Four separate laboratories performed antimicrobial susceptibility tests with 40 Haemophilus influenzae isolates, each tested in triplicate. Erythromycin and a new macrolide, clarithromycin (A-56268; TE-031), were tested by the disk diffusion method, by the agar dilution procedure in two different media, and by broth microdilution tests in four different media. Erythromycin MICs for 90% of the strains were 16 micrograms/ml in Mueller-Hinton broth with 3% lysed horse blood and NAD, 4.0 micrograms/ml in hemophilus test medium, and 2.0 micrograms/ml in supplemented Schaedler broth or in the fastidious broth medium from Beckman Instruments, Inc. Clarithromycin MICs were generally 1 doubling dilution greater than erythromycin MICs in each of the media. Erythromycin disk tests corresponded best with MICs determined in the fastidious broth medium. In that same medium, clarithromycin MICs were about 1 doubling dilution greater than what would be expected from the results of disk tests. Because there were fewer growth failures, hemophilus test medium is recommended for microdilution tests with H. influenzae. Incubation of all tests for a full 24 h without an increased CO2 atmosphere was needed to achieve maximal precision of the tests. Interlaboratory and intralaboratory reproducibility of all tests was satisfactory.  相似文献

The need for complex growth media has complicated routine susceptibility testing of Haemophilus influenzae because of antagonism of certain antimicrobial agents by the medium or because of difficulties in interpretation of growth endpoints. Haemophilus test medium (HTM) is a simple, transparent medium for broth- or agar-based tests with H. influenzae. HTM incorporates Mueller-Hinton medium with additions of 15 micrograms of hematin per ml, 15 micrograms of NAD per ml, and 5 mg of yeast extract per ml as growth-promoting additives. Agar or broth microdilution MICs of 10 antimicrobial agents for a collection of 179 H. influenzae isolates determined by using HTM compared favorably with MICs determined by the conventional agar or broth dilution methods recommended by the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards. Disk diffusion tests performed with HTM allowed accurate categorization of susceptible and resistant strains and were easier to interpret than tests performed with Mueller-Hinton chocolate agar. A particular advantage of HTM was the reliability of broth- or agar-based test results with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. The results of the study suggest modification of current National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards MIC-interpretive criteria for H. influenzae with amoxicillin-clavulanate, chloramphenicol, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. Error rate-bounded analysis of MICs and disk diffusion zone sizes also suggest modified zone-interpretive criteria for ampicillin, amoxicillin-clavulanate, chloramphenicol, and tetracycline with HTM or conventional media. Interpretive zone sizes are newly proposed for cefaclor and rifampin disk diffusion tests.  相似文献

A recently described medium (Haemophilus test medium [HTM]) for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of Haemophilus influenzae was evaluated in this study for broth microdilution testing of Streptococcus pneumoniae. A total of 137 clinical isolates was tested against 11 antimicrobial agents, using Mueller-Hinton broth supplemented with 3% lysed horse blood in parallel with HTM. Inocula of 5 X 10(5) CFU/ml and incubation for 20 to 24 h were used with both media. All isolates of S. pneumoniae produced acceptable growth in both media, and MICs determined in HTM agreed closely with those determined in lysed horse blood. Drugs which provided a MIC within 1 log2 concentration difference in both media included penicillin (100%), ampicillin (98.0%), amoxicillin-clavulanate (100%), ampicillin-sulbactam (100%), cephalexin (98.9%), cefaclor (96.8%), cefuroxime (99.0%), chloramphenicol (96.2%), tetracycline (96.2%), and erythromycin (100%). HTM MICs with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole were 1 to 2 log2 concentration increments higher in 92.0% of isolates than MICs determined in lysed horse blood. Based on the results of this study, HTM appears to represent a promising alternative medium for broth microdilution susceptibility testing of S. pneumoniae.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate the in vitro activity of telithromycin against 142 strains of Haemophilus influenzae using determination of MICs by agar dilution method and to evaluate the correlation between MICs and inhibition diameter zones obtained by disk diffusion testing. MIC50 and MIC90 of telithromycin were 1 and 2 mg/L respectively. Telithromycin activity against H. influenzae was similar to that of azithromycin, superior to erythromycin and clarithromycin and irrespective of the susceptibility to betalactams. Distribution of diameter zones showed a similar pattern to that of MICs but correlation between MICs and diameter zones was poor with correlation coefficients inferior to 0.5 whatever the agar media used.  相似文献

