Challenges and opportunities of utilizing municipal solid waste as alternative building materials for sustainable development goals: A review

Strict environmental concern, depletion, and price hike of building construction materials are driving scientific studies for the search of alternative materials for building construction. To this end sustainable building materials could be a fruitful solution. This review aims to discern the environmental efficacy of solid waste management (SWM) and its relationship with four stimuli i.e., economic structure, regulatory structure, science, and time. The study also highlights the investigation of governance network to figure out the regulatory structure and governance of waste management. Extensive details on solid waste with their sources, recycling potential and their current utilization for substantial development are outlined. A throughout of the production process, properties, advantages, disadvantages, and the global economy of building material developed through recycling of solid waste are discussed. This article also deals with the sustainability, social, and environmental impact of green building materials. The study identifies the future direction for the effective utilization of solid waste for developing building materials. Further, the scope of the present also focusses on the concept of circular economy for developing construction materials through recycling of solid waste, which provides an easy reference for solid waste processing towards sustainability.     

DEVELOPMENT OF AN EFFICIENT AND SIMPLE METHOD FOR CONJUGATION OF LACCASE TO IMMUNOGLOBULIN AND ITS CHARACTERIZATION BY ENZYME IMMUNOASSAY

A new laccase-conjugated antibody is developed, containing laccase as an enzyme marker, obtained from culture supernatant of the basidiomycetous fungi Pleurotus ostreatus. The efficacy of the laccase-conjugated antibody was demonstrated in indirect and direct enzyme immunoassay after using periodate and glutaraldehyde conjugation methods. The assay based on laccase-conjugated antibody is potent to detect antigens when compared with peroxidase conjugated antibody.     

双相恶性子宫肿瘤:一例报道及文献复习(英文)

We present a rare case of a 50-year old lady who presented with pain abdomen and bleeding per vaginum of 3 months duration. Per vaginal examination revealed an exophytic growth arising from vault. Histopathological examination of the vault biopsy showed malignant neoplasm with features suggestive of carcinosarcoma of vault with immunohistochemistry showing stromal cells positive for CD10 and negative for SMA. Ki67 index was 40%-50%. She received external beam radiotherapy to pelvis 50.4 Gy/25 fractions but did not respond to the same. The lesion was not surgically resectable and hence referred to the division of medical oncology for chemotherapy. She was started on ifosphamide with cisplatin with growth factor support. It was planned to do a reassessment after 3 cycles of chemotherapy, but patient succumbed to the illness.
