A new environmentally friendly cemented oil shale residue–steel slag–ground granulated blast furnace slag backfill (COSGB) was prepared using oil shale residue (OSR), steel slag (SS) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) as constituent materials. Based on univariate analysis and the Box–Behnken design (BBD) response surface method, the three responses of the 28 days unconfined compressive strength (UCS), slump and cost were used to optimize the mix ratio. Using a combination of scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), the reaction products, microscopic morphology and pore structure of the specimens with the optimal mix ratio at different curing ages were analyzed. The influence of heavy metal ions from the raw materials and the COSGB mixtures on the groundwater environment was studied by leaching tests. The research demonstrates that the optimal mix ratio is GGBS mixing amount 4.85%, mass ratio of SS to OSR 0.82, and solid mass concentration 67.69%. At shorter curing age, the hydration products are mainly calcium alumino silicate hydrate (C-A-S-H) and calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gels. With the increase of curing age, ettringite (AFt) and C-S-H gels become the main source of the UCS. Meanwhile, the porosity of the filler decreases continuously. The leaching concentration of heavy metal ions from the COSGB mixtures is all lower than the leaching concentration of raw materials and meet the requirements of the Chinese groundwater quality standard (GB/T 14848-2017). Therefore, this new COSGB cannot pollute the groundwater environment and meets backfill requirements. The proposed technology is a reliable and environmentally friendly alternative for recycling OSR and SS while simultaneously supporting cemented paste backfill (CPB). 相似文献

A novel liquid chitosan-based biocoagulant for treating wastewater from a Moroccan fish processing plant was successfully prepared from shrimp shells (Parapenaeus longirostris), the most abundant fish by-products in the country. The shells were characterized using scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy. Using chitosan without adding acetic acid helps to minimize its negative impact on the environment. At the same time, the recovery of marine shellfish represents a promising solution for the management of solid fish waste. In order to test the treatment efficiency of the biocoagulant developed, a qualitative characterization of these effluents was carried out beforehand. The optimization process was conducted in two steps: jar-test experiments and modeling of the experimental results. The first step covered the preliminary assessment to identify the most influential operational parameters (experimental conditions), whereas the second step concerned the study of the effects of three significant operational parameters and their interactions using a Box–Behnken experimental design. The variables involved were the concentration of coagulant (X1), the initial pH (X2), and the temperature (X3) of the wastewater samples, while the responses were the removal rates of turbidity (Y1) and BOD5 (Y2). The regression models and response surface contour plots revealed that chitosan as a liquid biocoagulant was effective in removing turbidity (98%) and BOD5 (53%) during the treatment. The optimal experimental conditions were found to be an alkaline media (pH = 10.5) and a biocoagulant dose of 5.5 mL in 0.5 L of fish processing wastewater maintained at 20 °C. 相似文献

External damage to buried pipelines is mainly caused by corrosive components in soil solution. The reality that numerous agents are present in the corrosive environment simultaneously makes it troublesome to study. To solve that issue, this study aims to determine the influence of the combination of pH, chloride, and sulfate by using a statistical method according to the design of experiment (DOE). Response surface methodology (RSM) using the Box–Behnken design (BBD) was selected and applied to the design matrix for those three factors. The input corrosion current density was evaluated by electrochemical tests under variable conditions given in the design matrix. The output of this method is an equation that calculates the corrosion current density as a function of pH, chloride, and sulfate concentration. The level of influence of each factor on the corrosion current density was investigated and response surface plots, contour plots of each factor were created in this study. 相似文献

This research examined the drying–wetting cycles induced changes in undrained triaxial shear strength parameters and microstructural changes of Yili loess. The drying–wetting cycles were selected as 0, 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 and 30. Then, we collected Yili loess samples and performed unconsolidated-undrained (U-U) triaxial shearing tests to ascertain the variation in shear strength parameters with drying–wetting cycles. Additionally, we investigated the microstructural changes of Yili loess samples under drying–wetting cycles simultaneously via nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and scanning electron electroscopy (SEM). Finally, we established a grey correlation model between shear strength and microstructural parameters. Under U-U conditions, the prime finding was that the loess’s shear strength parameters changed overall after drying–wetting cycles; in particular, the internal friction angle φ dropped significantly while the cohesion c changed only slightly during cycles. For all the cycles, the first cycle gave the highest change. Soil morphology deterioration was evident at the initial stage of cycles. During the entire drying–wetting cyclic process, pore size distribution showed progressive variance from two-peak to a single-peak pattern, while both porosity and the fractal dimension of pores increased gradually towards stability. Soil particle morphology became slowly simple and reached the equilibrium state after 20 drying–wetting cycles. Under cyclic drying–wetting stress, the shear strength parameter changes were significantly correlated to microstructural modifications. This investigation was related to loess in the westerly region. The findings were expected to provide new insight into establishment of the connection between microstructure and macro stress–strain state of loess. To some extent, it provided a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of loess engineering geological disasters in Yili, Xinjiang and other areas with similar climate and soil types. 相似文献