As considerable variation in the antimicrobial susceptibility of Haemophilus influenzae has been reported, the effects of various test media on the susceptibility of H. influenzae were studied. MICs were determined by three laboratories for 21 antimicrobial agents against a panel of 100 selected isolates. Testing was performed using a reference NCCLS frozen broth microdilution method with Haemophilus test medium (HTM) broth and dried commercial MIC trays rehydrated with the following media: in-house and commercially prepared HTM broth, Mueller-Hinton broth with 2% lysed horse blood and NAD, IsoSensitest broth with 2% lysed horse blood and NAD, and IsoSensitest broth-based HTM. Overall, all results were very reproducible, with the MIC at which 50% of the isolates tested are inhibited (MIC(50)), MIC(90), and geometric mean MIC being within one doubling dilution by all six methods and at all three testing centers for 15 of the 21 agents tested. Interlaboratory differences were more marked than intralaboratory differences or differences among media. Cefprozil, cefaclor, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole results differed the most, while results for ampicillin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, cefdinir, cefixime, ceftriaxone, and clarithromycin were the most reproducible. However, these variations in results caused considerable differences in susceptibility rates for agents for which NCCLS susceptible breakpoints were close to the geometric mean MIC, particularly for cefaclor and cefprozil. This was much less of a problem when pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic breakpoints were used. Reproducible susceptibility results were obtained for a wide range of agents against H. influenzae in three laboratories using a variety of media that support the growth of this fastidious species.  相似文献

Haemophilus test medium (HTM) was developed recently for dilution and disk diffusion antimicrobial agent susceptibility testing of Haemophilus influenzae. The application of HTM to the testing of other, less frequently encountered Haemophilus species recovered from humans was evaluated in this study by using commercially prepared HTM (BBL Microbiology Systems, Cockeysville, Md.) in broth microdilution and agar disk diffusion susceptibility tests with 18 antimicrobial agents. A total of 93.3% of 90 isolates belonging to six Haemophilus species provided acceptable growth in HTM agar disk diffusion tests, while only 63.3% (57 of 90) provided acceptable growth in the broth microdilution tests. However, HTM agar dilution testing provided an alternative method for those strains (primarily H. haemolyticus) which failed to grow adequately in broth. Based on the latest National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards guidelines (standard M2-T4) for interpretation of HTM disk tests of H. influenzae, the overall very major, major, and minor errors for all 18 drugs and six species tested were 0.2, 0.7, and 3.4%, respectively. Thus, the use of HTM in agar or broth susceptibility tests can be recommended for testing the less commonly encountered Haemophilus species by using the same test conditions and interpretive guidelines developed for H. influenzae.  相似文献

Twelve strains of Haemophilus influenzae were tested for susceptibility to gentamicin, ampicillin, chloramphenicol and cephalothin using two methods, agar dilution and microdilution (broth). Although inocula and incubation conditions were standardized, significant differences in the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) were seen as a result of growth media. Method dependent differences were also observed for some antibiotics. Notwithstanding such variation, high level resistance of H. influenzae to ampicillin was readily detected by either broth or agar dilution tests.  相似文献

