Comparison of the effects of three different combinations of general anesthetics on the electroretinogram of dogs

The objective of this study is to compare the effects of three different anesthetic combinations on the electroretinogram in the same animals under similar laboratory conditions. Thiopental–isoflurane (TI), medetomidine–ketamine (MK), and xylazine–ketamine (XK) were used on each of 12 healthy miniature schnauzer dogs (MS) with a period of at least 3 weeks in between subsequent anesthesia protocols, using the Dog Standard Protocol. The scotopic ERGs consisted of scotopic low stimulus strength (S) responses designated S1, S2, S3, S4, and S5, at 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 min after dark adaptation, respectively, and scotopic standard stimulus strength (S-ST) responses. The photopic ERGs consisted of a photopic single flash (P) response and 31 Hz flicker (P-FL) responses. For S-ST (2.5 cd s/m²), the amplitude of the a-wave using TI was significantly lower than that using MK (adjusted P = 0.05) and XK (adjusted P = 0.03), and the implicit time of the a-wave was significantly shorter than that using MK (adjusted P = 0.04). For P (2.5 cd s/m²), the amplitude of the b-wave using XK was significantly higher than that using MK (adjusted P = 0.01). The implicit times of the b-wave using TI was significantly longer and shorter than that of MK for S1, S2 and P-FL and for S4 and S-ST, respectively, and than that of XK for S2 and P-FL and for S5 and S-ST, respectively. The results of the present study showed that TI affected both the amplitude and the implicit time of the a-wave for S-ST and the implicit time of the b-wave relatively more so than was the case when using XK or MK. Therefore, it appears that either XK or MK could be advantageous to use rather than TI for clinical studies.

术中即时扩张皮肤面积增加与压力和时间的量效关系

目的探讨术中即时扩张皮肤面积增加与压力、时间的量效关系。方法用6头小型猪，压力参数分别为15、20、25kPa，时间参数为60、90min，配对组成6个实验组，1个对照组，36个实验部位。在每只猪背部皮下均匀埋置100ml圆形扩张器6个，术中即时扩张皮肤，观察扩张皮肤各径线移位特点，计算面积变化。结果扩张区周边皮肤向中心蠕动和扩张器表面皮肤伸展同时存在。扩张皮肤面积扩大在一定范围内与压力、时间增加成正比，20kPa、60min组合增幅最大，此后增幅明显减少，并逐渐引发皮肤病理性改变。结论皮肤可在一定范围内通过术中即时扩张获得面积有效增加。

Development and optimization of an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the determination of Hexoestrol

An indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of hexoestrol (HES) was developed, optimized and validated for the analysis of HES in pork. Many parameters, such as the volume ratio of solution A and solution B, colour developing time, pH value, incubation time, the volume ratio of the standard solution and diluted antiserum, blocking solution, blocking condition, coating solution and coating condition were studied and optimized in the paper. The regression equation of the final inhibition curve is y = - 0.3345x + 1.4955, R²=0.9913. The linear range is 0.1-8.1 ng/ml, and the IC₅₀ is 0.671 ng/ml. The specificity of the assay was evaluated by the cross-reactivity rates of six compounds, of which two structurally related compounds had a relatively higher cross-reactivity rate of 25% and 6%. HES was added into a pork sample at 5 ng/g level and then the sample was extracted. The recovery is between 49.6% and 79.2%, and the variation coefficient is 0.164.     

鼻内镜联合显微镜经鼻腔蝶窦及中颅窝手术

目的探讨鼻内镜下经鼻腔直接入路行蝶窦及中颅窝手术的方法. 方法鼻内镜下经较宽大一侧鼻腔将中鼻甲向外推移,鼻腔扩张器扩大视野,直达并开放蝶窦前壁, 鼻内镜与显微镜联合切除病变. 结果 10例孤立性蝶窦炎术后症状消失.6例蝶窦囊肿、脑膜瘤均一次手术切除.32例垂体腺瘤17例全切除,12例次全切除,3例大部分切除,术后补充X刀治疗.48例术后随访6个月～3.5年,平均2.5年,蝶窦囊肿、蝶窦炎、脑膜瘤无复发,3例垂体腺瘤复发,无颅内感染并发症,无鼻腔粘连、鼻出血等鼻腔并发症. 结论鼻内镜联合显微镜经鼻腔蝶窦及中颅窝手术损伤小、出血少、手术时间短、效果好.

TNF-α和低氧对胰腺癌细胞表达VEGF-A、C的调节

目的:探讨细胞活素肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、SNAP(S-Nitroso-Nacetyl-penicillamine)对胰腺癌细胞产生血管内皮生长因子A、C(VEGF-A、C)的调节.方法:用Northern杂交和Western杂交法分析6种人胰腺癌细胞株中VEGF-A、C基因和蛋白的表达;以TNF-α或SNAP刺激其中两个细胞株后用逆转录-聚合酶链式反应技术(RT-PCR)分析其VEGF-A、C基因的表达.结果:Northern杂交法显示这6种胰腺癌细胞株均有4.1kb VEGF-A基因和2.4kb VEGF-C基因的表达;Western杂交法显示它们均有分子量为43kD的VEGF-A蛋白质和分子量为55kD的VEGF-C蛋白质的表达.RT-PCR分析法显示:TNF-α使细胞株COLO-357产生VEGF-A、VEGF-C mRNA分别减少约1～2.5倍、1～2倍,使细胞株CAPAN-1产生VEGF-A、VEGF-C mRNA分别减少约1倍、1.6～2.5倍;而SNAP刺激细胞株COLO-357产生VEGF-A mRNA增加约5倍,刺激细胞株CAPAN-1产生VEGF-A mRNA增加约4倍,但对这两种细胞株产生VEGF-C mRNA均无明显刺激作用.结论:细胞活素TNF-α和低氧通过调节血管内皮生长因子A、C的表达而影响胰腺癌细胞的生物学特性,抑制癌细胞的增殖,促进其凋亡、死亡或进展、恶化.
