Two cases of perineal ectopic testis

PURPOSE: Perineal ectopic testis is seen very rarely and here we report on two patients with perineal ectopic testis. METHODS/RESULTS: We experienced two cases of perineal ectopic testis on which orchiopexies to the corresponding hemiscrotums were performed. CONCLUSIONS: On surgical exploration, the gubernaculum testes were found to lie fixed to the perineum.     

Bilateral germ-cell tumors of testes

Bilateral malignant germ-cell tumors of the testes are extremely rare. The literature is reviewed and a case of bilateral simultaneous embryonal carcinoma of the testes is reported.     

Bilateral single ectopic ureter

A case of successfully treated bilateral single ectopic ureter with a follow-up of 13 years is reported. The genesis of the incompetence of the vesical sphincter and its treatment are discussed.     

Bilateral single ectopic ureter

A case of single bilateral ureteral ectopia is presented. Patient underwent bilateral ureteral reimplantation with right ureteral tailoring, with a satisfactory result.     

Bilateral testicular seminoma in intra-abdominal testes.

A seminoma of both intra-abdominal testes in a forty-five-year-old patient is reported. Discovery of the tumor was fortuitous during admission for upper lobe pneumonia. Of particular interest in this case is that seminoma was found in both undescended testes. Surgical extirpation of both degenerated testes along with prostatic utricle was performed. The patient refused radiotherapy.     

Bilateral testicular biopsies and histological comparison of both testes

Both testes from 37 men were biopsied; 17 idiopathic azoospermia and 20 varicocele patients either azoospermic or severely oligozoospermic. Histological findings of both testes were studied by means of Johnsen's score count. In idiopathic azoospermia, there was no difference between bilateral testes. Unilateral biopsy of the testis is indicated in this type of male infertility. In varicocele, the testis on the left side showed more advanced damage of the seminiferous tubuli than the right side on average count. Bilateral testicular biopsy is indicated in varicocele cases.     

Bilateral ectopic ureteroceles: report of a case

A case of bilateral ectopic ureteroceles with complete duplicated pelves and ureters occurring in a 9-year-old girl is reported. She complained of cloudy urine and urinary incontinence. IVU revealed bilateral complete duplicated collecting systems and hydronephrosis of upper poles of the kidney. Bilateral ureterovesiconeostomy by modified Politano-Leadbetter method was carried out. Her postoperative course was uneventful and hydronephrosis of upper poles on IVU at 1 year after discharge and urinary incontinence improved. The 11 reported cases with bilateral ectopic ureteroceles including our case are reviewed and some characteristics of this entry are discussed.     

A painful perineal lump: an unusual case of ectopic breast tissue

We report the case of a 40-year-old lady who presented with an episodically painful perineal lump. Clinical and radiological investigations were inconclusive. Excision biopsy confirmed an ectopic breast mass. Ectopic breast tissue is difficult to diagnose but close attention to clinical findings can help to guide further investigation and diagnosis.
