Stereoregulating behaviour of organoalkali and organoalkaline earth metal compounds in methyl methacrylate (MMA) polymerization has been studied. Low temperature and polar solvents such as tetrahydrofuran (THF) favour formation of syndiotactic polymer when lithium and magnesium ketyls are used as catalysts. Whereas isotactic polymer is obtained with sodium ketyl even in THF at ?70°C. Lithium aluminum hydride (LiAlH4) gave almost complete isotactic polymer in high conversion in diethyl ether or toluene even at low temperature, and lithium aluminum tetraethyl (LiAlEt4), on the other hand, gave very highly syndiotactic polymer under the same conditions. The solvent, besides, showed very important role in stereoregulation, that is, LiAlH4 could give syndiotactic polymer in a polar solvent at low temperature. Polymer structure was analyzed by NMR- and IR-spectroscopy. The electrical conductivities of these catalyst systems were measured and there was found a parallelism between those values and stereoregularities of polymers obtained by the respective catalyst systems. 相似文献

A questionnaire on the prognosis of bronchial asthma was sent in 1988 to 1592 patients (1038 males, 554 females) averaging 20 years of age after 12 years' follow up. We reported on the prognosis and risk factors associated with asthmatic children in part I. The relation between prognosis and other allergic complications, treatment and laboratory data were investigated in this study. Eosinophil counts of more than 1000/mm3 and/or total serum IgE levels of more than 500 IU/ml (100 IU/ml in infants) indicated poor prognosis. However, the prognosis was not affected either by the allergens themselves or by the number of allergens determined by skin test and RAST. The prognosis was worse for patients with multiple allergic complications than for those without complications. Treatment may after the natural course of childhood asthma, but it has been difficult to evaluate the effect of each regimen over a long period. We compared the effect of hyposensitization (specific immunization) and non-bronchodilator antiasthmatic drugs (NBAAD), and found that hyposensitization alone gave better results than NBAAD and its combination. We had better results from hyposensitization over a period of 1 to 5 years than for less than 1 year or more than 5 years. We conclude that asthmatic children with risk factors should be kept under strict environmental control and given suitable therapeutic regimens to avoid the development of allergic diseases, the slow down of "allergic march", and to avoid intractable asthma. 相似文献

A 59-year-old woman with leukorrhea. Aspiration smears were obtained from the uterine cavity. The dominant cellular components were fibrogenic sarcomatous cells, which had ill-defined lacy cytoplasm and a single nucleus with finely granular chromatin. There were occasional naked giant cells, and intracytoplasmic eosinophilic granules. Another infrequent cellular component was adenocarcinoma cells. Histopathologically, adenocarcinoma and spindle cell sarcoma were equivalently identified. Twenty-two cases of homologous carcinosarcoma of the uterine corpus were reviewed cytologically in Japan. Cytodiagnosis before treatment was positive for malignancy of carcinosarcoma in 28.6%. Characteristic cytological findings of this case were the presence of flat sheets of atypical cells with broad cytoplasm. These findings suggest epithelial features. However, the finely granular chromatin pattern and smooth nuclear membrane indicate sarcomatous cells. 相似文献

During light work using the arm in a warm environment, skin temperatures of the arms and chest fell and remained at lower levels during work. The fall in skin temperature during work was not observed in a cool environment. The fall in skin temperature was nearly proportional to work intensity and was observed in both static and dynamic work. Leg work of moderate intensity produced an initial decline and a subsequent rise in skin temperatures of the hands, thighs and legs. A significant fall in skin temperature was observed not only in the foot but also in inactive regions such as the epigastrium. The mean skin temperature remained practically unchanged during work. The fall in skin temperature during work was not due to increased evaporative cooling, but was the result of segmental vasoconstriction probably caused as a reflex in the spinal cord by non-thermal afferents from exercising muscles or moving tissues. The effect of thermoregulatory vasodilation was reduced by the reflex vasoconstriction caused by non-thermal factors. The rise in internal temperature during work could be explained by decreased heat loss due to persistently lower skin temperature. 相似文献

HLA-B5 and B35 CREG antigens include HLA-B35, B51, B52, B53, and B78. Recent studies suggest that the genes encoding the HLA-B5, B35 CREG, and HLA-B58 antigens share a common ancestor. We sequenced the exons of the genes encoding HLA-B51, B53, and B58 from American black individuals and the gene HLA-B52 encoding from an Arabic individual, and compared them with previously reported sequences of HLA-B51 (B*5101) and HLA-B52 (B*5201) from Japanese, HLA-B53 (B*5301) from an Algerian, and HLA-B58 (B*5801) from a Sardinian. The sequences of the genes from the American black and Arabic individuals were identical to those from the other races. By contrast to well-defined Fc gamma and Fc epsilon receptors, the structural and functional characteristics of Fc mu receptor are unclear. We have recently described a novel mouse Fc receptor, designated Fc alpha/mu receptor, and its human homologue, which bind both IgM and IgA. Here we show that the Fc alpha/mu receptor is expressed on mature, but not immature, B lymphocytes and acquires the ability to bind IgM and IgA antibodies after stimulation of B lymphocytes. Moreover, stimulation with phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate increased endocytosis of IgM-coated microparticles mediated by the Fc alpha/mu receptor expressed on pro-B cell line Ba/F3 cells. We also show that the Fc alpha/mu receptor is expressed in secondary lymphoid organs, such as lymph node and appendix, kidney and intestine, suggesting an important role of the receptor for immunity in these organs. 相似文献

PD-1 and its ligands, B7-H1/PD-L1 and B7-DC/PD-L2, have been identified recently as CD28-B7 family molecules that are implicated in immune regulation. Lichen planus (LP) is a T cell-mediated chronic inflammatory mucocutaneous disease. We investigated the expression and function of PD-1 and its two ligands in LP. Immunohistochemical examination revealed the abundant expression of PD-1 and B7-H1 in infiltrating T cells and macrophages, and lower-level expression of B7-DC on macrophages in the subepithelium. Interestingly, substantial expression of B7-H1 on keratinocytes (KCs) was found close to the numerous T cell infiltrates in the subepithelium. Unstimulated cultured KCs expressed both B7-H1 and B7-DC, and their expression was upregulated by proinflammatory cytokines, particularly IFN-gamma. The T-cell proliferative responses and IFN-gamma production that were induced by IFN-gamma-treated KCs were augmented preferentially by anti-B7-H1 mAb, but not by anti-B7-DC mAb. These results indicate the regulatory role of B7-H1 on KCs in the interactions with T cells. Our results suggest that the induction of B7-H1 on KCs may play an important role in tolerance induction in the inflamed oral mucosa and skin. 相似文献
