The current document commissioned by the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and endorsed by the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and Heart Rhythm Society represents a comprehensive update to the 2012 and 2016 consensus documents on patient-centered best practices in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. Comprising updates to staffing and credentialing, as well as evidence-based updates to the pre-, intra-, and post-procedural logistics, clinical standards and patient flow, the document also includes an expanded section on CCL governance, administration, and approach to quality metrics. This update also acknowledges the collaboration with various specialties, including discussion of the heart team approach to management, and working with electrophysiology colleagues in particular. It is hoped that this document will be utilized by hospitals, health systems, as well as regulatory bodies involved in assuring and maintaining quality, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of patient throughput in this high volume area.  相似文献

Considering the fungicidal threat to the sustainable agro-environment, the toxicological impacts of three fungicides, namely kitazin, hexaconazole and carbendazim, on the biological, chemical and morpho-anatomical changes of peas were assessed. Fungicide applications in general caused a slow but gradual reduction in growth, symbiosis and yields of peas, which, however, varied appreciably among species and concentrations of the three fungicides. Of the three fungicides, carbendazim had the most lethal effect, in which it delayed seed germination and also diminished the overall pea growth. Carbendazim at 3000 μg kg−1 maximally reduced the germination, SVI, size of roots and shoots and total dry matter accumulation in roots, shoots and whole plants distinctly by 40%, 84%, 72%, 73%, 68%, 75% and 73% (p ≤ 0.05), respectively. Hexaconazole at 120 μg kg−1 significantly (p ≤ 0.05) declined total chlorophyll, carotenoids, grain yields, grain protein, root P and shoot N by 19%, 28%, 46%, 69%, 48% and 51%, respectively, over the control. The synthesis of stress biomarkers and oxidative stress were increased with increasing dosage rates of fungicides. Proline content in roots, shoots, leaves and grains, MDA, electrolyte leakage and H2O2 of plants grown in soil treated with 288 μg kg−1 kitazin were increased significantly (p ≤ 0.05) by 73%, 52%, 41%, 24%, 59%, 40% and 27%, respectively, relative to the control. Antioxidant defence enzymes were greater in pea foliage. The SEM and CLSM images revealed an obvious alteration in root tips, enhanced cellular damage and cell death when plants were raised under fungicide stress. Also, morpho-anatomical variations in fungicide-treated foliage were visible in the SEM images. Overall, the present study suggests that a careful and secure strategy should be adopted before fungicides are chosen for enhancing pulse production in different agro-climatic regions.

The study evaluated the hepatoprotective activity of plant extracts of cinnamon and glycyrrhizin in distinct dosage ways to minimize the oxidative stress induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in BALB/cJ inbred albino mice. Fifteen albino mice were divided into five groups, each group containing three mice. Group A was referred as positive control while group B, C, D and E were injected intraperitoneally with 1 mL/kg body weight of CCl4 twice a week for 1 month. Group C and D were treated orally with isolated extracts of cinnamon @50 mg/kg and glycyrrhizin @50 mg/kg respectively on daily basis for 1 month. However, group E was treated orally with combination dose of cinnamon @50 mg/kg + glycyrrhizin @50 mg/kg body weight. The increase in the levels of alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), triglyceride (TG), malondialdehyde (MDA) and glucose were recorded in CCl4 induced liver injury in mice while there is decrease in the levels of total protein (TP), reduced glutathione (GSH), Superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) in CCL4 intoxicated mice. Isolated therapy of plant extracts of cinnamon and glycyrrhizin decreased the levels of ALT, AST, ALP, MDA, TG and glucose whereas increase in TP, GSH, SOD and CAT was observed in plant extracts treated mice. The best restoration of all the above said parameters near to control was observed in group of mice treated with combination dose of cinnamon and glycyrrhizin @50 mg/kg. Therefore, the present study declared the antioxidative, anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective activity of standardized extracts of cinnamon and glycyrrhizin and their potent defensive property.

We have found that the efficiency of fluorescence resonance energy transfer between Cy3 and Cy5 terminally attached to the 5′ ends of a DNA duplex is significantly affected by the relative orientation of the two fluorophores. The cyanine fluorophores are predominantly stacked on the ends of the helix in the manner of an additional base pair, and thus their relative orientation depends on the length of the helix. Observed fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) efficiency depends on the length of the helix, as well as its helical periodicity. By changing the helical geometry from B form double-stranded DNA to A form hybrid RNA/DNA, a marked phase shift occurs in the modulation of FRET efficiency with helix length. Both curves are well explained by the standard geometry of B and A form helices. The observed modulation for both polymers is less than that calculated for a fully rigid attachment of the fluorophores. However, a model involving lateral mobility of the fluorophores on the ends of the helix explains the observed experimental data. This has been further modified to take account of a minor fraction of unstacked fluorophore observed by fluorescent lifetime measurements. Our data unequivocally establish that Förster transfer obeys the orientation dependence as expected for a dipole–dipole interaction.  相似文献
