Abstract We present an exact Fourier-based algorithm for rebinning 3D data generated by a stationary dual-panel PET system to obtain direct slices for subsequent slice-by-slice reconstruction. The algorithm is computationally efficient and can greatly reduce the problem dimensionality and computation complexity of the reconstruction task. By conducting computer simulation studies in which the effects of scatter, randoms, detector response functions and attenuation correction are not considered, we demonstrate that direct slices generated by the proposed algorithm are quantitatively accurate and exhibit substantially better noise characteristics than the original direct slices. However, image artefacts, occurring at axial intensity discontinuities and in regions close to the axial axis, can be observed. With preliminary supporting evidence, we stipulate that these artefacts are due to errors in discrete implementations of partial derivatives of the 3D data. Although general weightings can be used in the proposed rebinning algorithm, in this work we only study the use of uniform weightings and the resulting direct slices exhibit non-uniform noise distributions, with the central slices being less noisy. In future studies, by using general weightings to reduce contributions of the data that are acquired at large oblique angles, we expect that more uniform noise distributions can be achieved, and axial blurring due to parallax errors can be reduced, at the cost of overall image variance.  相似文献

目的 探讨乳腺富糖原透明细胞癌临床病理特点及鉴别诊断要点。方法 对2例乳腺富糖原透明细胞癌进行临床资料及光镜和免疫组化标记观察。结果 组织学特点:癌细胞为多边形或柱状,胞界清楚,胞质透明,呈实性巢状、片状排列,可有乳头形成。表现为导管内癌和浸润性癌结构。免疫组化染色显示:癌细胞呈上皮性免疫表型,CK(AE1)、CEA强阳性,不表达S-100蛋白、肌动蛋白。PAS染色阳性。结论 富含糖原透明细胞癌是上皮性特殊类型乳腺癌,其诊断主要依靠组织病理学和免疫组化标记。  相似文献

目的 进行严重急性呼吸综合征 (SARS)的临床研究。方法 对 2 0 0 4年 4月 2 2日在地坛医院收治的 7例确诊SARS患者进行回顾性分析。结果  7例确诊SARS患者 ,男性 2例、女性 5例 ,年龄 2 0~ 4 9岁 ,平均年龄为 (35 3± 11 3)岁。临床症状主要表现为发热、咳嗽、不同程度的呼吸困难、全身不适、恶心、呕吐等 ,肺部可闻及湿音 ,可伴有肺外损伤。临床治疗中采用综合治疗原则 ,包括氧疗 ;小剂量、短期应用甲泼尼龙 ,剂量为每天 1~ 2mg kg;及时应用呼吸机 ;必要的心理干预及支持治疗等 ,患者均好转。结论 合理应用糖皮质激素 ,及时使用呼吸机是SARS治疗的关键。  相似文献

采用等离子体表面接枝改性技术在涤纶 (聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯 ,PET)材料表面接枝不同分子量的聚乙二醇 (PEG) ,从表面能与界面自由能的角度分析了血浆蛋白 (纤维蛋白原和白蛋白 )在材料表面的竞争吸附关系 ,结果表明接枝了 PEG长链分子的 PET材料具有优先吸附白蛋白的性质 ,其中接枝 PEG6 0 0 0的 PET优先吸附倾向最明显。预接触白蛋白和纤维蛋白原的 PET材料表面的血小板黏附实验表明 :吸附白蛋白的表面能够显著抑制血小板的黏附和聚集 ,表现出好的血液相容性 ,而吸附了纤维蛋白原的材料表面具有降低血液相容性的性质。  相似文献

In a large collaborative screening project, 370 men with idiopathic azoospermia or severe oligozoospermia were analysed for deletions of 76 DNA loci in Yq11. In 12 individuals, we observed de novo microdeletions involving several DNA loci, while an additional patient had an inherited deletion. They were mapped to three different subregions in Yq11. One subregion coincides to the AZF region defined recently in distal Yq11. The second and third subregion were mapped proximal to it, in proximal and middle Yq11, respectively. The different deletions observed were not overlapping but the extension of the deleted Y DNA in each subregion was similar in each patient analysed. In testis tissue sections, disruption of spermatogenesis was shown to be at the same phase when the microdeletion occurred in the same Yq11 subregion but at a different phase when the microdeletion occurred in a different Yq11 subregion. Therefore, we propose the presence of not one but three spermatogenesis loci in Yq11 and that each locus is active during a different phase of male germ cell development. As the most severe phenotype after deletion of each locus is azoospermia, we designated them as: AZFa, AZFb and AZFc. Their probable phase of function in human spermatogenesis and candidate genes involved will be discussed.   相似文献

