A Peptide Family Being Re-United: The Angiotensins Coming in from the Cold

The renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system is now considered to be far more complex than previously thought when the vasoconstrictor and other physiological effects of the octapeptide angiotensin II in the circulating blood were emphasized. The reasons for this altered viewpoint, involving angiotensins other than the octapeptide in the regulation of blood pressure, water and electrolyte homeostasis, are briefly advanced and discussed.

春江水暖鸭先知

林钧才同志这篇文章,讲的是他在五十年代担任南京军区总医院院长时抵制“反右派”、保护知识分子的情境。读之感人至深。特转载于此,以飨读者。 历史证明,“反右派”运动是我党对知识分子政策的一大失误。但在那个政治风雨如磐、阶级斗争为纲、对事识人宁左勿右盛行的时代,林老能挺身而起向上级担保“我们这里没有右派”,是何等的难能可贵。为此方毅同志赞喻他为春江之“鸭”,有先知之明。而林老却自认为不是有高深理论修养能预知未来,只是“凭着一个常人的良知和理性”,遵照古训“己所不欲,勿施于人”行事而已。这是多么朴实的感情和风格。 林老从事医院领导管理工作三十多年,积累了多方面丰富的经验,都值得我们学习;其中最重要的是学习他爱护人才的高尚品德。用今天的话说,就是以人为本,以德治院,团结友善,明礼诚信。     

由西南医院贺普丁案引发的对医院管理的几点思考

发生医疗诉讼,对医院及有关涉案专家的声誉和形象都会产生若干负面影响.我们必须时刻把严抓医疗质量和医德医风建设放在医院建设的首位,从医院自身入手,尽量减少医患纠纷及医疗诉讼.要加强对客户供应产品特别是药品和卫材的管制,加强时非本院人员如进修医生护士、实习医生护士、陪工等的管理,严格监督和检查,以保证诊疗质量.医患纠纷发生后,应当采取积极的态度,寻求双方的和解,争取患者及家属的认同,进而得到舆论的认同.     

Possible Electromagnetic Interference with Electronic Medical Equipment by Radio Waves Coming from Outside the Hospital

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) with electronic medical equipment by radio waves from mobile telephone handsets has been reported and is currently receiving wide attention. The possibility of EMI with electronic medical equipment by radio waves coming into the hospital has also been pointed out. But so far, there are no reports measuring the frequency distribution of electric field intensity induced by incoming radio waves. Therefore, we measured electric field intensity induced by radio waves coming into our 11-floor hospital, which was under construction. The maximum intensity observed was about 200 V/m at 2.79 GHz, from airport surveillance radar waves. The maximum intensity induced by radio waves from cellular phone base stations was 1.78 V/m. These data show that various frequencies of radio waves are common in this urban area, and that they induce strong electric field intensity. This strong electric field intensity might cause EMI with electronic medical equipment. Measurement of the electromagnetic environment should be done by each hospital in urban areas to prevent EMI with electronic medical equipment.     

不同地区青年耐寒锻炼前后肺通气功能的变化

目的 研究来自不同地区青年耐寒锻炼前后肺通气功能的变化.方法 选取驻哈尔滨某部当年入伍的新兵,分为两组;Ⅰ组为来自寒区的新兵50人(吉林省吉林地区),Ⅱ组为来自非寒区的新兵50人(河南信阳);按照新兵训练大纲进行耐寒锻炼,分别于锻炼前和锻炼后60天测定受试者的肺通气功能.并比较吸烟者和非吸烟者肺通气功能指标.结果 训练前,Ⅰ组新兵的25%呼气流速(FEF25%)、50%呼气流速(FEF50%)和75%呼气流速(FEF75%)3项肺通气功能指标均高于Ⅱ组新兵,且有显著性差异(P<0.05);而其他肺通气功能指标两组间无显著性差异(P>0.05).训练后60天,两组新兵的肺通气功能指标均显著高于训练前(P<0.01,P<0.05),而两组间比较各项指标均无显著性差异.在训练前和训练60天后,新兵小气道功能的部分指标吸烟组和非吸烟组比较有显著性差异(P<0.05).结论 寒冷气候对来自非寒区的新兵训练前小气道功能有一定影响,而经过耐寒锻炼60天后,来自寒区和非寒区新兵的肺通气功能均显著提高,增强了新入伍战士对寒冷环境的适应能力.同时长期大量吸烟对小气道功能有一定损害.
