The author sets forth a gas chromatographic technique for the detection of monochloracetic acid (MCAA) and its sodium salts in the air, in skin washings, overalls extracts, and urine. The substances were identified as propyl ether. The analysis was performed on a chromatograph supplied with a plasma-ionizing detector on a 2 m-long glass column, with the chromatrone N-AW-DMCS. The detection capacity in the sample was 0.005 microgram/microliter, in the air for MCAA - 0.5 mg/m3, for MCAA sodium salt - 0.25 mg/m3. Standard deviation did not exceed 0.16. Experiments on unbred male mice demonstrated qualitative differences in the pharmacological effect of substance P fragments (P1-4 and P5-11) injected intraperitoneally in a dose of 250 mcg/kg. Fragments P1-4 and P1-4 dodecylamide on the one hand, had a positive effect on the level of motivation which was displayed by lesser consumption of alcohol by the animals, and, on the other, possessed immunocorrective properties manifested by restoration of macrophage phagocytic activity and immune response to sheep erythrocytes, which were impaired by chronic alcoholic intoxication. A sanatorium stage in the rehabilitation of patients who have aortic valve prosthesis is of great importance. The impact of bicycle ergometric trainings on these patients' physical rehabilitation had been little studied. Bicycle ergometric testing prior to and following the training and examination of external respiratory parameters enabled their efficiency to be increased. Bicycle ergometric trainings were demonstrated to improve the patients' status, to increase their physical working capacity, to result in a positive dynamics in heart rates and oxygen consumption. Correlated electrocardiographic and hemodynamic changes have been demonstrated in 60 convalescent patients within 3 years after aortic valve replacement by means of bicycle ergometry (BEM) and simultaneous Kubicek's impedance rheoplethysmography. As electrocardiographic ischemic changes are more frequent during recovery, while their hemodynamic causes are different during and after exercise, BEM load increment should be intermittent in patients with aortic valve prosthesis.
