Neurothekeoma palpebrae: a rare nerve sheath tumor arising in the eyelid

PURPOSE: To report a case of an eyelid neurothekeoma, a rare peripheral nerve sheath tumor. METHODS: Case report. RESULTS: An excisional biopsy, performed on a lesion removed from the upper eyelid of a 76-year-old woman, revealed the clinical and histopathologic features of a neurothekeoma, a tumor consisting of multiple collections of spindle cells in a myxomatous background. Immunohistochemical characterization showed positivity for NK1/C3, neuron-specific enolase, and alcian blue. CONCLUSION: Neurothekeoma palpebrae should be considered in the differential diagnosis of solitary nodules of the eyelids.     

大剂量甲基强的松龙静脉内冲击疗法治疗顽固性巩膜炎

评估甲基强的松龙对严重顽固性巩膜炎的疗效,为治疗严重顽固性巩膜炎寻找一种理想的方法。方法：１０例严重顽固性巩膜炎患者采用静脉内大剂量甲基强的松龙冲击疗法（５００ｍｇ／日）,连续３天为一疗程,可重复几个疗程,每疗程后间隔３～４天,并逐渐减量。结果：３～４疗程后,１０例患者其平均记分由治疗前的１２．２分降低到２．４分（Ｐ＜０．０１）,病情改善者３例,治愈者７例。副反应轻微。结论：静脉内大剂量甲基强的松龙冲击疗法治疗巩膜炎疗效高、作用快、副反应轻,是一种理想的治疗方法。值得进一步总结。     

(-)-Epiafzelechin: cyclooxygenase-1 inhibitor and anti-inflammatory agent from aerial parts of Celastrus orbiculatus.

An inhibitor of cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 activity of prostaglandin H2 synthase was isolated from aerial parts of Celastrus orbiculatus Thunb. (Celastraceae), an oriental folk medicine for rheumatoid arthritis by activity-guided column chromatographic methods. The COX inhibitor was identified as (-)-epiafzelechin, a member of flavan-3-ols by the structural analysis with HR-EI-mass, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectral data. The compound exhibited a dose-dependent inhibition on the COX activity with an IC50 value of 15 microM. (-)-Epiafzelechin exhibited about 3-fold weaker inhibitory potency on the enzyme activity than indomethacin as a positive control. (-)-Epiafzelechin exhibited significant anti-inflammatory activity on carrageenin-induced mouse paw edema when the compound (100 mg/kg) was orally administrated at 1 h before carrageenin treatment.     

Inducible nitric oxide synthase inhibitors fromMelia azedarach var.Japonica

In bioassay-guided search for inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) inhibitory compounds from higher plants of South Korea, two beta-carboline alkaloids, 4-methoxy-1-vinyl-beta-carboline (1) and 4,8-dimethoxy-l-vinyl-beta-carboline (2) have been isolated from the cortex of Melia azedarach var. japonica. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. Compounds 1 and 2 showed marked inhibitory activity of iNOS on LPS- and interferon-gamma-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells.     

Studies on constituents of Korean basidiomycetes (L)

To find antitumor metabolites in Korean basidiomycetes, the shake-cultured mycelia of eight of the higher fungi were extracted with hot water and the extracts, after being partially purified, were subjected toin vivo antitumor test. When administeredi.p. at the dose of 30mg/kg/day for ten consecutive days into the female ICR mice, which had been implanted with 1×10⁵ cells of sarcoma 180 twenty-four hours before the first injection, the extracts ofAgaricus campestris, Lyophyllum decastes, Lyophyllum ulmarium, Armillaria tabescence andCalvatia exipulitormis respectively showed inhibition ratios of 64.1%, 65.4%, 60.0%, 53.0% and 49.3%. These five species were selected for further study, whereas the extracts ofPhallus impudicus, Coprinus comatus andPholiota squarrosa which showed the inhibition ratios of 31.2%, 33.5% and 19.0% were discontinued.     

电针对去势大鼠外周血淋巴细胞雌激素受体影响的研究

目的　从生殖内分泌 -免疫网络角度探讨电针治疗围绝经期综合征的作用机制。方法　以去势大鼠为实验对象 ,取双侧三阴交、太溪、后三里穴 ,采用放射免疫法和流式细胞分析技术 ,观察电针治疗对去势大鼠血清雌激素 (E2 )、促黄体生成素 (LH)、促卵泡生成素(FSH)及外周血淋巴细胞内雌激素受体 (ER)水平的影响。结果　电针可使去势大鼠血清E2 明显升高 ,LH及FSH明显下降 ,外周血淋巴细胞内ER明显升高 ,与造模组比较有显著性差异。结论　电针可明显改善去势大鼠的生殖内分泌功能 ,并能调节免疫细胞的雌激素受体表达。     

SARS冠状病毒基因组序列分析与抗SARS药物设计

SARS冠状病毒是诱发SARS的主要病原体，文章综述了SARS冠状病毒基因组序列分析的最新进展，SARS冠状病毒编码的蛋白酶在病毒繁殖过程中具有重要功能，可以其作为靶点进行抗SARS冠状病毒药物的筛选。     

帕珠沙星合成中的Hofmann重排反应

将帕珠沙星的合成关键中间体(3S)—9—氟—10—(1—氨甲酰基环丙基)—3—甲基—7—氧代—2，3—二氢—7H—吡啶[1，2，3—de]—1，4—苯并嚼嗪—6—羧酸溶于甲醇钠／甲醇溶液中，于—40℃加溴进行Hofmann重排得到帕珠沙星。收率69％。     

红霉素环11,12-碳酸酯的体外抗菌活性研究

目的评 价红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯的体外抗菌活性。方法 采用琼脂平皿二倍稀释法测定国产和进口红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯对临床分离致病菌的体外抗菌作用，并与红霉素、罗红霉素、克拉霉素、地红霉素、阿奇霉素和乙酰螺旋霉素进行了比较。结果 国产和进口红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯对579株临床分离菌的抗菌活性相近，对革兰氏阳性菌和厌氧菌的抗菌活性比红霉素强2～8倍，优于罗红霉素、克拉霉素、地红霉索、阿奇霉素、乙酰螺旋霉素，但对革兰氏阴性菌的抗菌活性稍弱于阿奇霉素。红霉索环11，12-碳酸酯对金葡菌显示抑菌作用，对化脓链球菌在2～4倍MIC浓度时显示杀菌作用；红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯抗金葡菌和化脓链球菌的活性随着pH的增加而增强，接种量和血清浓度对国产红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯抗金葡菌和化脓链球菌的活性无明显影响。结论 红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯具有较强的体外抗菌活性，国产红霉素环11，12-碳酸酯抗菌活性与进口相近，优于红霉素、罗红霉素、克拉霉素、地红霉素、阿奇霉素和乙酰螺旋霉素。     

纤维喉镜下气管食管穿刺术及Provox发音钮植入的体会

目的 探讨采用纤维喉镜监察替代硬管食管镜或颈外径路进行气管食管穿刺及植入Provox发音钮的效果。方法 本文引述2例在纤维喉镜下进行二期气管食管穿刺术，2例分别在全麻及局麻下进行，植入Provox发音钮后，再以纤维喉镜检定位置。结果 2例术后能实时使用Provox发音钮发声，音色响亮清澈，并无不良反应。结论 纤维喉镜监察下进行气管食管穿刺术，准确性高，手术创伤小，对因手术或放疗引起颈项不能后仰的病人特别有利。
