In an attempt to define the fibroblastic components of fibrous papular lesions of oral mucosa. 21 cases representing these lesions were selected for study. Paraffin or frozen sections of the lesions were stained, using the immunoperoxidase technique, with antibodies to: alpha-l-antitrypsin. alpha-l-antichymotrypsin. lysozyme. fibro-nectin. act in. myosin, and for Clq binding Three of these cases were biochemically analyzed for collagen Types 1. III. and V. This study demonstrated the presence of cytochemical markers in fibrous papules that were similar to those observed for the compartment of circumvascular fibroblasts in control normal mucosa. Analysis of the collagens present indicated that in addition to histologic similarities, the gene products of these extracellular matrices were similar to those reported for angiofibromas and Shagreen patches in tuberous sclerosis. The cells in these lesions appear to be distinct from myofibroblasts and the high affinity complement binding fibroblasts characterized by Bordin et al. (1). 相似文献

Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of the patient with acute cervical injury is important because of the potential prognostic significance of the appearance of the spinal cord at the time of injury. However, cervical traction may involve equipment incompatible with the magnetic environment, and transferring the patient to the imaging table may make it difficult to maintain traction. Background
Depressive disorder is one of the most common disorders, and is highly prevalent in chronically ill patients. The presence of comorbid depression has a negative influence on quality of life, health care costs, self-care, morbidity, and mortality. Early diagnosis and well-organized treatment of depression has a positive influence on these aspects. Earlier research in the USA has reported good results with regard to the treatment of depression with a collaborative care approach and an antidepressant algorithm. Alzheimer disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by neuropathological hallmarks including deposits of the beta-amyloid peptide (AssP). Studies have shown that immunization with Abeta42 peptide reduces both the spatial memory impairments and Alzheimer disease-like neuropathologic changes in Alzheimer disease transgenic mice, but can cause side effect of a cell-mediated autoimmune meningoencephalitis. Recently, some studies showed that DNA vaccination could be used to generate an antibody response to Abeta without the adverse cell-mediated immune effect. In the current study, we generate four DNA vaccine plasmlds (pV-GE1, pV-GE2, pV-GE3, and pV-GE4) against Alzheimer disease by separately fusing Abeta epitope sequences (coding for EFGH, DAEFGH, EFGH + EFGH, and EFGH + DAEFGH) with IgG heavy chain coding region of mouse. Meanwhile, the full-length gene Abeta encoding plasmid (pV-Abeta), empty vector (pVAX) and synthetic AssP were also included as control. The sera of BALB/c mice immunized via intramuscular with plasmids and peptide were tested by indirect ELISA for auto-AssP immunoreactivity. The results showed that all the DNA vaccine plasmids induced AssP-specific antibodies; moreover pV-GE2 and pV-Abeta constructs elicited higher antibody titers than other constructs (P〈0.05). To further enhance the immune response, GM-CSF encoding plasmid (pGM-CSF) and purified BCG-DNA were used as molecular adjuvants. Angiogenic, that is, newly formed, blood vessels play an important role in tumor growth and metastasis and are a potential target for tumor treatment. In previous studies, the αvβ3 integrin, which is strongly expressed in angiogenic vessels, has been used as a target for Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD)-functionalized nanoparticulate contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging-based visualization of angiogenesis. In the present study, the target-to-background ratio was increased by diminishing the nonspecific contrast enhancement originating from contrast material present in the blood pool. This was accomplished by the use of a so-called avidin chase, which allowed rapid clearance of non-bound paramagnetic RGD-biotin-liposomes from the blood circulation. C57BL/6 mice, bearing a B16F10 mouse melanoma, received RGD-functionalized or untargeted biotin-liposomes, which was followed by avidin infusion or no infusion. Precontrast, postcontrast, and postavidin T1-weighted magnetic resonance images were acquired at 6.3 T. Postcontrast images showed similar percentages of contrast-enhanced pixels in the tumors of mice that received RGD-biotin-liposomes and biotin-liposomes. Post avidin infusion this percentage rapidly decreased to precontrast levels for biotin-liposomes, whereas a significant amount of contrast-enhanced pixels remained present for RGD-biotin-liposomes. These results showed that besides target-associated contrast agent, the circulating contrast agent contributed significantly to the contrast enhancement as well. Ex vivo fluorescence microscopy confirmed association of the RGD-biotin-liposomes to tumor endothelial cells both with and without avidin infusion, whereas biotin-liposomes were predominantly found within the vessel lumen. The clearance methodology presented in this study successfully enhanced the specificity of molecular magnetic resonance imaging and opens exciting possibilities for studying detection limits and targeting kinetics of site-directed contrast agents in vivo. 相似文献

目的:建立了反向高效液相色谱法测定甲磺酸酚妥拉明的含量的方法。方法:采用Symmetry C18硅烷键和硅胶柱,甲醇-水-冰醋酸-三乙胺(10:10:1:0.1)作为流动相,检测波长为278nm,峰面积外标法测定。结果:平均回收率为100.2%(n=11),日内、日间差分别为0.7%和0.8%,在10-250μg范围内线性关系良好(r=0.9999),结论:该法简便、准确、结果满意。 相似文献
