复方葆春袋泡茶质量标准研究

目的：制订复方葆春袋泡茶质量标准。方法：双波长薄层扫描法测定了五味子乙素的量,对淫羊藿,五味子,女贞子进行了薄层色谱鉴别。结果;加样回收率平均为９７．１５％（ＲＳＤ＝１．２％,ｎ＝５）,标准曲线ｒ＝０．９９９１,重复性ＲＳＤ＝１．４％（ｎ＝６）精密度ＲＳＤ＝２．３％（ｎ＝６）,结论,方法稳定,可靠,可作为该制剂的质量控制方法之一。     

Isoxazolines as potent antagonists of the integrin alpha(v)beta(3)

Starting with lead compound 2, we sought to increase the selectivity for alpha(v)beta(3)-mediated cell adhesion by examining the effects of structural changes in both the guanidine mimetic and the substituent alpha to the carboxylate. To prepare some of the desired aminoimidazoles, a novel reductive amination utilizing a trityl-protected aminoimidazole was developed. It was found that guanidine mimetics with a wide range of pK(a)'s were potent antagonists of alpha(v)beta(3). In general, it appeared that an acylated 2-aminoimidazole guanidine mimetic imparted excellent selectivity for alpha(v)beta(3)-mediated adhesion versus alpha(IIb)beta(3)-mediated platelet aggregation, with selectivity of approximately 3 orders of magnitude observed for compounds 3g and 3h. It was also found in this series that the alpha-substituent was required for potent activity and that 2,6-disubstituted arylsulfonamides were optimal. In addition, the selective alpha(v)beta(3) antagonist 3h was found to be a potent inhibitor of alpha(v)beta(3)-mediated cell migration.

Yoga therapy for breast cancer patients: A prospective cohort study

We sought to study the impact of yoga therapy on anxiety, depression and physical health in breast cancer patients.Stage I–III post-operative breast cancer patients were recruited with twelve 1-h weekly yoga sessions completed with an experienced yoga instructor. Before and after each module completion, assessments were obtained with the Hospital Anxiety and Depression scale (HADS), the Dallas pain scale and shoulder flexibility measurements.Fourteen patients completed the entire yoga session with 42.8% having a total mastectomy and 15.4% having breast reconstruction. Both right and left shoulder abduction flexibility significantly improved (p = 0.004; p = 0.015 respectively) as well as left shoulder flexion (p = 0.046). An improvement trend in scores for the HADS and Dallas questionnaires pre- and post-intervention was found, although it was not statistically significant.Our data indicates an improvement in physical function in addition to a consistent amelioration in anxiety, depression and pain symptoms after a yoga intervention.     

Grammaticality judgements of an extended optional infinitive grammar: evidence from English-speaking children with specific language impairment.

This study reports on the outcomes of an investigation designed to evaluate competing accounts of the nature of the grammatical limitations of children with specific language impairment (SLI) with a new comprehension measure involving well-formedness judgments. It is a follow-up to the longitudinal study of Rice, Wexler, and Hershberger (1998), which reported on the production of grammatical morphemes by young children with SLI and 2 control groups of children, one at equivalent levels of mean length of utterance at the outset of the study, the other of equivalent age. In this investigation, we report on grammaticality judgment measures collected from the same 3 groups of children over a period of 2 years for 5 times of measurement. It is the first longitudinal study of grammaticality judgments of children with SLI. The findings show that children's grammatical judgments parallel their productions: Children with SLI can make fine-tuned grammatical judgments to reject morphosyntactic errors they are unlikely to commit, whereas they accept morphosyntactic errors that they are likely to produce. The findings support the extended optional infinitive (EOI) account of morphosyntactic limitation based in underlying grammatical representations and do not support accounts of input processing deficits or production constraints.     

