军队医院护士对军事护理任职教育的需求

目的了解军队医院护士对军事护理任职教育的需求,为进一步科学推进军队医院护士任职教育提供依据。方法采用多阶段随机抽样方法抽取10所军队医院在职护士共2800名,使用"临床护士军事护理任职教育需求问卷"对其进行无记名调查。结果 94.0%的护士有进一步提升军事素养的需求,95.7%的护士认为需要进一步拓展和提升军事护理知识与技能,其对军事护理任职教育需求排在前5位的为:战创伤现场救护(98.5%)、常见意外伤害的紧急救护(98.5%)、常见急性中毒的紧急救护(98.5%)、突发公共卫生事件的应急救援与护理(96.6%)和伤病员现场一线病情观察与分类(96.5%)。结论军队医院护士亟需通过任职教育进一步提升和加强军事护理素质和能力,科学设计适应现代卫勤保障和军队医院护士自身需求的军事护理任职教育模式及课程势在必行。     

军队医院文职护士继续教育学习需求的调查与分析

目的 了解军队医院文职护理人员对继续教育学习需求的现状,为科学开展继续教育提供依据.方法 按单纯随机整群抽样方法抽取10所军队综合性医院在职文职护士2 000名,采用"军队医院护理人员继续教育调查问卷"对其进调查.结果 回收有效问卷1 912份.93.7%～95.2%的文职护士有进一步提高军人素养和军事护理学知识与技能的需求,不同工作年限、不同层次护理人员对继续教育的内容、形式的需求不同.结论 文职护士对继续教育需求大,亟需通过分层次、科学合理的继续教育全面提升综合素质,以更好地满足岗位任职和现代卫勤保障的需求.     

护理人员继续学历教育状况分析

目的 了解护理人员继续学历教育状况。方法 采取描述性研究方法对医院302名护理人员继续教育学历情况进行调查。结果 有97．24％护理人员利用业余时间积极参加继续学历教育;在正编的146人护理人员中,有102人(69．86％)通过继续学历教育已获得大专以上学历、有29名(19．86％)在读继续学历教育;在聘用的156名护理人员中,有43人(占27．56％)通过继续学历教育已获得大专以上学历、有117名(75．00％)在读继续学历教育。结论 在新的人事制度下,护理管理者要重视护理人员的继续学历教育,在加强正式编制护理人员继续学历教育的同时,应重视聘用护理人员的继续学历教育。     

Partnering to Support Education for Midwives and Nurses in Liberia

The midwifery and occupational health faculty of a U.S. university were approached by parish and health care leaders from Caldwell, Liberia, for assistance in addressing critical maternal health care needs in their community. Liberia has suffered setbacks in its efforts to improve health care for its people due to recent civil wars and the Ebola epidemic of 2014 to 2016. Initial discussions among international groups centered around realistic ways to help in the face of multiple compelling needs. Grant support for U.S. faculty to conduct exploratory meetings and educational workshops in Liberia was secured. Ethical principles and best practices in partnering across borders guided this partnership and include reciprocity, equity, and empowerment of health care workers, including nurses, midwives, community workers, and health center staff. Here, we describe the preparation for and implementation of these workshops, as well as plans for continuing collaborations that emerged from these workshops.

Methods of Continuing Professional Education Preferred by Irish Pediatric Nurses

PURPOSE: To explore the continuing professional education (CPE) of pediatric nurses in Ireland and establish if and in what ways pediatric nurses are taking part in CPE as well as factors that might assist or hinder pediatric nurses in undertaking CPE. DESIGN AND METHODS: A stratified random sample of 205 registered children's nurses (RCNs) completed a questionnaire. RESULTS: RCNs in Ireland use a variety of methods of CPE, the most popular being journal reading, while the least popular method is the use of computerized journal databases and the internet. Many RCNs appear to lack the computer skills necessary to utilize these methods of CPE. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS: The favored methods of CPE by RCNs need to be utilized and promoted in the practice setting in order to ensure RCNs are up to date in the provision of quality care to pediatric patients.     

Challenges for Continuing Education of Public Health Nurses in Florida

Perceived continuing education needs among public health nurses at the staff and supervisory levels were investigated. A questionnaire was adapted for each and administered at participating county public health units. Results indicated a high level of agreement between staff nurses and supervisors. Further analysis of the data suggested a relationship between the nurses' perception of continuing education needs and the realities of their nursing practice. Public health nurses, educators, and administrators face the challenge of refocusing continuing education needs and activities on the broad scope of this area of specialty.
