The computational approach for solving the Faddeev-Merkuriev equations in total orbital momentum representation is presented. These equations describe a system of three quantum charged particles and are widely used in bound state and scattering calculations. The approach is based on the spline collocation method and exploits intensively the tensor product form of discretized operators and preconditioner, which leads to a drastic economy in both computer resources and time.  相似文献

Liver failure can lead to generalized hyperammonemia, which is thought to be the underlying cause of hepatic encephalopathy. This neuropsychiatric syndrome is accompanied by functional changes of astrocytes. These glial cells enter ammonia-induced self-amplifying cycle characterized by brain oedema, oxidative and osmotic stress that causes modification of proteins and RNA. Consequently, protein expression and function are affected, including that of glutamine synthetase and plasmalemmal glutamate transporters, leading to glutamate excitotoxicity; Ca2+-dependent exocytotic glutamate release from astrocytes contributes to this extracellular glutamate overload.  相似文献

Aims: This study was designed to determine if steroids, capsaicin and mytomicin improved skin flap survival in rats, and it has confirmed that thermography is an effective method to measured skin flap vitality. Methods: Forty female Wistar rats were randomised into four groups. A standardised full thickness inferiorly based dorsal random‐pattern skin flap was raised, and a gelatine sponge was placed before suturing between the flap and its recipient bed, soaked with 0.9 % saline in the control group and with capsaicin, methylprednisolone and mitomycini in the experimental groups. Vitality of the flap and of the survival area was measured by infrared thermography. Results: Methylprednisolone statistically significant decrease skin flap necrosis, approximately 56%, when compared with controls (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Corticosteroids applied subcutaneously in a single dose on a gelatine sponge produced a statistically significant improvement of the survival of random skin flaps in rats, whereas capsaicin and mitomycin showed no improvement.  相似文献

BACKGROUND CONTEXTAnterior cervical discectomy and fusion is a common procedure for degenerative cervical radiculopathy. In 1996, Dr. H.D. Jho reported an operative technique allowing nerve root decompression via anterior uncoforaminotomy whereas avoiding fusion.PURPOSETo assess long-term clinical and radiological outcomes of anterior uncoforaminotomy in patients with degenerative cervical spine pathology.STUDY DESIGNA single clinic, retrospective cohort study.PATIENT SAMPLEAdult patients who underwent anterior uncoforaminotomy from 2013 to 2018.OUTCOME MEASURESClinical outcomes were assessed using VAS, NDI, SF-36 criteria. Radiological parameters included sagittal balance, disc height and White anPanjabi criterion.MATERIALS AND METHODSAll patients underwent unilateral single-level anterior uncoforaminotomy, and long-term clinical and radiologic follow up was carried out. Clinical outcomes were assessed using VAS, NDI, SF-36 criteria. Radiological parameters evaluated included sagittal balance, disc height and White and Panjabi criteria (3.5 mm of translation, 11 degrees of kyphosis). The mean follow-up period was 33.3 ± 10.6 months (range 12–57 months).RESULTSAll measures of clinical outcome improved. VAS (neck) and VAS (arm) decreased 3 [2; 4] and 5 [3; 5.2] points (median [interquartile range]), respectively (p<0.001); NDI improved from 0.38 [0.36; 0.4], to 0.29 [0.22; 0.34] (p<0.001). Two patients (6%) required additional surgery one year after operation. There were no complications in the perioperative period. Disc height decreased 0.8 mm [0.1; 2.1] (p<0.001). All patients retained stability of the cervical spine based on White and Panjabi criteria. Sagittal balance parameters did not change significantly.CONCLUSIONUncoforaminotomy is an effective and safe method to decompress a unilateral single-level nerve root in degenerative cervical radiculopathy whereas preserving anatomy and motion of the cervical spine.  相似文献

Flow diverter devices have become a routine first-line option for treatment of an increasing population of intracranial aneurysms at many neurovascular centers. Despite the promising results of flow diverter stents on anterior circulation, incomplete occlusion on the presence of fetal posterior circulation has been described on several reports. Here we describe a novel technical alternative to conventional flow diversion approach for this specific subgroup of aneurysms using the low-profile flow diverter, Silk Vista Baby. The device was selectively placed into the fetal type posterior cerebral artery in half-T configuration for the treatment of a posterior communicating aneurysm using a transcirculation approach through the anterior communicating artery. This represents a useful and effective technique and should be considered when encountering the above-described situation.  相似文献

Fetal hemoglobin (HbF) is a physiologic protein tetramer that is crucial for a developing fetus to survive in utero. Maternal hemoglobin has a relatively lower affinity for oxygen, and thus allows for an efficient transfer of oxygen from maternal to fetal blood. In addition to fulfilling a critical physiologic role, HbF is also known to alleviate symptoms of sickle-cell disease (SCD). The concentration of HbF depends on several factors. HbF is elevated in inherited conditions, such as hereditary persistence of HbF, hereditary spherocytosis, and thalassemia. The level of HbF is also increased in acquired states, such as pregnancy, aplastic anemia, thyrotoxicosis, hepatoma, myeloproliferative disorders, or hypoplastic myelodysplastic syndrome. It has been identified that some genetic loci have significant influence on HbF levels. The XmnI polymorphism, the HMIP locus, and the BCL11A gene are responsible for 45% of variations in HbF levels. Although SCD has been well described in the subpopulations of Africa, it is less common in the subpopulations of India. We describe a case of SCD, in which a patient with high HbF level presented at a very late age (27 years old). We presume the patient’s inherently elevated HbF levels were able to compensate for the hypoxic episodes associated with SCD. The onset of symptoms was delayed as a result of elevated HbF levels.  相似文献
