Reviewed current conceptualizations of how health behavior andhealth status are linked. Although many health providers assumea near perfect relationship between health behavior and healthstatus, empirical verification of this assumption has been difficult.For many diseases, the link between health behavior and healthstatus is weak, nonexistent, or untested. Problems associatedwith the definition, conceptualization, and measurement of bothhealth behavior and health status are discussed. The impactof treatment effectiveness (i.e., inert, weak, and strong treatments;treatments with linear versus nonlinear health-behavior relationships;and the effect of under- and overtreatment) on health behaviorand health status linkages is illustrated.  相似文献

Described conceptual and methodological issues that arise inthe design and analysis of data from studies of the impact ofparental health problems on children. Researchers should considerhow the functional effects, duration, and type of exposure ofparental health problems affect children's psychological experience.Multiple pathways (e.g., parental modeling, family socializationpractices, and genetic factors) that affect the transmissionof psychological and/or health risk to children need to be considered.Important methodological issues in this area of research includesample selection and bias, confounding factors, and limitedassessment of family influences. Future work should identifyfactors that enhance child and family resilience to the effectsof parental health problems. Studies are also needed to developand test interventions to reduce the psychological morbidityassociated with parental health problems.  相似文献

探索准确、高效、低成本、通用性并存的生物序列比对方法.将点阵图算法、启发式算法等各种序列比对算法中准确性最高的动态规划算法在计算机中实现,并通过流模型将其映射到图形硬件上,以实现算法加速;通过数据库比对搜索实例,进行比对时间和每秒百万次格点更新(MCUPS)性能值评测.结果表明,该加速算法在保证比对准确性的同时,能较大地提高比对速度.与目前最快的启发式算法相比,比对平均加速为18倍,最高加速可达28倍.  相似文献
