Objective. Rapidly destructive hip disease (RDHD) is an uncommon disorder of the hip that has been considered a disease of unknown cause
and distinct from ischemic necrosis of the femoral head. The objective of this study was to investigate ischemic necrosis
of the femoral head as one potential cause of RDHD. Design and patients. In 600 patients who underwent MR imaging of the hip, 20 cases of ischemic necrosis involving the entire femoral head in 18
patients (3%) were retrospectively studied with routine radiography and MR imaging. All patients had surgically confirmed
ischemic necrosis of the femoral head. Results and conclusions. All patients showed rapid destruction of the femoral head on routine radiography and MR imaging as compared with the gradual
onset of clinical symptoms. Plain radiographs showed several bone fragments at the inferomedial aspect of the femoral head
(75%), acetabular erosions (55%), eccentric depression at the lateral articular surface of the femoral head conforming to
the adjacent acetabulum (35%), and mild osteoarthritis (15%). Bone sclerosis was often present at sites of impaction between
the femoral head and the acetabulum. MR imaging showed marked distention of the joint capsule in all cases. In 14 of 20 cases,
the contents of the joint space showed predominantly low or intermediate signal intensity on T1- and T2-weighted images. Ischemic
necrosis involving the entire femoral head may represent one of the causes of RDHD. 相似文献

Recently, attention has been given to the double-bundle technique for treating the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL)-deficient knee. We present an arthroscopic PCL reconstruction using a double-bundle technique with 3-stranded tibialis posterior (TP) allograft that has not been described before. The anterolateral bundle of the PCL is reconstructed using 2-stranded TP allograft and the posteromedial bundle using 1-stranded TP allograft. 3-Monochloro-1,2-propanediol (MCPD) is a well-known by-product of acid-hydrolyzed soy sauce during its manufacturing process. MCPD has been reported genotoxic in vitro, and reproductive toxicity and carcinogenicity in rats. To evaluate the immunomodulatory effect of MCPD on murine splenocyte and macrophage in vitro, we investigated splenocyte blastogenesis by concanavalin A (Con A), anti-CD3, and lipopolyssacharide (LPS), the production of cytokines from splenocyte, and the activity of mouse peritoneal macrophages. There was a significant decrease in lymphocyte blastogenesis to Con A or anti-CD3 at subtoxic dose of MCPD. A significant decrease in splenocyte blastogenesis to LPS was also observed. The production level of interferon (IFN)-gamma on splenocyte culture with Con A was significantly reduced at the higher concentration than 1.0mM of MCPD. The levels of interleukin (IL)-4 and IL-10 were also decreased at high concentrations of MCPD. There was a significant decrease in production of nitric oxide (NO) by peritoneal macrophages treated with MCPD. MCPD also inhibits tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha production of stimulated macrophages. These results indicate that MCPD might be able to reduce the functionality of lymphocytes and peritoneal macrophages in vitro. 相似文献
