The Combined Use of Medium- and Short-Chain Fatty Acids Improves the Pregnancy Outcomes of Sows by Enhancing Ovarian Steroidogenesis and Endometrial Receptivity

Fatty acids play important roles in maintaining ovarian steroidogenesis and endometrial receptivity. Porcine primary ovarian granulosa cells (PGCs) and endometrial epithelial cells (PEECs) were treated with or without medium- and short-chain fatty acids (MSFAs) for 24 h. The mRNA abundance of genes was detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR. The hormone levels in the PGCs supernatant and the rate of adhesion of porcine trophoblast cells (pTrs) to PEECs were measured. Sows were fed diets with or without MSFAs supplementation during early gestation. The fecal and vaginal microbiomes were identified using 16S sequencing. Reproductive performance was recorded at parturition. MSFAs increased the mRNA abundance of genes involved in steroidogenesis, luteinization in PGCs and endometrial receptivity in PEECs (p < 0.05). The estrogen level in the PGC supernatant and the rate of adhesion increased (p < 0.05). Dietary supplementation with MSFAs increased serum estrogen levels and the total number of live piglets per litter (p < 0.01). Moreover, MSFAs reduced the fecal Trueperella abundance and vaginal Escherichia-Shigella and Clostridium_sensu_stricto_1 abundance. These data revealed that MSFAs improved pregnancy outcomes in sows by enhancing ovarian steroidogenesis and endometrial receptivity while limiting the abundance of several intestinal and vaginal pathogens at early stages of pregnancy.     

Prenatal diagnosis and molecular cytogenetic characterization of an inherited microdeletion of 18q12.3 encompassing SETBP1

The 18q12.3 region contains the SET binding protein 1 (SETBP1) gene. SETBP1 mutations or deletions are associated with Schinzel–Giedion syndrome or intellectual developmental disorder, autosomal dominant 29. We report the prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling of a patient with a maternally inherited 18q12.3 microdeletion. In this family, the mother and son carried the same microdeletion. Chromosomal microdeletions and microduplications are difficult to detect using conventional cytogenetics, whereas the combination of prenatal ultrasound, karyotype analysis, chromosomal microarray analysis, and genetic counseling is helpful for the prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal microdeletions/microduplications.     

Deep learning-based classification of the anterior chamber angle in glaucoma gonioscopy

In the proposed network, the features were first extracted from the gonioscopically obtained anterior segment photographs using the densely-connected high-resolution network. Then the useful information is further strengthened using the hybrid attention module to improve the classification accuracy. Between October 30, 2020, and January 30, 2021, a total of 146 participants underwent glaucoma screening. One thousand seven hundred eighty original images of the ACA were obtained with the gonioscope and slit lamp microscope. After data augmentation, 4457 images are used for the training and validation of the HahrNet, and 497 images are used to evaluate our algorithm. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed HahrNet exhibits a good performance of 96.2% accuracy, 99.0% specificity, 96.4% sensitivity, and 0.996 area under the curve (AUC) in classifying the ACA test dataset. Compared with several deep learning-based classification methods and nine human readers of different levels, the HahrNet achieves better or more competitive performance in terms of accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity. Indeed, the proposed ACA classification method will provide an automatic and accurate technology for the grading of glaucoma.

针刺联合吸入法对阿尔兹海默病模型小鼠的干预作用

目的:观察针刺联合吸入法对阿尔兹海默病模型小鼠的干预作用。方法:选取清洁级SD小鼠60只,随机分为空白组、模型组、吸入组、针刺组、针刺+吸入组,每组12只。空白组常规饲养,充足食水,其余各组分别腹腔注射东莨菪碱3 mg·kg-1,日1次,连续14 d。造模成功后,从第15天开始,吸入组吸入迷迭香精油,针刺组针刺百会、肾俞、血海等穴位,针刺+吸入组给予吸入组和针刺组的治疗方法,连续14 d,末次给药后1 h,旷场实验测试各组小鼠的跨越格数和潜伏期。结果:与模型组比较,吸入组、针刺组第28天旷场实验跨越格数和潜伏期差异有统计学意义(P0.05),针刺+吸入组治疗后第17天、第21天、第28天跨越格数及潜伏期差异有统计学意义(P0.05或P0.01)。结论:迷迭香精油联合针刺对阿尔茨海默病小鼠有一定的改善作用。     

HPLC法分析补肺活血胶囊中12种指标成分

目的 建立超高效液相色谱法（UHPLC）同时测定补肺活血胶囊（Bufei Huoxue Capsules,BHC）中12种指标成分没食子酸、氧化芍药苷、芍药内酯苷、补骨脂苷、芍药苷、异补骨脂苷、毛蕊异黄酮苷、芒柄花苷、毛蕊异黄酮、补骨脂素、异补骨脂素、苯甲酰芍药苷的含量。方法 采用Acquity UPLC BEH C18色谱柱（100 mm×2.1 mm,1.7μm）;流动相为乙腈-0.1%甲酸水溶液,梯度洗脱;体积流量0.4 mL/min,柱温35℃,进样量4μL,检测波长246 nm。结果 BHC中12种指标成分在18min内色谱峰分离良好,没食子酸、氧化芍药苷、芍药内酯苷、补骨脂苷、芍药苷、异补骨脂苷、毛蕊异黄酮苷、芒柄花苷、毛蕊异黄酮、补骨脂素、异补骨脂素和苯甲酰芍药苷分别在0.38～195.20(r=0.999 9)、0.17～21.44(r=0.999 6)、0.85～433.80(r=0.999 9)、0.68～345.60(r=0.999 9)、1.11～566.60(r=0.999 8)、0.47～241.40(r=0.999 9)、0.08～39.36(r=0.99...     

中医证候诊断标准的循证评价