Objective: To evaluate the effect of carbon dioxide on the susceptibility testing, using broth microdilution and the Etest (AB Biodisk, Solna, Sweden), of azithromycin, clarithromycin and roxithromycin against Streptococcus pneumoniae and Streptococcus pyogenes .
Methods: Fresh clinical isolates collected from 36 hospital laboratories in 12 countries were evaluated using the Etest in the presence of carbon dioxide. The isolates were retested under ambient conditions (absence of carbon dioxide) using broth microdilution and/or the Etest.
Results: Carbon dioxide falsely elevated azithromycin, clarithromycin and roxithromycin MIC90S for S. pneumoniae , determined by the Etest, approximately 12-fold. Also, the azithromycin MIC90 for S. pyogenes was increased fourfold; the effect was less marked for clarithromycin and roxithromycin. When isolates were retested in the absence of carbon dioxide, using the Etest or microdilution, susceptibilities to azithroymycin were comparable to those to clarithromycin ( S. pneumoniae , 93.4% versus 91.3%; S. pyogenes , 96.4% versus 95.8%). Both organisms were less susceptible to roxithromycin ( S. pneumoniae , 71.3%; S. pyogenes , 85.7%). An internal standard control, consisting of 50 isolates each of S. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes and Haemophilus influenzae , confirmed that azithromycin susceptibility testing resulted in falsely elevated MICs.
Conclusions: Carbon dioxide falsely elevated azithromycin MICs for S. pneumoniae and S. pyogenes , with an apparent reduction in susceptibility. When the in vitro activity of azithromycin and other macrolides against S. pneumoniae and S. pyogenes is being evaluated, awareness of the pH effect is essential.  相似文献

One hundred fifty isolates of Haemophilus influenzae (including 30 beta-lactamase-positive strains and 23 beta-lactamase-negative, ampicillin-resistant strains) were tested for susceptibilities to ampicillin, amoxicillin, and amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (A/C) by the broth microdilution method in Haemophilus test medium (HTM) and in Mueller-Hinton medium with lysed horse blood and by the disk diffusion method on HTM agar. Our results support the use of HTM for susceptibility testing of H. influenzae but raise a number of questions regarding the interpretive criteria currently in use, particularly with respect to the fourfold difference in MIC susceptibility breakpoints for ampicillin and A/C and a resulting high proportion of A/C-susceptible beta-lactamase-negative, ampicillin-resistant strains.  相似文献

A multicenter study was conducted to assess the inter- and intralaboratory reproducibility of the Etest for susceptibility testing of the rapidly growing mycobacteria. The accuracy also was evaluated by comparing Etest results to those obtained by broth microdilution. Ten isolates (four of the Mycobacterium fortuitum group, three of Mycobacterium abscessus, and three of Mycobacterium chelonae) were tested against amikacin, cefoxitin, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin, doxycycline, imipenem, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole in each of four laboratories. At each site, isolates were tested three times on each of three separate days (nine testing events per isolate) using common lots of media and Etest strips. Interlaboratory agreement among MICs (i.e., mode +/- 1 twofold dilution) varied for the different drug-isolate combinations and overall was best for trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (75% for one isolate and 100% for all others), followed by doxycycline and ciprofloxacin. Interlaboratory agreement based on interpretive category also varied and overall was best for doxycycline (100% for all isolates), followed by trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole and ciprofloxacin. Interlaboratory reproducibility among MICs was most variable for imipenem, and agreement by interpretive category was lowest for imipenem and amikacin. Modal Etest MICs agreed with those by broth microdilution only for doxycycline and the sulfonamides. For all other drugs, the modal MICs by the two methods differed by more than +/- 1 twofold dilution for one or more isolates. In all cases, the Etest MIC was higher and would have caused reports of false resistance. In summary, the Etest in this evaluation did not perform as well as broth microdilution for susceptibility testing of the rapidly growing mycobacteria. It was problematic for most species and drugs, primarily because of a trailing endpoint and/or high MICs compared to broth. Its use will necessitate further investigation, including determination of the optimal medium and incubation conditions and clarification of endpoint interpretation.  相似文献

MICs of antibiotics against Bilophila wadsworthia isolates were measured by agar and broth microdilution with pyruvic acid and by Etest. The inoculum size influenced greatly agar dilution. Despite discrepancies in MICs depending on the measurement method used, clindamycin consistently showed potent activity. Broth microdilution and Etest appear to be candidates for laboratory susceptibility testing.  相似文献

