Concern for the health risk associated with occupational exposure to jet fuel has emerged in the Department of Defense. Jet propulsion fuel-8 (JP-8) is the fuel used in most US and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) jet aircraft, and will be the predominant fuel both for military land vehicles and aircraft into the twenty-first century. JP-8 exhibits reduced volatility and lower benzene content as compared to JP-4, the predominant military aircraft fuel before 1992, possibly suggesting greater occupational exposure safety. However, the higher rates of occupational exposure through fueling and maintenance of increasingly larger numbers of aircraft/vehicles raise concerns with respect to toxicity. Clinical studies of workers experiencing long-term exposure to certain jet fuels demonstrated deficits in CNS function, including fatigue, neurobehavioral changes, psychiatric disorders, and abnormal electroencephalogram (EEG). In the present study, cDNA nylon arrays (Atlas Rat 1.2 Array, Clontech Laboratories, Palo Alto, CA) were utilized to measure changes in gene expression in whole brain tissue of rats exposed repeatedly to JP-8, under conditions that simulated possible real-world occupational exposure (6 h/day for 91 days) to JP-8 vapor at 1,000 mg/m3. Gene expression analysis of the exposure group compared to the control group revealed a modulation of several genes, including glutathione S-transferase Yb2 subunit (GST Yb2); cytochrome P450 IIIAl (CYP3A1); glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide (GIP); alpha1-proteinase inhibitor (alpha1-AT); polyubiquitin; GABA transporter 3 (GAT-3); and plasma membrane Ca2+-transporting ATPase (brain isoform 2) (PMCA2). 目的 探讨临床拟诊机化性肺炎的诊断与治疗.方法 回顾性分析31例临床拟诊为机化性肺炎患者的临床资料、影像资料和治疗方法.结果 31例经抗生素治疗无效的患者,通过支气管镜肺活检病理或经皮肺穿刺病理除外结核、真菌、化脓性炎、肺癌而拟诊机化性肺炎24例,无病理检查结果而经激素治疗有效拟诊7例.21例患者具有典型机化性肺炎CT表现,所有病例均经短期(6~14d)激素治疗后影像学结果明显改善.随访6~25个月,复发6例,均发生在激素减量过快或停药患者中.结论 临床上经抗生素治疗无效、结合临床影像学特点、病理检查除外其他疾病是拟诊机化性肺炎的重要指标;对于无病理检查患者短期激素治疗有效有助于诊断.过早激素减量容易导致复发. 相似文献

In this study, the adsorption mechanisms of dodecylamine hydrochloride(DDAHC), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS), and their mixed anionic/cationic collectors at ten different molar ratios on a muscovite (Mcv) surface in neutral aqueous solution were assessed by molecular dynamics simulations (MDS). According to the snapshot, interaction energy, radial distribution function (RDF), and density profile between the Mcv surface and collector molecules, the individual DDAHC collector was an effective collector for the flotation of Mcv. The molar ratio of anionic/cationic collectors was determined to be an essential factor in the flotation recovery of Mcv. The DDAHC collector was involved in the adsorption of the mixed anionic/cationic collectors on the Mcv (001) surface, whereas SDS and SDBS collectors were co-adsorbed with DDAHC. The mixed cationic/anionic collector showed the best adsorption on the Mcv surface in a molar ratio of 2. Additionally, SDBS, which has one more benzene ring than SDS, was more likely to form spherical micelles with DDAHC, thus resulting in better adsorption on the Mcv surface. The results of micro-flotation experiments indicated that the DDAHC collector could improve the flotation recovery of Mcv in neutral aqueous solution, which was in agreement with MDS-derived findings. In conclusion, DDAHC alone is the optimum collector for Mcv flotation under the neutral aqueous conditions, while the mixture of DDAHC and SDBS collectors (molar ratio = 2:1) exhibits the similar flotation performance. 相似文献

How Many Imputations are Really Needed? Some Practical Clarifications of Multiple Imputation Theory 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Multiple imputation (MI) and full information maximum likelihood (FIML) are the two most common approaches to missing data
analysis. In theory, MI and FIML are equivalent when identical models are tested using the same variables, and when m, the number of imputations performed with MI, approaches infinity. However, it is important to know how many imputations
are necessary before MI and FIML are sufficiently equivalent in ways that are important to prevention scientists. MI theory
suggests that small values of m, even on the order of three to five imputations, yield excellent results. Previous guidelines for sufficient m are based on relative efficiency, which involves the fraction of missing information (γ) for the parameter being estimated, and m. In the present study, we used a Monte Carlo simulation to test MI models across several scenarios in which γ and m were varied. Standard errors and p-values for the regression coefficient of interest varied as a function of m, but not at the same rate as relative efficiency. Most importantly, statistical power for small effect sizes diminished as
m became smaller, and the rate of this power falloff was much greater than predicted by changes in relative efficiency. Based
our findings, we recommend that researchers using MI should perform many more imputations than previously considered sufficient.
These recommendations are based on γ, and take into consideration one’s tolerance for a preventable power falloff (compared to FIML) due to using too few imputations. 相似文献
