The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention program that combined nutrition education and prevention of disordered eating in a group of female professional dance students. Thirty-two dancers, aged 19-25 years, took part in the program. Evaluation was done by a series of questionnaires that participants were asked to complete on 3 occasions. Assessments of body composition and dietary intake were also performed. Significant improvements in nutrition knowledge as well as a decrease in abnormal eating behavior and dietary restraint were observed at post intervention. At 6-month follow-up, the positive effects were maintained and further benefits were recorded; only nutrition knowledge showed a minor decline. Participants who were at higher risk for adopting abnormal eating behavior benefited the most from the program. These findings encourage the implementation of intervention programs in groups of young women that experience particular pressures for controlling body weight.  相似文献

Male employees from four local worksites were recruited to participate in a short-term and low-intensity nutrition intervention which focused on promoting low-fat dietary habits. The sites were randomized to control conditions or to the intervention programme that consisted of an individualized health risk appraisal, group sessions, mass media activities and environmental changes. Participants were seen before and three months after intervention to measure blood lipids, nutrition knowledge and dietary changes. Eighty-three per cent of all eligible subjects were screened (n = 770) and follow-up measures were obtained for 82%. The score for nutrition knowledge improved significantly in the intervention group. There was also a net reduction in the intake of total calories and in the percentage of energy from total fat. Reported intake of carbohydrates and proteins increased. For all employees assessed, there were no changes in mean total cholesterol level or fatty acid composition. Only among participants with hypercholesterolemia was a significant reduction in blood cholesterol observed. This low-intensity intervention programme achieved some self-reported dietary changes and was successful (at least in part because statistical regression needs to be considered) in obtaining a more short-term beneficial cholesterol level in employees at higher cardiovascular risk.  相似文献

Little is known about the macronutrient intake status of adult Chinese people. This cross-sectional study assessed the macronutrient intake status of adults (aged ≥20 years) by comparing their intake level of macronutrients against the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI). It further explored the associations between macronutrient intake status and age groups, genders, education levels, smoking status, drinking frequency, social classes, knowledge of Chinese Dietary Guidelines 2016 (CDGs), healthy diet priorities, and areas (urban and rural) within two regions (northern and southern). The analysis includes the dietary intake data of 7860 Chinese adults, with complete data entries in the China Health and Nutrition 2011 survey. Dietary data were obtained through the 24 h recall method. More than half had carbohydrate intake below the recommended level of intake, and more than half had fat intake above the recommended level of intake. There were significant associations between three macronutrient intakes and education levels, social classes, healthy diet priorities, areas, and regions. Disparities in macronutrient consumptions revealed geographical and socioeconomic variations in dietary patterns, as well as risks for many different noncommunicable diseases. Public health and nutrition interventions should take notice of regional differences in dietary intake and place more emphasis on vulnerable populations including women, rural residents, and people with lower education level.  相似文献

目的 探讨以IMFeD策略为主的综合干预对孤独症儿童营养素摄入、饮食行为问题以及对孤独症儿童家长营养及饮食相关知识知晓的干预效果。方法 随机选择孤独症儿童49例, 采用24 h膳食回顾法评估患儿营养素摄入情况, 自拟问卷完成儿童饮食及相关行为问题调查。通过对基线调查、3个月随访以及6个月终期调查结果的统计分析, 评价IMFeD对孤独症儿童营养素摄入、饮食行为问题以及家长饮食知识知晓的干预效果。结果 干预完成后, 孤独症儿童饮食行为问题中胃口差、食物偏好、不良进食习惯和家长的不良喂养行为均减少(均为P<0.05);家长营养及饮食知识知晓率由61.3%提升至77.5%;孤独症儿童能量、维生素C、钠、蛋白质、维生素B6、磷、钾、硫胺素和叶酸的摄入水平有显著改善(P均<0.05)。结论 以IMFeD干预策略为主的综合干预手段对改善孤独症儿童的膳食营养素摄入、减少其饮食行为问题、提高家长正确营养及饮食知识知晓率均有明显作用。  相似文献