Objective  To test the activity of telithromycin against 1034 Streptococcus pneumoniae isolates from pediatric patients in ten centers from ten central and eastern European countries during 2000–2001, and to compare it with the activities of erythromycin A, azithromycin, clarithromycin, clindamycin, and quinupristin–dalfopristin.
Methods  The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of telithromycin, erythromycin A, azithromycin, clarithromycin, clindamycin, levofloxacin, quinupristin–dalfopristin and penicillin G were tested by the agar dilution method with incubation in air, and mechanisms of resistance to macrolides and quinolones were investigated.
Results  Strains were isolated from sputum, tracheal aspirates, ear, eye, blood, and cerebrospinal fluid. Among S. pneumoniae strains tested, 36% had raised penicillin G MICs (≥ 0.12 mg/L). Susceptibilities were as follows: telithromycin, quinupristin–dalfopristin and levofloxacin, ≥ 99%; clindamycin, 83%; and erythromycin A, azithromycin and clarithromycin, 78%. Of 230 (22.3%) erythromycin A-resistant S. pneumoniae strains, 176 (79.6%) had erm(B) , 38 (16.1%) had mef(A) , and 10 (4.3%) had mutations in 23S ribosomal RNA or in ribosomal protein L4. The rates of drug-resistant S. pneumoniae are high in all centers except Kaunas, Riga, and Prague.
Conclusion  Telithromycin had low MICs against all strains, irrespective of macrolide, azalide or clindamycin resistance. Ribosomal methylation was the most prevalent resistance mechanism among all resistant strains, except in Sofia, where the prevalence of the efflux mechanism was higher.  相似文献

A multicenter study was conducted to assess the interlaboratory reproducibility of susceptibility testing of Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) by broth microdilution using two different media (cation-adjusted Mueller-Hinton broth with 5% oleic acid-albumin-dextrose-catalase and 7H9 broth with casein) and by macrodilution using the BACTEC 460TB and 12B media at pH 6.8 and 7.3 to 7.4. Ten well-characterized strains of MAC (four macrolide susceptible, six macrolide resistant) were tested against clarithromycin and azithromycin (the latter only by BACTEC 460TB, pH 6.8). At each site, strains were tested against clarithromycin three times on each of three separate days (nine testing events per isolate) by using a common lot of microdilution trays and BACTEC 12B medium, pH 6.8; strains were tested once on three separate days against clarithromycin in 12B medium at pH 7.3 to 7.4 and against azithromycin. Agreement among MICs (i.e., mode +/- 1 twofold dilution) was 100% for all strains and both drugs when BACTEC 460TB was used, regardless of the pH of the medium, but varied when microdilution with either medium was used, particularly with susceptible strains. Agreement based on interpretive category, with NCCLS-recommended breakpoints, was 100% for all strains with the BACTEC 460TB method (both drugs and both pH values) and with microdilution using 7H9 broth. With microdilution and Mueller-Hinton broth, agreement by interpretive category was 100% for eight isolates and >90% for two; errors occurred only in laboratories where personnel had minimal experience with this technique. MAC susceptibility testing may be performed by broth macrodilution or microdilution at either pH, with NCCLS-recommended interpretive breakpoints. However, because visual interpretation of broth microdilution end points is subjective, it is more prone to reader error; therefore, this method requires greater expertise than the BACTEC 460TB. Both techniques require appropriate validation and continued documentation of proficiency.  相似文献

The E-test (PDM Epsilometer; AB Biodisk, Solna, Sweden) is an antimicrobial agent gradient-coated plastic test strip which allows MIC determinations on agar media. The test is performed in a manner similar to the agar disk diffusion procedure. A collection of Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae strains possessing various resistance mechanisms was used to evaluate the E-test method. H. influenzae strains were tested with both Haemophilus test medium (HTM) and PDM ASM II chocolate agar, while the S. pneumoniae strains were tested on Mueller-Hinton sheep blood agar. E-test MICs for a total of 10 antimicrobial agents were compared with broth microdilution MICs determined according to National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards methods. In general, E-test MICs for both species were quickly and easily interpreted and agreed within one log2 MIC increment in 89.8% of tests with H. influenzae and in 80.4% of pneumococcal tests. The majority of disagreements between the E-test and conventional MICs occurred with trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole because of trailing and diffuse E-test MIC endpoints with both species. Ampicillin MICs for beta-lactamase-producing H. influenzae determined by the E-test differed at times from those determined by conventional testing because of the vagaries of interpreting colonies growing within the E-test inhibition ellipses. E-test penicillin MICs for pneumococci tended to be 1 to 2 log2 dilutions lower than those determined by using Mueller-Hinton broth supplemented with lysed horse blood. Nevertheless, strains of both species with documented resistance to the study drugs were detected by E-tests, i.e., 0.7% of the tests had very major errors with H. influenzae and 0.8% had very major errors with S. pneumoniae. Thus, the E-test represents a potential alternative method for antimicrobial susceptibility testing of these two fastidious bacterial species.  相似文献

