Haplotype, allele frequencies and population data of 12 Y-chromosome STR loci DYS19, DYS385, DYS389I, DYS389II, DYS390, DYS391, DYS392, DYS393, DYS437, DYS438 and DYS439 were determined from a sample of 128 unrelated male individuals from Honduras, Central America. A total of 112 haplotypes were identified by the 12 Y-STR loci of which 98 were unique. The haplotype diversity (98.99%) and the proportion of different haplotypes (87.50%) were estimated. Genetic distances were calculated between Honduras and other populations from Southern and Central America, Europe and Africa. The analysis of a Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) plot, based on pairwise RST genetic distances, allowed to conclude that Honduras is highly differentiated from the African samples (0.343  RST  0.620; P = 0.000) and from a Native American sample from Argentina, Tobas (RST = 0.210, P = 0.000). Honduras showed a lower genetic distance to the European cluster (composed by European and South American general population samples from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela) than to the Central American cluster (Mexico and El Salvador).  相似文献

In this study, allele frequencies for 29 autosomal short tandem repeats (STRs) and haplotype frequencies for 17 Y-chromosomal STRs of an Afghan population have been generated. Samples from 348 men and women originating from Afghanistan were analysed for the autosomal STRs, and the combined match probability was estimated to be 7.5?×?10?37. One hundred and sixty-nine men were analysed for the Y-chromosomal STRs, which resulted in 132 different haplotypes and a haplotype diversity of 0.995.  相似文献

Haplotype, allele frequencies and population data of 12 Y-chromosome STR loci DYS19, DYS385, DYS389I, DYS389II, DYS390, DYS391, DYS392, DYS393, DYS437, DYS438 and DYS439 were determined from a sample of 150 unrelated male individuals from El Salvador, Central America. A total of 131 haplotypes were identified by the 12 Y-STR loci of which 118 were unique. The haplotype diversity (99.08%) and the proportion of different haplotypes (87.33%) were estimated. RST genetic distances were calculated between El Salvador and other populations from Southern and Central America, Europe and Africa. The highest RST genetic distances were found when comparing El Salvador with African populations (0.334 ? RST ? 0.395). The lowest non-significant distance was found in the comparison with Honduras. The observed genetic distances between El Salvador and Southern and Central Native groups presented a wide range of values (from 0.024 to 0.210) that can be explained by the differences in the proportion of European versus Amerindian contributions in these population groups. The Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS) plot analysis, based on pairwise RST values, showed that the general population of El Salvador is closer to the European cluster (composed by European and South American general population samples from Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela) than to the Southern/Central American cluster of Native and Mestizo populations.  相似文献

Allele frequencies for the 15 STR loci (D3S1358, TH01, D21S11, D18S51, Penta E, D5S818, D13S317, D7S820, D16S539, CSF1PO, Penta D, VWA, D8S1179, TPOX and FGA) were investigated using PowerPlex®16 amplification kit in a sample of 328 unrelated individuals from Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The allelic distributions were in Hardy Weinberg equilibrium for all loci except for the loci FGA, TPX and THO1. Various forensic indices were calculated and a comparison was made with geographically nearby populations.  相似文献

Seventeen Y STR loci were typed in a population sample of 191 unrelated male individuals from Northern Greece. Haplotypes are presented for the following loci: DYS456, DYS389I, DYS390, DYS389II, DYS458, DYS19, DYS385a/b, DYS393, DYS391, DYS439, DYS635, DYS392, Y GATA H4, DYS437, DYS438 and DYS448. The overall haplotype diversity was 0.9992. This database study provides significant additional information for the application of Y-chromosomal STRs to forensic identification efforts in Greece by nearly doubling both the number of individuals and the number of Y-loci typed from Greek populations. These samples have been previously typed for autosomal STRs [L. Kovatsi, T.J. Parsons, R.S. Just, J.A. Irwin, Genetic variation for 15 autosomal STR loci (PowerPlex 16) in a population sample from northern Greece, Forensic Sci. Int. 159 (2006) 61–63] and the mitochondrial DNA control region [J. Irwin, J. Saunier, K. Strouss, C. Paintner, T. Diegoli, K. Sturk, L. Kovatsi, A. Brandstatter, M.A. Cariolou, W. Parson, T.J. Parsons, Mitochondrial control region sequences from northern Greece and Greek Cypriots, Int. J. Legal Med. 122 (2008) 87–89].  相似文献

