有氧运动改善血管性痴呆大鼠认知功能的皮质机制研究： 随机对照实验方案

BACKGROUND:Research on the mechanism underlying aerobic exercise improving cognitive function of rats with vascular dementia mainly focuses on behavioral observation and indicator detection in the hippocampus in vitro; however, there is a lack of in vivo experiments in view of the sensory and prefrontal cortex. METHODS/DESIGN: A randomized controlled animal experiment has been designed. Based on the synchronous nerve electrophysiology recording developed by our research group, the experiment is designed as follows: rats are trained firstly to make different reactions to different sounds, and are then modeled into vascular dementia. There are normal, vascular dementia, and vascular dementia undergoing short-, median-, and long-term aerobic exercise (treadmill/wheel) rats. Afterwards, the implantable microelectrodes are implanted into the auditory and prefrontal cortex, followed by the cognitive behavior training. The characters of rat cognitive behavior are observed, the electrical activity of sensory and prefrontal cortical neurons are recorded synchronously, the cortical experiment at molecular level is performed and the ultrastructure of brain tissue is observed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:This study investigates the cortical mechanism by which aerobic exercise improves the cognitive function of vascular dementia rats utilizing etiology, electrophysiology, molecular biology and histological technologies, aiming at providing feasible ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of relative mental and nervous system diseases. ETHICAL APPROVAL: This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of Shenyang Sport University. 089阿耳茨海默氏病动物实验研究新进展:Aβ肽免疫接种能预防记忆缺损

阿耳茨海默氏病(Alzheimer's Disease,AD)在临床上以渐进性记忆障碍为特征.目前尚缺乏有效的治疗手段.因此科学家们正不遗余力地抓紧研究以期早日克服这个"世纪顽症".Aβ肽能显著减少AD小鼠的淀粉样蛋白在大脑中的沉积.但是,Aβ肽接种所诱发的炎性反应是否影响大脑的正常功能,以及它是否能预防AD小鼠的记忆缺损,人们对此尚不清楚.为此,美国南佛里达大学阿耳茨海默研究室的科学家摩根(Alzheimer Research Laboratory,University of South Florida,Tampa,Florida,USA)对此进行了研究.

Analysis of clinical phenotype and ACAT1 gene mutation in a family affected with β-ketothiolase deficiency北大核心CSCD

Objective: To investigate the clinical phenotype and ACATI gene mutation in a family affected with β-ketothiolase deficiency (BKTD). Methods: Clinical features and laboratory test data were collected. The probands were monozygotic twin brothers. Genomic DNA was isolated from peripheral blood leukocytes obtained from the probands and their family members. Molecular genetic testing of the ACAT1 gene was carried out. Results: The probands have presented with fever, vomiting and severe ketoacidosis. By arterial blood gas testing, pH was determined to be 7. 164, bicarbonate was 4. 0 mmol/L, and urine ketone was + + + +. Urinary organic acid gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis showed excessive excretion of 3-hydroxybutyric acid, 2-methyl-3-hydroxybutyric acid and tiglylglycine. Increased 3-hydroxybutyrylcarnitine (C4-OH), tiglylcarnitine (C5:1) and 3-hydroxyisovalerylcarnitine (C5-0H) levels. The clinical phenotype of proband's parents were both normal, but an elder sister turned out to be an affected patient. Genetic analysis has identified two heterozygous mutations [c. 622C>T(p. R208X) and c. 653C>T(p. S218F)] in the proband, which were respectively detected in the mother and father. The c. 653C>T(p. S218F) mutation was not found among the 100 healthy controls and has not been included in the Human Gene Mutation Database (HGMD). Conclusion: The primary clinical manifestations of BKTD is ketoacidosis. Urine organic acid and blood acylcarnitine analyses play an important role in the diagnosis of the disease. The compound heterozygous of ACAT1 gene mutations probably underlie the BKTD in our patient. © 2016, West China University of Medical Sciences. All rights reserved.     

A Single Channel Measurement Svstem For Brain MIT

A single channel measurement system for brain MIT has been built. The system is composed of an exciting source unit, a detecting unit, a rotating and controlling unit, and imaging unit. The experiment results of single channel measurements show that the system output versus the conductivity of the objects was an approximate linear relationship when the diameter of an object was about 9cm and its conductivity was in 0.1 S/m, 0.7 S/m, 2S/m, 6S/m. The sensitivit yof the phase detector was 53 mV/degree from -10 to 10 degree.

PACS Viewer Based on Java Applet in B／S Architecture

PACS can be applied in the network architecture of Client/Server (C/S) and Browser/Server (B/S) in current application of hospital information system. PACS Viewer of B/S model is realized by means of the browser commonly, but web browser does not support DICOM standard. In this article, how to use Java Applet to realize the display and operations of DICOM images will be discussed. The lightweight method to view DICOM images is very fit for telemedical treatment, and the situations not require strong ability in image operations。