The macrolide-azilide susceptibility testing (agar dilution, disk diffusion, Etest) criteria for 105 Neisseria gonorrhoeae strains were evaluated. In addition, the potencies of azithromycin, clarithromycin, and erythromycin were studied. The most active macrolide-azilide agent was azithromycin (MIC at which 90% of the isolates are inhibited [MIC90], 0.5 microgram/ml) compared with clarithromycin (MIC90, 1.5 to 2 micrograms/ml) and erythromycin (MIC90, 2 to 4 micrograms/ml). The Etest (AB Biodisk, Solna, Sweden) was observed to produce MIC results very similar to those of the reference agar dilution test (GC agar base), with 100% of the results within 1 log2 dilution step of the reference MICs. The disk diffusion test zone diameters for all three drugs correlated at an acceptable level (r = -0.81 to -0.92) with the reference agar dilution MICs. Interpretive criteria for susceptibility were proposed for azithromycin at a MIC of < or = 2 micrograms/ml and a disk diffusion test zone of > or = 25 mm. No category for resistance was proposed because of the paucity of strains for which MICs were > 2 micrograms/ml. These tentative criteria should be further validated by correlations with clinical trial data for gonococcal strains (as they emerge) that have azithromycin MICs above the proposed susceptible category range.  相似文献

The performance of the Etest for voriconazole and amphotericin B susceptibility testing of 162 isolates of Cryptococcus neoformans was assessed against the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) broth microdilution method. The NCCLS method employed RPMI 1640 broth medium, and MICs were read after incubation for 72 h at 35 degrees C. MICs were determined by Etest for all 162 isolates with RPMI 1640 agar containing 2% glucose (RPG agar) and were read after incubation for 72 h at 35 degrees C. The Etest results for both voriconazole and amphotericin B correlated well with reference MICs. Agreement was 94% for voriconazole and 99% for amphotericin B. When discrepancy was noted between the results obtained by Etest and broth microdilution for voriconazole, the Etest generally provided a higher MIC. The Etest method using RPG agar appears to be a useful method for determining the susceptibility of C. neoformans to voriconazole and amphotericin B.  相似文献

In the present study, five non-beta-lactamase- and five beta-lactamase-producing strains of Haemophilus influenzae were used to determine whether three different growth media, Mueller-Hinton broth and agar, brain heart infusion broth and agar, and tryptic soy broth and agar, and their added supplements (0.2% hemin-0.1% IsoVitaleX, 1% hemin-1% IsoVitaleX, 2% sheep blood, 10% Fildes enrichment, 5% Fildes enrichment, 1% supplement B, 5% horse erythrocytes, and 2% hemoglobin-1% IsoVitaleX) would influence the growth rate of this microorganism and the antibacterial activity of eight antibiotics, including ampicillin, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, cefamandole, erythromycin, trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMX), and cefoperazone. The growth curve studies were carried out with an initial inoculum of 10(4) bacteria per ml, and MICs were determined with an inoculum of 5 X 10(5) microorganisms. Mueller-Hinton broth, brain heart infusion broth, and tryptic soy broth enriched with 5% Fildes resulted in a maximal growth of more than 10(8) CFU/ml at 24 h. When 10% Fildes or 2% sheep blood was added as enrichment to Mueller-Hinton broth, a considerable reduction in the growth rate of H. influenzae strains resulted (P less than 0.01). Significant variations in MICs (P less than 0.01) were observed with chloramphenicol, TMP-SMX, erythromycin, and cefoperazone when brain heart infusion agar, Mueller-Hinton agar, or tryptic soy agar was used. Chloramphenicol, gentamicin, erythromycin, and TMP-SMX were all affected by the different enrichments added to Mueller-Hinton agar. MICs were in general higher with 5% Fildes enrichment and lower with 1% supplement B. Cefoperazone was the only drug which exhibited a lower MIC in 5% Fildes enrichment for ampicillin-resistant H. influenzae strains.  相似文献