Allele frequencies for 17 STRs, together with some parameters of forensic interest, were estimated in a sample of 835 unrelated individuals born in Tuscany, an Italian region. These data were compared with Italian, Chinese, Kosovo Albanian, Romanian and Tunisian populations, strongly represented in this area. No significant differences in single loci were detected, except for Chinese in comparison with all the other populations.  相似文献

This study reports the first data on Y-chromosome-specific short tandem repeat (STR) haplotype frequencies, in the population of the island of Sicily (Italy), based on the combination of alleles at the following 10 Y-chromosome loci DYS19, DYS389I, DYS389II, DYS390, DYS391, DYS392, DYS393, DYS437, DYS438, and DYS439. In a total of 117 males, 108 unique haplotypes were observed, with 99 of them being singletons. The 10 locus haplotypes generated a diversity value of 0.9987 and discriminatory power (DP) of 92.30%. The data on the seven of the 10 polymorphisms (DYS19; DYS389I; DYS389II; DYS390; DYS391; DYS392 and DYS393) that have been most studied in worldwide populations were compared with similar data from neighboring Mediterranean populations in order to address the question of shared ancestry, gene flow and population affinities. Overall, results indicate Sicily is closest genetically to the mainland Italian population but also with evidence of a significant African component in the male gene pool. These findings are consistent with those obtained from other genetic markers (autosomal and mitochondrial DNA as well as the classical blood groups) and also with the recorded settlement history (either peaceful or due to invasion) of the island.  相似文献

Allele frequencies of five miniSTRs loci (D1S1656, D2S441, D12S391, D10S1248 and D22S1045) included in the new European Standard Set (ESS) were calculated from a sample of 150 unrelated individuals from Apulia, a Region of Southern Italy. Two different PCR Amplification Kits were used, in order to evaluate the concordance of the genotypes. The results obtained with the two kits showed no differences in all genotype profiles. No deviation from Hardy–Weinberg expectations was detected at either locus. Moreover genetic analysis using Fst estimation showed no evidence for differentiation at the five new loci between Apulia and Italian populations. The high levels of polymorphisms of the analyzed markers in the Apulian population allow to confirm that these markers are useful tools in paternity and forensic analysis from degraded DNA samples.  相似文献

Polymorphisms of six Y-chromosome STRs in a Chinese population   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
The polymorphic short tandem repeat (STR) loci of six Y-chromosome markers were investigated in 112 unrelated Chinese males using a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Allele and haplotype frequencies for the Y-specific STR loci DYS19, DYS385, DYS389II, DYS390, DYS391 and DYS393 were analyzed by the Y-PLEX 6 Kit. The commonest allele for each locus was: DYS19, allele 15; DYS385, allele 12; DYS389II, allele 28; DYS390, allele 23; DYS391, 10; and DYS393, allele 12. Gene diversity value was calculated from the allelic frequency for each locus. The DYS385 locus proved to be highly polymorphic (0.890), DYS391 showed the lowest value (0.489), and the other loci showed values ranging from 0.646 to 0.897. A total of 99 haplotypes were observed in six Y-specific STR loci, the haplotype diversity was raised to 0.999. The results revealed that a set of six Y-specific STR loci were able to discriminate most of the male individuals in the Chinese population.  相似文献

We analyzed 242 individuals from the Valley of Mexico, including the larger and more cosmopolitan city of this country. They were PCR-typed for 15 STR loci with the AmpFlSTR Identifiler PCR Amplification Kit (Applied Biosystems). Allele frequencies for each STR were estimated and compared to previous reports. Genotype distribution by locus and by two-loci combination was in agreement with Hardy-Weinberg expectations for all fifteen STRs. This STR system in Mexican-mestizos presented a combined probability of exclusion (PE) and discrimination (PD) longer than 99.999%, respectively.  相似文献
