Previous studies have investigated whether physical activity increases serotonin hormone levels. Serotonin receptor dysfunction is one of the frequently accused factors of premature ejaculation (PE). Nevertheless, no studies up to date have demonstrated that the association between physical activity and premature ejaculation. We aimed to investigate the relationship between physical activity and PE and determine whether moderate physical activity might delay ejaculation time or be an alternative treatment for PE. A total of 105 patients diagnosed with PE were enrolled in this study. Of the patients, 35 were treated with dapoxetine, (30 mg) on demand (Group 1), 35 performed moderate physical activities (Group 2), and 35 performed minimal physical activity (Group 3‐sham). Demographic characteristics, metabolic equivalents (MET), premature ejaculation diagnostic tool (PEDT) and intravaginal ejaculatory latency time (IELT) were recorded. There were no significant differences among three groups in terms of age, BMI, MET, PEDT or IELT before treatment. At the end of the study, there was significant decrease in PEDT scores, and increase in IELT in groups 1 and 2 as compared to Group 3. In conclusion, a moderate physical activity longer than 30 min at least 5 times a week leads to ejaculation delay, and appears as an alternative to dapoxetine on demand for the treatment of PE.  相似文献

The purpose of this morphologic study is to investigate the course and the branching pattern of motor branches of musculocutaneous nerve (MCN) in human fetuses. Twenty upper limbs (10 right, 10 left) of spontaneously aborted formalin-fixed fetuses were dissected under a stereomicroscope to determine motor branches for the biceps brachii and brachialis and the communicating branches between the MCN and median nerve (MN). The MCN entered the proximal and middle part of coracobrachialis in 13/20 and 5/20 of arms, respectively, and the remaining 2/20 did not pierce coracobrachialis. The communication between MCN and MN was observed in 5/20 of the arms and detected only in the distal part of the coracobrachialis. The most frequently observed innervation is the type wherein a single branch to biceps brachii, which bifurcated for supplying the short and long heads (12/20). For the innervation of brachialis, the most frequent type was a single branch from the main trunk of the MCN (15/20). During the dissections, the distance between the acromion and the emerging point of the motor branches was measured. The mean distance between the acromion and the emerging point of the all motor branches for biceps brachii in all types of specimens was 33.8 ± 6.1% of acromion-lateral epicondyle length and for brachialis was 50.6 ± 11.5% of acromion-lateral epicondyle length. The data of the MCN variations in the human fetus may be useful for the clinicians and pediatric surgery.  相似文献

We studied 20 adult ASA I patients undergoing elective peripheral surgery allocated randomly to one of two groups. In the propofol group (n = 9) anaesthesia was induced with propofol and fentanyl followed by continuous infusion of propofol. In the control group (n = 11), after induction of anaesthesia with thiopentone and fentanyl, anaesthesia was maintained with isoflurane. Concentrations of lipid peroxides in both plasma and muscle tissue samples were measured as thiobarbituric acid- reacting substances (TBARS). Plasma TBARS concentrations increased significantly in the control group at 1, 5, 15, 30 and 45 min after release of the tourniquet to mean 1.83 (SD 0.13), 2.00 (0.12), 2.25 (0.14), 2.30 (0.12) and 2.41 (0.14) mumol litre-1, respectively, compared with pre-reperfusion values (1.64 (0.14) mumol litre-1). In the propofol group this was significant only at 30 min (1.85 (0.03) vs 1.74 (0.04) mumol litre-1). TBARS concentrations of reperfused muscle tissue were significantly higher than pre-reperfusion concentrations in the control group (70.30(10.06) vs 52.13 (5.73) nmol/g wet tissue). We conclude that propofol attenuated ischaemia-reperfusion-induced lipid peroxidation in the therapeutic doses used in anaesthesia.   相似文献