The performance of the Etest for itraconazole susceptibility testing of 50 isolates of filamentous fungi was assessed in comparison with the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) proposed standard microdilution broth method. The NCCLS method employed RPMI 1640 broth medium, and MICs were read after incubation for 48 h at 35 degrees C. Etest MICs were determined with RPMI agar containing 2% glucose and with Casitone agar and were read after incubation for 24 h (Aspergillus spp. and Rhizopus spp.) and 48 h (all species except Rhizopus spp.) at 35 degrees C. The isolates included Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Fusarium spp., Pseudallescheria boydii, Rhizopus spp., Paecilomyces variotii, and an Acremonium sp. Overall agreement between Etest and microdilution MICs was 96% with RPMI agar and 80% with Casitone agar. The agreement was 100% for all species except Rhizopus spp. (83%) and Paecilomyces varioti (0%) with RPMI agar. When Casitone agar was used, the agreement ranged from 50% with Rhizopus spp. to 100% with Fusarium spp., P. boydii, P. varioti, and an Acremonium sp. Notably, for Aspergillus spp., the agreement between itraconazole Etest MICs read at 24 h and reference microdilution MICs read at 48 h was 100% with both RPMI and Casitone agar. Both media supported the growth of all filamentous fungi tested. Where a discrepancy was observed between Etest and the reference method, the Etest MIC was generally higher. The Etest method using RPMI agar appears to be a useful method for determining itraconazole susceptibilities of Aspergillus spp. and other filamentous fungi.  相似文献

Telithromycin, the first of the ketolide antimicrobials, has been specifically designed to provide potent activity against common and atypical/intracellular or cell-associated respiratory pathogens, including those that are resistant to β-lactams and/or macrolide–lincosamide–streptograminB (MLSB) antimicrobials. Against Gram-positive cocci, telithromycin possesses more potent activity in vitro and in vivo than the macrolides clarithromycin and azithromycin. It retains its activity against erm -(MLSB) or mef -mediated macrolide-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae and Streptococcus pyogenes and against Staphylococcus aureus resistant to macrolides through inducible MLSB mechanisms. Telithromycin also possesses high activity against the Gram-negative pathogens Haemophilus influenzae and Moraxella catarrhalis , regardless of β-lactamase production. In vitro , it shows similar activity to azithromycin against H. influenzae , while in vivo its activity against H. influenzae is higher than that of azithromycin. Telithromycin's spectrum of activity also extends to the atypical, intracellular and cell-associated pathogens Legionella pneumophila , Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Chlamydia pneumoniae . In vitro , telithromycin does not induce MLSB resistance and it shows low potential to select for resistance or cross-resistance to other antimicrobials. These characteristics indicate that telithromycin will have an important clinical role in the empirical treatment of community-acquired respiratory tract infections.  相似文献

The E Test (AB Biodisk, Solna, Sweden) is a new method for performing antimicrobial susceptibility tests. It consists of an impervious carrier (5- by 50-mm strip) with a predefined antimicrobic gradient which is placed on an inoculated agar plate and processed like a disk diffusion test. Results are generated directly as MICs from a continuous concentration gradient covering 15 twofold dilutions, and MICs are read where the edge of the inhibition zone intersects the strip. We compared the E Test with disk diffusion, broth microdilution, and agar dilution tests by using a challenge set of 195 gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria for 14 antimicrobial agents. Also, disk diffusion, broth microdilution, and agar dilution tests were compared with each other. All test method comparisons gave greater than 94% agreement for the category of susceptibility. The E Test category agreement with disk diffusion and broth microdilution was 95.1%, and with agar dilution it was 95.2%. The E Test results were as reliable as the results obtained by the standard antimicrobial susceptibility testing methods.  相似文献
