Antidromic activity was recorded in anesthetized rats from single afferent fibers in the proximal ends of cut dorsal root filaments at the L(4-6) level and tested for responses to acute cutaneous inflammation produced by intradermal injection of capsaicin. This antidromic activity included low-frequency spontaneous firing and dorsal root reflex (DRR) discharges evoked by applying von Frey hairs to the skin of the foot. DRRs could be recorded from both small myelinated (Adelta) and unmyelinated (C) afferent fibers, as well as from large myelinated (Abeta) fibers. After capsaicin was injected intradermally into the plantar skin of the foot, a significant enhancement of DRR activity was seen in Adelta and C fibers but not in Abeta fibers, and this increase lasted for approximately 1 h. This study supports the hypothesis that centrally mediated antidromic activity in Adelta and C primary afferent fibers contributes to the development of neurogenic inflammation, presumably by release of inflammatory substances in the periphery. 相似文献

Cells of patients with ataxia telangiectasia (AT), an inheriteddisease characterized by a high propensity to cancer, are hypersensitiveto ionizing radiation. We investigated whether the hyper-radiosensitivityof AT cells correlated with a defect in their constitutive and/orconditional ability to rescue a damaged exogenous virus. Forthat purpose, parvovirus H-1, a single-stranded DNA virus whoseintranuclear replication mostly relies on host cell functions,was used as a probe. The survival of u.v.-or -irradiated H-1was measured in X-, u.v.- or mock-irradiated human cells ofnormal (NB-E) or AT (AT5BIVA) origin. -irradiated H-1 survivedto similar extents in untreated normal and AT cell lines. BothX- and u.v.-irradiatlon induced normal cells to achieve an enhancedreactivation (ER) of -- or u.v.-damaged H-1. In contrast, neitherdose-effect curves nor time course revealed significant levelsof ER expression after X- or u.v.-irradiation in AT5BIVA cells.Our results suggest that the impairment of ER of damaged parvovirusesmay constitute a marker of the AT cell phenotype and be relatedto the radiosensitivity of AT cells. 相似文献

Radiation therapy is widely used in the treatment of tumor diseases, but it can also cause serious damage to the body, so it is necessary to find effective nutritional supplements. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the protective effect of whey hydrolysate peptides (WHPs) against 60Coγ radiation damage in mice and explore the mechanism. BALB/c mice were given WHPs by oral gavage administration for 14 days. Then, some mice underwent a 30-day survival test after 8 Gy radiation, and other mice received 3.5 Gy radiation to analyze the changes in body weight, hematology and bone marrow DNA after three and 14 days. In addition, through further analysis of the level of oxidative stress and intestinal barrier function, the possible mechanism of the radioprotective effect of WHPs was explored. The study found WHPs can prolong survival time, restore body weight, and increase the number of peripheral blood white blood cells and bone marrow DNA content in irradiated mice. In addition, WHPs can significantly improve the antioxidant capacity, inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines and protect the intestinal barrier. These results indicate that WHPs have a certain radioprotective effect in mice, and the main mechanism is related to reducing oxidative damage. 相似文献

目的:认识多发伤中骨折的主要特点,探讨内固定在救治中的意义。方法:回顾1994-08~1999-08间手术救治多发伤66例,对其161处骨折中的98处进行了“仿AO技术”有关方法内固定。结果:骨折均满意愈合;涉及骨折关节51个,功能恢复满意率为96.08%。结论:在多发伤中,骨折、合并伤与并发症远较“一般骨折”复杂、严重;有效固定骨折是一种重要的救命措施;内固定手术应争取在伤后24h进行,但如受条件制约,伤后1-3wk内手术也可获得满意效果;仿AO技术中的某些方法,如拉力螺钉、张力带钢丝及自动加压钢板等,用于内固定可使骨折获得卓有成效的稳定性。 相似文献

目的:评价^32P灌注球囊预防再狭窄的有效性、可行性和安全性。方法:对猪冠状动脉左前降支行过度球囊扩张术后,治疗组以^32P作血管内照射,对照组作假照射。术后35d收获目标血管、检测血管形态、细胞增殖百分比等。结果:治疗组血管腔面积较对照组明显增大(P<0.01),新生内膜面积、血管狭窄程度和各层PCNA阳性细胞明显减小(P均<0.01)。结论:^31P灌注球囊照射预防冠状动脉再狭窄有效、安全而且可行。 相似文献
