The authors present the results of studying the neuropsychic development of 100 children of the first year of life engaged in swimming and of 50 children of the same age not engaged in swimming. The neuropsychic development was appraised in accordance with the Tables given in the Methodological Recommendations worked out by the Gorky Research Institute in 1982. The swimming was found to cause a marked advance in the neuropsychic development of the children. That advance was discovered even after a month since the swimming onset. The development of movements and emotions was influenced first of all and to a greater degree. Later the swimming produced a favourable effect on the development of speech. 3-(2, 2, 2-trimethylhydrazinium) propionate (THP) inhibits gamma-butyrobetaine hydroxylase, which is accompanied by a drop in myocardial free carnitin content. In rabbits, 200 mg/kg THP, administered intraperitoneally for 10 days, decreases free carnitin and long-chain acylcarnitin by 59.8 and 59.2%, respectively. In a carnitin-depressing dose, THP helps to recover contractility of isolated atria after hypoxic exposure. THP prevents isoproterenol-induced accumulation of long-chain acylcarnitin and ATR fall in the rat myocardium. The protective effect of THP is realized in the presence of considerably reduced (by an average of 77.8%) myocardial free carnitin levels. Inhibition of carnitin-dependent fatty acids metabolism by reducing intracellular carnitin concentration is a pathogenetically justified method of myocardial protection against ischemic damage. 相似文献

The possibility of using intermittent hypoxic training for stimulation of physiological mechanisms underlying the compensatory
hemodynamic reactions to orthostatic load was studied in animal experiments. Intermittent hypoxic training had a favorable
impact on circulatory reactions, which manifested in stabilization of blood pressure and heart filling pressure and in a decrease
in orthostatic hypotension during the initial period of orthostasis. We hypothesized that the positive effect of intermittent
hypoxic training on the correction of negative hemodynamic shifts is determined by the training effect aimed at the increase
in the vascular tone and venous return to the heart. These results can serve as validation for preventive use of intermittent
hypoxic training for reducing blood draining in the lower part of the body, correction of the compensatory orthostatic reaction
of the circulatory system, and hence, for improvement of orthostatic resistance.