To explore the effects of thermal actions on the pore structural features of granite, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and mercury injection experiments were carried out on granite after thermal treatment (25 °C to 400 °C). The pore structure was investigated from various perspectives, including the capillary pressure curve, the pore–throat ratio, the median saturation pressure, the median pore–throat radius, the porosity, the pore volume, and the pore size distribution. Based on mercury intrusion test data, the Winland model of permeability prediction was modified for a high-temperature tight granite reservoir. The results showed that: (1) As the temperature rose, the mercury injection curve was gradually flattened, and the mercury ejection efficiency gradually increased. Meanwhile, the pore–throat ratio and the median saturation pressure decreased exponentially, and the pore connectivity was enhanced. (2) The median pore–throat radius and the porosity of granite increased exponentially as the temperature increased. Above 200 °C, the median pore–throat radius and the porosity increased substantially. (3) The pore volumes of the transitional pores, mesopores and macropores, and the total pore volume inside the granite, increased as the temperature rose. Especially above 200 °C, the transitional pores and the mesopores were prominently developed, and the pore volumes of the transitional pores and the mesopores took up a significantly greater proportion of the total pore volume. (4) As the temperature rose, the pore size distribution of granite became more extensive, the pore–throat structure was obviously developed, and the pore–throat connectivity was enhanced. (5) The relationship between the micropores’ characteristic parameters and the macro-permeability in engineering was established though a modified Winland model, and the modified Winland model had a better prediction effect. The findings provide a solid basis for rock geothermal mining projects and related geotechnical engineering. 相似文献

Polypropylene (PP) is an engineered thermoplastic polymer widely used in various applications. This work aims to enhance the properties of PP with the introduction of titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (NPs) as nanofillers. Novel nanocomposite filaments were produced at 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 wt.% filler concentrations, following a melt mixing extrusion process. These filaments were then fed to a commercially available fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printer for the preparation of specimens, to be assessed for their mechanical, viscoelastic, physicochemical, and fractographic properties, according to international standards. Tensile, flexural, impact, and microhardness tests, as well as dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), Raman, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), melt flow volume index (MVR), and atomic force microscopy (AFM), were conducted, to fully characterize the filler concentration effect on the 3D printed nanocomposite material properties. The results revealed an improvement in the nanocomposites properties, with the increase of the filler amount, while the microstructural effect and processability of the material was not significantly affected, which is important for the possible industrialization of the reported protocol. This work showed that PP/TiO2 can be a novel nanocomposite system in AM applications that the polymer industry can benefit from. 相似文献

As a novel kind of cold roller steel, Cr8 alloy steel has the characteristics of high hardness, high wear resistance and good toughness, which can effectively prolong the service life of the roller that is an important part of the steel rolling mill. How to accurately define the constitutive model parameters of metal materials is the major problem, because it seriously affects the accuracy of numerical simulation results of the roller hot forming process. In the study of Cr8 alloy steel’s thermal deformation behavior of the present paper, the high temperature compression test was done on a Gleebel-1500D thermal/force simulation testing machine. A novel method of parameter identification was proposed based on inverse optimization. The Hansel–Spittel constitutive model was established by using the inverse optimization method. To carry out the verification on the accuracy of the established constitutive model, the predicted flow-stress of constitutive model was made a contrast to the experimental flow-stress, and the standard statistical parameters were also applied to further evaluation. The results showed a relatively high prediction accuracy of the Hansel–Spittel constitutive model based on the inverse optimization algorithm. Meanwhile, to obtain optimal parameters of Cr8 alloy steel in the thermal processing, 3D thermal processing maps concerning strain-rate, strain and temperature were built based on the dynamic material model. According to the 3D processing map, the most adequate thermal processing parameters of Cr8 alloy steel were obtianed as follows: strain 0.2–0.4, strain-rate 0.05–0.005 s−1, temperature 1100–1150 °C. 相似文献
