The uniportal-video assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) technique comprises operations which can be performed with skin incisions ranging from 2 to 8 cm and the manifest result of the introduction of the uniportal lobectomy had made possible to increase rapidly the number of published papers on this subject. Many of the large ensuing literature report incomplete historical information on uniportal VATS, and doubts exist about the indication of uniportal VATS for some thoracic oncologic pathologies. Known limitations have been overcome. On the other hand, the modern thoracic surgical team includes one surgeon, one assistant and a scrub nurse, and it is clear that the new generation of thoracic surgeons need to use the “less” used hand. The new technology which permitted the introduction of the uniportal VATS could influence the future need of thoracic surgeons worldwide.  相似文献

The aim of the review is to describe the different techniques and materials available to reconstruct the tarsoconjunctival layer of the eyelid; to analyze their indications, advantages, and disadvantages.

We searched the Cochrane, PubMed, and Ovid MEDLINE databases for English articles published between January 1990 and January 2017 using variations of the following key words: “posterior lamella,” “eyelid reconstruction,” “tarsoconjunctival,” “flap,” and “graft.” Two reviewers checked the abstracts of the articles found to eliminate redundant or not relevant articles. The references of the identified articles were screened manually to include relevant works not found through the initial search.

The search identified 174 articles. Only a few articles with a therapeutic level of evidence were found. Techniques for the posterior lamellar reconstruction can be categorized as local, regional, and distant flaps; tarsoconjunctival, heterotopic, homologous, and heterologous grafts. Several techniques and variations on the techniques exist to reconstruct the posterior lamella, and, for similar indications, there’s no evidence of the primacy of one over the other. Defect size and location as well as patient features must guide the oculoplastic surgeon’s choice. The use of biomaterials can avoid possible complications of the donor site.  相似文献

The production of chemicals from bio-based feedstocks is an emerging field of research in both industrial and academic communities. Here we present the synthesis of propylene glycol through catalytic hydrogenolysis of glycidol, obtained using a side-stream from the bio-based epichlorohydrin production plant, over Pd/C catalyst. In particular, we show the prominent effect of the acidic resin Amberlyst-15 in the selective and quantitative conversion of glycidol that permits to reach a TOF value of 162 h?1. Propylene glycol is obtained with high yields and selectivity (> 99%) in only 1 h under mild reaction conditions. The effect of solvent is also investigated giving interesting results on the reaction selectivity. The catalytic system (Pd/C + Amberlyst-15) shows a good recyclability also after seven reaction cycles reaching high performances in term of conversion and selectivity. This allowed minimizing the amount of waste and enhancing the efficiency of the whole system.  相似文献