目的:评价妇女产褥期饮食、行为的营养保健宣教干预效果。方法:选择湖北省城乡地区孕晚期妇女作为研究对象,随机分为干预组和对照组,在干预组中开展产褥期营养保健知识宣教。采用宣教前后知识水平测试,干预组和对照组产褥期饮食、行为及健康状况比较的方法来评价干预效果。结果:干预组对象的营养保健知识水平较宣教前有显著提高;产褥期蔬菜、水果、大豆类等食物摄入量,钙、维生素C等营养素摄入量,做产后体操、洗澡洗头等行为的发生率均明显高于对照组;便秘、手足抽搐、关节痛、恶露时间延长等的发生率均显著低于对照组。结论:多途径、针对性强的宣教方法能有效提高妇女营养保健知识水平,并改善其产褥期饮食、行为及健康状况。  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of a nutrition education intervention for college female athletes to improve nutrition knowledge, build self-efficacy with respect to making healthful dietary choices, and improve dietary intake. DESIGN: A pretest-posttest control group design was implemented. PARTICIPANTS: A women's soccer team (n =15) and a women's swim team (n = 15) were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups, respectively. INTERVENTION: The intervention focused on nutrition knowledge, self-efficacy in making healthful dietary choices, and dietary practices to demonstrate treatment effect. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Dependent variables were nutrition knowledge, self-efficacy, and dietary practices. Independent variables were group assignment. ANALYSES: The Mann-Whitney U test was used to analyze the results between groups, and the Fisher exact probability test was used to detect differences between groups in the number of positive dietary changes. RESULTS: Treatment participants significantly improved nutrition knowledge, self-efficacy (P <.05), and the overall number of positive dietary changes (P <.03). CONCLUSIONS: This study reduces the paucity of nutrition education intervention research among athletes and demonstrates the ability to increase not only nutrition knowledge, which is typically reported, but also self-efficacy and improvement in overall positive dietary changes during an 8-week intervention.  相似文献

Metabolic diseases in China have been on the rise during recent decades. To investigate dietary glycaemic load (GL) and its correlation with the prevalence of metabolic diseases in hospitalised Chinese adults, we analysed the total energy and macronutrient intakes in 1040 patients. Dietary GL was calculated based upon glycaemic index (GI), carbohydrate content and daily intake of individual foods. Dietary patterns at different dietary GL levels and the distribution of dietary GL were analysed in patients from the internal medical departments v. those from surgical departments. Height and weight were measured using a standardised protocol. The present study results demonstrated that in hospitalised adults, 95·5?% of dietary GL came from cereals. Average GL was higher in male patients than in female patients, and was higher in patients from surgical departments than in patients from medical departments. Patients with lower dietary GL consumed inadequate carbohydrates and excessive fats, and therefore had a higher prevalence of overweight and obesity. Dietary GL analysis may be helpful to nutrition assessment and rational diet intervention in hospitalised Chinese patients.  相似文献

The role of nutrition in health and disease is well established. However, more research on this topic is needed to fill gaps in our current knowledge. The Lifelines cohort study, a large Dutch prospective cohort study, was established as a resource for international researchers, aiming to obtain insight into the aetiology of healthy ageing. The study started with 167,729 participants, covering three generations, aiming to follow them for thirty years. This article describes the habitual dietary intake, assessed using the Flower Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), among Lifelines cohort study participants at baseline, stratified by sex and different categories of age, socioeconomic status (SES) and body mass index (BMI). A total of 59,982 adults (23,703 men and 36,279 women), who completed the Flower FFQ and reported plausible habitual dietary intake, were included in the analyses. Median daily energy intake was higher in men (2368 kcal) than in women (1848 kcal), as well as macronutrient intake. Energy and macronutrient intake decreased with increasing age and BMI categories; no differences were observed between SES categories. Intake of most micronutrients was higher in men than in women. Differences were observed between age categories, but not between SES and BMI categories. Food groups were consumed in different amounts by men and women; differences between age, SES and BMI categories were observed as well. The Lifelines cohort study provides extensive dietary intake data, which are generalisable to the general Dutch population. As such, highly valuable dietary intake data are available to study associations between dietary intake and the development of chronic diseases and healthy aging.  相似文献

