Background
Eruptive syringomas is a rare variant of syringoma, which is a benign adenoma differentiated from the terminal ducts of the eccrine glands. Nowadays, it's widely valued because of obvious skin lesions, large scope of influence, and high misdiagnosis rate.Objectives
We aim to explore the clinical features of eruptive syringomas and the current research progress.Materials and Methods
We firstly summarized the clinical features of 90 cases of eruptive syringomas. Then, the chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between the onset site of eruptive syringomas and age, as well as gender. Finally, we briefly reviewed the previous literature.Results
During 12 years, 90 cases of eruptive syringomas were diagnosed in our hospital, including 28 males (31.1%) and 62 females (68.9%). The average diagnosed age was 28.8. Patients from 20 to 40 years old is 63 (70%), which is the most. 60 (66.7%) patients had the course for more than 1 year. Among onset sites, the neck, chest, and abdomen were in the top three. The chi-square test showed that there were no significant differences in the onset sites of patients aged ≤ 20 and >20 years old (p-value = 0.181), as well as male and female (p-value = 0.363).Conclusion
We found that more female than male was affected, and the most common onset sites were the neck, chest, and abdomen. Neither age nor gender was significantly associated with onset site distribution. Our study provides some data support for the research of eruptive syringomas. 相似文献992.

Background
Compound glycyrrhizin has achieved outstanding results in the treatment of various skin diseases. However, the use of mesotherapy to inject compound glycyrrhizin into the skin to treat acne is still understudied.Aims
This paper aims to explore the effects of mesotherapy introduction of compound glycyrrhizin injection on the acne.Materials & Methods
A total of 108 patients were included in this study and divided into the control group (n = 54) and the observation group (n = 54). The control group was treated with topical clindamycin gel, while the study group was treated with topical clindamycin gel + mesotherapy and compound glycyrrhizin injection. Skin transepidermal water loss (TEWL), cuticle water content, acne severity, adverse reactions, and inflammatory reactions were documented before and after treatment in the two groups.Results
The usage of mesotherapy to inject compound glycyrrhizin into the skin of acne patients more effectively treat acne than traditional clindamycin gel. The mesotherapy compound glycyrrhizin can more effectively protect the skin barrier of patients and reduce the loss of skin moisture. Compared with the traditional clindamycin gel, the combination of mesotherapy and compound glycyrrhizin more effectively inhibit the inflammatory reaction in acne patients and reduce skin damage in acne patients.Discussion/Conclusion

Objective
This study aims to compare the plasma metabolic profiles of patients with herpes labialis with healthy controls and identify the biomarkers of herpes labialis.Subjects and Methods
We collected 18 patients with herpes labialis and 20 healthy individuals. Plasma samples from both groups were analyzed using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS).Results
According to the principal component analysis (PCA) and partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA), we found that metabolic profiles had changed in patients with herpes labialis compared to the controls. By further selecting the different metabolites according to the variable importance in the projection (VIP) and p valve of t-tests, we found that acetic acid, pyroglutamic acid, alanine, ethanedioic acid, cyclohexaneacetic acid, pyruvic acid, d-mannose, phosphoric acid, l-amphetamine, and citric acid were decreased in patients with herpes labialis, while sedoheptulose and ethylamine were increased. Pathway analysis showed that herpes labialis may affect the amino acid and energy metabolism.Conclusions
Our findings may contribute to elucidating the metabolic basis of herpes labialis and provide a new perspective for further research on the “Shang-Huo” state in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). 相似文献994.

Objective
Chest compressions performed by some medical workers are of poor quality, which are too few and shallow with incomplete release. This study was designed to compare the effects of these clinical quality chest compressions with standard manual chest compressions in a porcine model of cardiac arrest.Methods
Ventricular fibrillation was induced in 18 pigs by programed electrical stimulation. Then, 40 mg methylene blue was injected into right atrium after 4 minutes of untreated ventricular fibrillation (VF), followed by cardiopulmonary resuscitation for 9 minutes. Defibrillation was attempted at 13 minutes of cardiac arrest. Animals of no restoration of spontaneous circulation after 4 times of defibrillations were announced dead and dissected immediately to observe the cerebral perfusion with methylene blue coloration. Resuscitated animals were executed to remove the tissues of pallium, cardiac muscle, kidney, and liver for histopathology after evaluating a porcine Cerebral Performance Category score at 24 hours after cardiac arrest. All animals were randomized to the following 2 groups: (1) standard manual chest compressions group (n = 9)—chest compression rates were kept at 100 ± 5 cpm and compression depth at 50 ± 1 mm with complete release by Heartstart MRx Monitor; (2) clinical quality chest compressions group (n = 9)—chest compression rates were kept at 80 ± 5 cpm and compression depth at 37 ± 1 mm with incomplete release.Results
Compared with clinical quality chest compressions, standard manual chest compressions produced greater restoration of spontaneous circulation, neurologically normal 24-hour survival, and histopathologic findings.Conclusions

Hypertension and its complications represent leading causes of morbidity and mortality. Although the cause of hypertension is unknown in most patients, genetic factors are recognized as contributing significantly to an individual’s lifetime risk of developing the condition. Here, we investigated the role of the G protein regulator phosducin (Pdc) in hypertension. Mice with a targeted deletion of the gene encoding Pdc (Pdc–/– mice) had increased blood pressure despite normal cardiac function and vascular reactivity, and displayed elevated catecholamine turnover in the peripheral sympathetic system. Isolated postganglionic sympathetic neurons from Pdc–/– mice showed prolonged action potential firing after stimulation with acetylcholine and increased firing frequencies during membrane depolarization. Furthermore, Pdc–/– mice displayed exaggerated increases in blood pressure in response to post-operative stress. Candidate gene–based association studies in 2 different human populations revealed several SNPs in the PDC gene to be associated with stress-dependent blood pressure phenotypes. Individuals homozygous for the G allele of an intronic PDC SNP (rs12402521) had 12–15 mmHg higher blood pressure than those carrying the A allele. These findings demonstrate that PDC is an important modulator of sympathetic activity and blood pressure and may thus represent a promising target for treatment of stress-dependent hypertension. 相似文献