The pathological consequences of anaemia

Many patients with chronic diseases such as chronic renal failure, chronic inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatoid arthritis are anaemic. Recently congestive heart failure (CHF) has also been found to be associated with anaemia. In all these diseases this anaemia or chronic disease is at least partially due to excessive production of cytokines and leukotrines that interfere both with the effect of erythropoietin (EPO) at the bone marrow and the release of stored iron in the reticuloendothelial system. Treating this anaemia with subcutaneous EPO and IV iron improves the weakness, fatigue, cachexia, nutritional state, mood, cognitive function and quality of life. In the case of CHF it also improves cardiac function and patient functional class, prevents deterioration of renal function and markedly reduces hospitalization. Very few agents in medicine improve so many aspects of the patient so well and so quickly. Unfortunately (for the suffering patient) this anaemia is often ignored and goes untreated.     

Volumetric rendering techniques: applications for three-dimensional imaging of the hip

Volumetric rendering is a new approach to three-dimensional (3D) imaging that overcomes many of the drawbacks of currently available surface-rendering systems. Its application on the Pixar Imaging System in two cases of acetabular fracture was assessed to illustrate the features of the technique. The fast-computing architecture and large memory of this system allow rapid generation of a series of high-quality 3D images in each plane of rotation (x or spinal axis, z or somersaulting axis) that can be viewed as independent static images or as an animated real-time video loop. Editing to remove the normal contralateral hemipelvis enhances appreciation of acetabular abnormalities. Every pixel of computed tomographic data is preserved, allowing representation of both soft tissue and bone as translucent overlap. The presentation of data also allows detection of subtle abnormalities and features and minimizes the artifact generation common in surface-rendered images.     

Obstetric and nonmalignant gynecologic bleeding: treatment with angiographic embolization

Eight patients (seven post partum, one post abortion) with massive pelvic hemorrhage related to pregnancy and one patient with uncontrollable bleeding following a cervical biopsy underwent angiography to facilitate the identification and treatment of bleeding sites. In all nine patients pelvic hemorrhage was successfully controlled with embolization under angiographic guidance. Angiographic embolization allowed preservation of the uterus in six patients referred prior to hysterectomy, and one patient subsequently became pregnant. When conservative measures and minor surgical repairs have failed, embolization should be the next step in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage to avoid major surgery in an unstable patient and to maintain reproductive function.     

Myofibers in tongues of Down's syndrome

Muscle samples from the anterior part of the tongue in 15 patients with Down's syndrome (undergoing partial glossectomy), and 6 post-mortem controls, were examined histochemically. In most cases there was a Type 2 myofiber hypertrophy and preponderance, with frequent type 'grouplet' formation. In four cases examined ultrastructurally, hyperplastic, disorganized and atrophic neuromuscular junctions were seen. These preliminary ultrastructural findings suggest that synaptic morphometry could be a rewarding method of studying neuromuscular deficits in Down's syndrome.     

Effect of quinolone antimicrobials on theophylline pharmacokinetics

The purpose of the research was to ascertain the comparative differences of quinolone antibiotics on theophylline pharmacokinetics. Eight healthy male volunteers were randomly assigned to four treatments. Each was administered norfloxacin (NOR) 800 mg/d, ciprofloxacin (C) 1 g/d, nalidixic acid (NAL) 2 g/d and placebo (P) for 7 days. On the seventh day of each treatment, theophylline (5 mg/kg) iv was administered. The elimination half-life (T 1/2), total body clearance (CL) and volume of distribution at steady state (Vss) of theophylline were calculated using model-independent methods. ANOVA for repeated measures was used for data comparisons. The mean (SD) theophylline results were: CL l/kg/h--NOR .038 (.006), C .033 (.006), NAL .045 (.008), P .044 (.007); T 1/2 h--NOR 9.2 (1.8), C 10.6 (1.8), NAL 8.3 (1.8), P 7.5 (1.4). Theophylline Vss differences by treatment were not significant. NOR and C significantly decreased theophylline's clearance and the clearance change can be of clinical significance.
