In this paper, the behavior of quasielastic light scattering (QELS) in a PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3 (PMN) crystal under broadband Brillouin light scattering in a temperature range from 750 K to 80 K was studied. It was shown that QELS consists of two components: narrow (0.9 GHz to 11 GHz) and wide (80 GHz to 600 GHz). The dependencies of the intensity, I, of these components on the frequency, ν, are well described by the power law I ~ eνα, with different α, and are determined by the distribution of the relaxation times. The analysis of the Brillouin spectra showed that the behavior of the relaxation time of both the components of QELS with temperature change is well described by the Arrhenius law. Additionally, in the vicinity of the intermediate temperature T* ≈ 380 K, a critical relaxation time behavior for the narrow component of QELS was detected. In the vicinity of the same temperature, a maximum in the integral intensity of both the components of QELS was observed, which is adjacent to another maximum in the region of the Vogel–Fulcher temperature TVF ≈ 250 K corresponding to the transformation of the crystal to a nonergodic state.  相似文献

To understand the involvement of thyroid hormone on the postnatal development of hypothalamic thermosensitive neurons, we focused on the analysis of thermosensitive neuronal activity in the preoptic and anterior hypothalamic (PO/AH) regions of developing rats with and without hypothyroidism. In euthyroid rats, the distribution of thermosensitive neurons in PO/AH showed that in 3-week-old rats (46 neurons tested), 19.5% were warm-sensitive and 80.5% were nonsensitive. In 5- to 12-week-old euthyroid rats (122 neurons), 33.6% were warm-sensitive and 66.4% were nonsensitive. In 5- to 12-week-old hypothyroid rats (108 neurons), however, 18.5% were warm-sensitive and 81.5% were nonsensitive. Temperature thresholds of warm-sensitive neurons were lower in 12-week-old euthyroid rats (36.4+/-0.2 degrees C, n = 15, p<0.01,) than in 3-week-old and in 5-week-old euthyroid rats (38.5+/-0.5 degrees C, n = 9 and 38.0+/-0.3 degrees C, n = 15, respectively). The temperature thresholds of warm-sensitive neurons in 12-week-old hypothyroid rats (39.5+/-0.3 degrees C, n = 8) were similar to that of warm-sensitive neurons of 3-week-old raats (euthyroid and hypothyroid). In contrast, there was no difference in the thresholds of warm-sensitive neurons between hypothyroid and euthyroid rats at the age of 3-5 weeks. In conclusion, monitoring the thermosensitive neuronal tissue activity demonstrated the evidence that thyroid hormone regulates the maturation of warm-sensitive hypothalamic neurons in developing rat brain by electrophysiological analysis.  相似文献

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways mediated, at least in part, by leukotrienes and other lipid mediators. Experimental studies have shown that lipid extract of New Zealand green-lipped mussel, Perna canaliculus, is effective in inhibiting 5'-lipoxygenase and cyclo-oxygenase pathways responsible for production of eicosanoids, including leukotrienes and prostaglandins. The aim of this study was to assess its effect on symptoms, peak expiratory flow (PEF) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in expired breath condensate as a marker of airway inflammation in patients with steroid-na?ve atopic asthma in a double-blind randomised, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Forty six patients with atopic asthma received two capsules of lipid extract (Lyprinol) or placebo b.i.d for 8 weeks. Each capsule of lipid extract contained 50 mg omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and 100 mg olive oil, whereas placebo capsules contained only 150 mg olive oil. There was a significant decrease in daytime wheeze, the concentration of exhaled H2O2 and an increase in morning PEF in the lipid extract group compared to the placebo group. There were no significant side-effects. The authors conclude that lipid extract of New Zealand green-lipped mussel may have some beneficial effect in patients with atopic asthma.  相似文献

Thirty-six tension-type headache subjects and 36 non-headache matched controls recorded their temporalis muscle electromyographic (EMG) activity and their pain intensity, stress and physical activity levels in a daily diary. Measurements were performed every 30 min for 6 days (EMG 3 days only). A time-lagged cross-correlational analysis between pain, stress, physical activity, and EMG shows that the highest correlation coefficient values occurred between pain and stress at the same ( r =0.33) and at the two preceding 0.5 h time points ( r =0.21 and r =0.26) in the headache group. Virtually no correlation was found between pain, stress, or physical activity with EMG for either group. These data show that temporalis muscle activity levels were not related to the rise and fall of the subjects' pain or stress levels. Conversely, elevated stress appeared to be highly related to pain; it occurs as both an antecedent and simultaneous event with elevated headache pain.  相似文献

Analysis is made of the results of a comprehensive examination of 313 bronchial asthma patients. The examination included the revealing of the information relations of the absolute count of blood eosinophils, their changes after administration of a standard dose of adrenaline, the eosinophil count in sputum and bronchial secretion. Significant information relations with the build-up parameters, alterations in bronchial patency, a number of immunological and biochemical characteristics were discovered. Analysis of the measure of the information relation evidences the pathogenetic and prognostic role of eosinophils in bronchial asthma.  相似文献