目的 通过运用中国膳食平衡指数(DBI_16)对山东省18~80岁居民的膳食质量进行整体评价,以指导下一步针对性膳食干预的实施。方法 选取2015年中国成人慢性病与营养监测项目中山东省具有完整膳食与基本信息数据的3 275例18~80岁居民,使用DBI_16评分方法评价其膳食质量。结果 山东省成年居民摄入量严重不足的为蔬菜、水果、奶类、豆类、鱼虾类、蛋类,摄入过量的为食用油和调味品食盐类。居民膳食质量整体上属于中度膳食失衡(DBI_DQD=37.9分)水平,同时处于中度膳食摄入不足(DBI_LBS=27.0分)和低度膳食摄入过量(DBI_HBS=10.9分)水平;农村、男性、鲁西北、60岁以上以及受教育程度较低者膳食摄入过量及膳食不均衡程度较为严重;膳食模式集中于D、E、G、H四种,主要以H模式为主。结论 山东省18~80岁成年居民的膳食摄入情况有待改善,同时存在摄入不足和摄入过量的问题,因此要继续增强平衡膳食相关营养知识的宣传力度,改善居民的营养与健康状况。  相似文献

The purpose of the present study was to estimate and compare the effects of macronutrient composition (relative portions of macronutrients) and of non-macronutrient components (e.g. water and fibre) on energy density (energy per unit weight) of the diets of human subjects. We used standard macronutrient energy content values to develop a simple conceptual model and equation for energy density in terms of % energy from dietary fat and % non-macronutrients by weight. To study these effects in self-selected diets of free-living subjects, we used four consecutive days of self-weighed and recorded food records for thirty-two male and thirteen female free-living adult subjects. In the range of typical human diets, the effect of % non-macronutrients by weight was several times greater than that of % energy from dietary fat, both in absolute terms and relative to daily variation in subjects' diets. Both effects were large enough to be physiologically important. Non-macronutrients (% by weight) alone explained much more of the variation in self-selected dietary energy density either between subjects (R2 95 %) or day-to-day (R2 95 %) than did % energy from dietary fat (R2 5 % and 6 % respectively). Omitting beverages gave similar results. The smaller effect of macronutrient composition on energy density of diets is mainly because alterations in macronutrient composition affect only the portion of typical dietary intake that is macronutrients (one-quarter to one-third of weight). Mathematical methods are also useful in analysing observational data and for separating effects of macronutrient composition and non-macronutrients in intervention studies. These results illustrate the importance of considering non-macronutrients in the design and analysis of experimental or observational dietary data.  相似文献

