Innervation of the trapezius muscle: is cervical contribution important to its function?

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of the cervical plexus and the accessory nerve to the function of the trapezius muscle. STUDY DESIGN AND SETTING: Eighteen adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups. The neurotomies were performed in the left sides and the right sides served as within-subject controls. In group A, the accessory nerve was transected. The C2-5 were transected in group B, and both of the accessory nerve and C2-5 were cut in group C. The electrophysiologic, myophysiologic, and histologic changes of the muscles were measured. RESULTS: There were significant differences (P < 0.05) between the three groups in the recovery rates of the transverse area of the muscles. The CMAP recorded from the experimental sides in group B were similar to the control sides. The values of the maximum tension of the tetanus contraction between the two sides showed no differences either (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION: The accessory nerve supplies the most important motor input to the trapezius. Motor innervations of the cervical plexus are not very significant.     

用酶联免疫吸附术观察向附睾注射鱼肝油酸钠后抗精子抗体的变化

本研究用酶联免疫吸附术观察8只家兔在附睾注射鱼肝油酸钠后血清及精浆中的抗精子抗体。血清抗精子抗体阳性率为37.5～50.0%,最早检出率为术后2个月,6～7月达高峰。精浆抗精子抗体阳性率为25%,最早检出率为术后4个月,且此时己达高峰。与输精管结扎资料相比,发现血清抗精子抗体检出率偏低,而精浆相应抗体偏高,表明向附睾注射鱼肝油酸钠引起的免疫反应有别于结扎,以生殖道局部为主。     

Technic of esophagogastrostomy using intraluminal elastic circular ligation. Clinical analysis of 100 cases

The results of 100 cases of carcinomas of esophagus and gastric cardia by resection and intraluminal elastic circular ligation was reported. The operation method and analysis of the results of the treatment are discussed. The authors suggest that it may be better if the supporting tube made by absorbable material.     

A GIANT INTRAOCULAR FOREIGN BODY OF NONMAGNETIC METAL REPORT OF A CASE

A perusal of the medical literature re- vealod only one case of giant nonmetallic in traocular foreign body, 15x11x7 mm, removed in China However, no mention was made of the operative result of the wounded eye in the report. Usually after removal of intraocular foriegn bodies, especially the giant ones, the eyeball becomes inevitably atrophied, thus it has to be enucleated soon after operation. We removed a giant intraocular metallic foreign body, measuring 18.1x9x1.5 mm and weighing 0.24 g, from the left eye of a patient at our clinic. Follow-up l year after operation found that the eyeball of the affected eye was good in appearance with preservation of partial vision.

聚氯乙烯增塑糊流变行为的研究——Ⅳ.表面活性剂的影响

本文研究了各类表面活性剂对聚氯乙烯增塑糊流变行为的影响。阴离子表面活性剂使其增塑糊有较高致流值,呈明显假塑性流动;阳离子和非离子表面活性剂使其增塑糊有低的表观粘度,接近牛顿型流动。测定了聚氯乙烯粒子表面的Zeta电位和接触角,并讨论了表面活性剂影响增塑糊流变性能的机理。
