Capacitance measurements provide a powerful means of probing the density of states. The technique has proved particularly successful in studying 2D electron systems, revealing a number of interesting many-body effects. Here, we use large-area high-quality graphene capacitors to study behavior of the density of states in this material in zero and high magnetic fields. Clear renormalization of the linear spectrum due to electron–electron interactions is observed in zero field. Quantizing fields lead to splitting of the spin- and valley-degenerate Landau levels into quartets separated by interaction-enhanced energy gaps. These many-body states exhibit negative compressibility but the compressibility returns to positive in ultrahigh B. The reentrant behavior is attributed to a competition between field-enhanced interactions and nascent fractional states.  相似文献

Two-dimensional nanosheets of semiconductor metal oxides are considered as promising for use in gas sensors, because of the combination of a large surface-area, high thermal stability and high sensitivity, due to the chemisorption mechanism of gas detection. In this work, 2D SnO2 nanosheets were synthesized via the oxidation of template SnS2 nanosheets obtained by surfactant-assisted one-pot solution synthesis. The 2D SnO2 was characterized using transmission and scanning electron microscopy (TEM, SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), low-temperature nitrogen adsorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and IR spectroscopy. The sensor characteristics were studied when detecting model gases CO and NH3 in dry (RH25 = 0%) and humid (RH25 = 30%) air. The combination of high specific-surface-area and increased surface acidity caused by the presence of residual sulfate anions provides a high 2D SnO2 sensor’s signal towards NH3 at a low temperature of 200 °C in dry air, but at the same time causes an inversion of the sensor response when detecting NH3 in a humid atmosphere. To reveal the processes responsible for sensor-response inversion, the interaction of 2D SnO2 with ammonia was investigated using diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) in dry and humid air at temperatures corresponding to the maximum “positive” and maximum “negative” sensor response.  相似文献

In this study, we analyzed the virome of 73 grape samples from two Dagestan ampelographic collections in Russia using high-throughput sequencing of total RNAs. Fourteen viruses and four viroids were identified, with one to eleven of them detected in each plant. For the first time in Russia, we identified grapevine leafroll-associated virus 7 and grapevine Kizil Sapak virus. A total of 206 genomes of viruses and viroids were obtained, and their phylogenetic analysis was carried out. The de novo assembly and tblastx analysis allowed us to obtain contigs of a novel (+) ssRNA genome of a plant virus from the genus Umbravirus, which was tentatively named grapevine umbra-like virus (GULV), as well as contigs of a novel dsDNA pararetrovirus from the genus Caulimovirus, which was tentatively named grapevine pararetrovirus (GPRV). Complete genomes of these viruses were obtained and used for Sequence Demarcation Tool (SDT) analysis and phylogeny studies. GULV and GPRV were detected in 16 and 33 germplasm samples from the Dagestan collections, respectively.  相似文献

Based on analyses of recent open-source data, this paper describes novel horizons in the diversity and taxonomy of beny-like viruses infecting hosts of the plant kingdom (Plantae or Archaeplastida). First, our data expand the known host range of the family Benyviridae to include red algae. Second, our phylogenetic analysis suggests that the evolution of this virus family may have involved cross-kingdom host change events and gene recombination/exchanges between distant taxa. Third, the identification of gene blocks encoding known movement proteins in beny-like RNA viruses infecting non-vascular plants confirms other evidence that plant virus genomic RNAs may have acquired movement proteins simultaneously or even prior to the evolutionary emergence of the plant vascular system. Fourth, novel data on plant virus diversity highlight that molecular evolution gave rise to numerous provisional species of land-plant-infecting viruses, which encode no known potential movement genetic systems.  相似文献

Antibodies to proteins of Mason-Pfizer monkey virus (M-PMV) were screened in sera from 61 healthy donors living in Guinea-Bissau (4 HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibody positive HIV = human immunodeficiency virus), from 19 healthy French European blood donors, and from 9 French patients with induced immunodeficiency prior to bone marrow transplantation (all HIV-1 antibody negative). In 30 (49%) of the African sera tested, antibodies reacting against p27 and/or p14 were detected by western blot. Some of these cases were confirmed to be positive using radioimmuno precipitation assay. Only one serum from a French blood donor was detected by western blot to be slightly positive against p27 M-PMV. Thirty-two sera screened for M-PMV were also tested for squirrel monkey retrovirus by western blot. In eight (25%) sera antibodies at least against p36 were detected. Among squirrel monkey retrovirus positive sera, three were also positive with p27 M-PMV. The other five were found to be M-PMV negative.  相似文献
