Multiple interactions between the alpha<Subscript>2C</Subscript>- and beta<Subscript>1</Subscript>-adrenergic receptors influence heart failure survival

Background  

Persistent stimulation of cardiac β₁-adrenergic receptors by endogenous norepinephrine promotes heart failure progression. Polymorphisms of this gene are known to alter receptor function or expression, as are polymorphisms of the α_2C-adrenergic receptor, which regulates norepinephrine release from cardiac presynaptic nerves. The purpose of this study was to investigate possible synergistic effects of polymorphisms of these two intronless genes (ADRB1 and ADRA2C, respectively) on the risk of death/transplant in heart failure patients.     

Occupational health legislation and practices related to seafarers on passenger ships focused on communicable diseases: results from a European cross-sectional study (EU SHIPSAN PROJECT)

Background  

Seafarers play an important role in the transmission of communicable diseases. The aim of the present study is to draw information and identify possible gaps on occupational health practices related to seafarers sailing on ships within the European Union Member States (EU MS) with focus on communicable diseases.     

Autologous suction blister grafting for chronic leg ulcers

Background Non‐healing leg ulcers represent a treatment problem. Objective Investigate grafting of autologous suction blister roofs as treatment. Methods Twenty‐nine chronic, non‐healing leg ulcers of various aetiologies in 18 inpatients were treated by autologous epidermal grafting using the roofs of suction blisters. Results 55% of ulcers completely healed 2 to 6 weeks after grafting. A 50–90% reduction in size was documented in 34% and no change was observed in 11% of ulcers. Twelve weeks after grafting, 89% of ulcers were healed completely. In most ulcers, we observed a stimulation of reepithelialization from the wound edge (‘edge effect’) and an accelerated formation of healthy granulation tissue. During a follow‐up period of 12 months, 90% of the ulcers remained healed. Conclusion Grafting of autologous suction blister roofs is an effective treatment option for non‐healing leg ulcers. The advantages of the method are its lack of pain, low costs and immediate availability.

1背景与资料上世纪80和90年代,美国的医院和医生组织投入大量时间和资源进行机构重组,以实现提高组织效率、改善财务绩效水平、机构长期生存、承担社区责任和救治病人的目的。而机构重组的主要趋势是建立“有组织的服务提供体系”,包括建立横向的医院联合体,横向的医生联合体,以及纵向的医院与医生联合体等。到目前为止,在美国开展的大量研究对上述机构重组效果的认识莫衷一是。     

高效液相色谱法同时测定五加中剌五加苷B、苷E的含量

目的测定甘肃产五加中剌五加苷B、苷E的含量。方法高效液相色谱法,ODSKromasal柱。水乙晴(955)为流动相,检测波长222nm,柱温度25℃。结果本文可同时测定剌五加苷B、苷E的含量。剌五加苷B、苷E分别在0.064～0.320μg/ml;0.074～0.370μg/ml范围内峰面积与浓度呈线性关系,平均回收率分别为102.5%,RSD=4.2%,95.5%,RSD=4.6%。结论剌五加苷B、苷E在红毛五加中含量最高;茎皮中含量最高;剌五加苷E的含量高于苷B。