Low grade mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas commonly arise from a background of chronic inflammatory lesions and can transform into high grade tumors at a late stage. Because chronic inflammation is closely associated with genetic instability, which is one of the mechanisms leading to activation of oncogenes and inactivation of tumor suppressor genes, it is possible that genetic instability plays an important role in MALT lymphomagenesis. In this study, we have examined the frequency of replication error (RER+) phenotype, a newly defined manifestation of genetic instability, and its relationship to p53 mutations in 40 MALT lymphomas (16 high grade and 24 low grade). RER+ phenotype was detected in 21/40 (52.5%) MALT lymphomas (12/24, 50% in low grade; 9/16, 56.2% in high grade). Five of seven reactive lymphoid infiltrates adjacent to tumors also showed one microsatellite alteration, four of which were identified in the corresponding lymphoma lesions in the same patient. In five RER+ high grade lymphomas with low grade lesions, homogeneous and heterogeneous microsatellite alterations were observed between the two components. The same 40 cases were investigated for p53 gene mutations at exons 5 to 8 by PCR-SSCP and direct sequencing. p53 point mutations were found in 11 (27.5%) of the 40 cases. These mutations were statistically related to RER+ phenotype (P < 0.05). Our results demonstrate that the RER+ phenotype is a common genetic feature of MALT lymphomas. Genetic instability occurs throughout the spectrum of the lymphoma development and may be related to the accumulation of genetic aberrations such as p53 mutations. The observation of identical microsatellite alterations between the adjacent lymphoid infiltrates and their corresponding lymphomas provides genetic evidence for evolutionary link of the two lesions. The homogeneous and heterogeneous microsatellite alterations observed between low and high grade components indicate their clonal lineage and genetic diversity.  相似文献

Four-dimensional (4D) PET/CT imaging of the thorax   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15  
We have reported in our previous studies on the methodology, and feasibility of 4D-PET (Gated PET) acquisition, to reduce respiratory motion artifact in PET imaging of the thorax. In this study, we expand our investigation to address the problem of respiration motion in PET/CT imaging. The respiratory motion of four lung cancer patients were monitored by tracking external markers placed on the thorax. A 4D-CT acquisition was performed using a "step-and-shoot" technique, in which computed tomography (CT) projection data were acquired over a complete respiratory cycle at each couch position. The period of each CT acquisition segment was time stamped with an "x-ray ON" signal, which was recorded by the tracking system. 4D-CT data were then sorted into 10 groups, according to their corresponding phase of the breathing cycle. 4D-PET data were acquired in the gated mode, where each breathing cycle was divided into ten 0.5 s bins. For both CT and PET acquisitions, patients received audio prompting to regularize breathing. The 4D-CT and 4D-PET data were then correlated according to respiratory phase. The effect of 4D acquisition on improving the co-registration of PET and CT images, reducing motion smearing, and consequently increase the quantitation of the SUV, were investigated. Also, quantitation of the tumor motions in PET, and CT, were studied and compared. 4D-PET with matching phase 4D-CTAC showed an improved accuracy in PET-CT image co-registration of up to 41%, compared to measurements from 4D-PET with clinical-CTAC. Gating PET data in correlation with respiratory motion reduced motion-induced smearing, thereby decreasing the observed tumor volume, by as much as 43%. 4D-PET lesions volumes showed a maximum deviation of 19% between clinical CT and phase- matched 4D-CT attenuation corrected PET images. In CT, 4D acquisition resulted in increasing the tumor volume in two patients by up to 79%, and decreasing it in the other two by up to 35%. Consequently, these corrections have yielded an increase in the measured SUV by up to 16% over the clinical measured SUV, and 36% over SUV's measured in 4D-PET with clinical-CT Attenuation Correction (CTAC) SUV's. Quantitation of the maximum tumor motion amplitude, using 4D-PET and 4D-CT, showed up to 30% discrepancy between the two modalities. We have shown that 4D PET/CT is clinically a feasible method, to correct for respiratory motion artifacts in PET/CT imaging of the thorax. 4D PET/CT acquisition can reduce smearing, improve the accuracy in PET-CT co-registration, and increase the measured SUV. This should result in an improved tumor assessment for patients with lung malignancies.  相似文献

目的考察中小学教师自我和谐、心理控制源、应付方式的状况及其关系。方法使用自我和谐量表、内控性、有势力的他人及机遇量表、应付方式问卷对200名中小学教师进行调查。结果①教师整体上倾向内控,使用最多的应付方式是解决问题,最少的是自责;②任教地点、职务、职称、学历不同的教师自我和谐、应付方式有显著差异,年龄、教龄、任班主任年限、自评心理健康水平、生活压力、工作满意度与心理控制源、应付方式、自我和谐的不同维度相关显著;③机遇和幻想对自我和谐有正向预测作用,内控、解决问题、求助对自我和谐有负向预测作用。结论自我和谐可以作为衡量心理健康水平的一个标志,中小学教师心理控制源与应付方式对自我和谐有重要影响。  相似文献

Background  

Previous studies suggested that genetic polymorphisms in the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene had been implicated in the susceptibility to some tumors and inflammatory diseases. EGFR has been recently implicated in vascular pathophysiological processes associated with excessive remodeling and atherosclerosis. Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) is a clinical manifestation of preceding atherosclerosis. Our purpose was to investigate the association of the EGFR polymorphism with the risk of ACS. In this context, we analyzed the HER-1 R497K and EGFR intron 1 (CA)n repeat polymorphisms in 191 patients with ACS and 210 age- and sex-matched controls in a Chinese population, using a polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) strategy and direct sequencing.  相似文献