BackgroundDespite literature supporting the importance of diet during rehabilitation, minimal research quantifies dietary intake during treatment for alcohol use disorder (AUD).ObjectiveThe aim was to quantify dietary intake and energy balance of patients with AUD during inpatient treatment.DesignThis was a secondary analysis of data from a 4-week observational protocol. Participants self-selected food from a room service menu. Dietary intake was recorded by patients and reviewed by nutrition staff. To quantify nutrient and food group intake, data were coded into Nutrition Data Systems for Research software, versions 2016 and 2017. Daily average intake was calculated for all dietary variables.Participants/settingParticipants (n = 22) were adults seeking treatment for AUD at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (Bethesda, MD) between September 2016 and September 2017 and who were enrolled in a study examining the microbiome during AUD rehabilitation. Four participants discontinued protocol participation before study week 4 and were not included in analyses examining change over time.Main outcome measuresWeight change, daily energy, and macronutrient and select micronutrient intakes were the main outcome measures included.Statistical analyses performedMean differences in intake and weight were assessed using nonparametric tests.ResultsSixty-four percent of participants were male; mean ± SD age was 46.3 ± 13.0 years, mean ± SD body mass index (calculated as kg/m2) was 23.9 ± 2.5, and mean intake was 2,665 kcal/d (consisting of 45.9% carbohydrate, 34.9% fat, and 19.1% protein). Eighty percent or more of this sample met the Estimated Average Requirement for 10 of 16 micronutrients assessed. Male participants consumed more energy than estimated needs (P = .003) and gained a mean ± SD of 2.67 ± 1.84 kg (P = .006) when an outlier with weight loss and acute pancreatitis was removed from analysis. Female participants did not gain weight or consume more than estimated energy needs.ConclusionsOverall macronutrient intake was within recommended ranges, but intake of other dietary components and weight gain were variable, supporting the need for individualized nutrition care during AUD treatment.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Parenteral nutrition (PN) is a common supportive care therapy in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Inadequate oral dietary intake may necessitate prolonged courses of PN, which have been associated with metabolic, infectious, and hepatobiliary complications. The objective of this study was to identify demographic, clinical, and nutrition factors associated with the resumption of oral dietary intake following HSCT. METHODS: This was an observational cohort study of 37 children undergoing allogeneic HSCT. Repeated-measures regression analysis was performed to identify factors associated with the resumption and macronutrient composition of oral nutrient intake after HSCT. RESULTS: Mean oral dietary intake during the first 2 weeks after HSCT was <280 kcal/d. At all times, oral carbohydrate intake was high, ranging from 58% to 74% of oral energy. Age, time since transplant, degree of oral mucositis, and severity of graft-vs-host disease (GVHD) were all significantly correlated with the resumption of oral energy intake, as well as oral intake of carbohydrates. Oral protein and fat intake were also associated with elapsed time since HSCT, severity of mucositis, and GVHD. Factors not associated with oral dietary intake included gender, pre-HSCT nutrition status, diagnosis, type of donor, and infections. CONCLUSIONS: Children undergoing HSCT exhibit a marked reduction in oral dietary intake and a preference for a diet high in carbohydrates. Careful attention should be directed to the oral dietary intake and nutrient requirements of children during HSCT, especially in younger patients and those who experience severe mucositis or GVHD.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The optimal nutrition approach for the promotion of weight gain in HIV-infected adults with wasting remains unclear. Previous dietary interventions report minimal success and provide inadequate information regarding the counseling approach, contact time, session format, and issues addressed with the subject. The methods we report were incorporated in a 12-week intervention trial for the reversal of HIV-wasting. METHODS: All subjects involved in the intervention trial for the reversal of HIV-wasting received weekly, customized, one-on-one counseling and an oral nutrition supplement (480 kcal/d with 30 g protein). The nutrition aims were to (1) increase caloric intake to surpass daily energy requirements by 500 kcal/d (suggested caloric intake: 40 to 50 kcal/kg current weight); (2) increase protein intake (1.6 to 1.8 g/kg current weight per day); and (3) identify foods that may exacerbate or curtail side effects associated with HIV. Also assessed were preconceptions, nutrition knowledge level and primary information source, and obstacles to healthy eating. Sessions, conducted by a nutritionist in an interactive, action-oriented learning approach, ranged from 30 to 60 minutes. RESULTS: At baseline, subjects harbored many misconceptions, reported numerous HIV-related side effects, and lacked practical nutrition strategies, all of which interfered with weight maintenance and health. The protocol strategies were acceptable to the patients (87% subjects completed all visits), with marked improvements in dietary intake, weight, and body composition, both during and after intervention. CONCLUSIONS: We describe a customized nutrition intervention that produces changes in energy intake, maintenance of appropriate protein intake, and the reversal of unintentional weight loss over 5 to 15 months. Sustained improvements occurred across a socioeconomically diverse population, despite persistent disease- and medication-associated side effects.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the short-term effect of dietary counselling in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia and evaluate the effects of advised nutrient changes. DESIGN: A prospective dietary intervention study in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia from January I st 1988 to December 31 st 1996 according to the Dutch guidelines for a healthy diet. Before and after the dietary intervention period of 12 weeks, 24h food recalls were used to assess dietary intake and macronutrient composition. Effectiveness was evaluated by assessment of body weight, serum lipids, lipoproteins and insulin resistance parameters. SETTING: Leiden outpatient Lipid Clinic. SUBJECTS: Forty-five newly diagnosed, untreated patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. RESULTS: A significant reduction in energy intake and body weight as well as changes in macronutrient composition were observed. Total serum triacylglycerol and cholesterol levels decreased by 31% and 15%, respectively. No effects were observed on serum glucose and insulin levels. Weight reduction was significantly correlated with reduction of total plasma triacylglycerol levels and inversely correlated with changes in HDL cholesterol levels. Of all nutrients assessed, only reduction of alcohol intake correlated with improvement of total serum triacylglycerol. CONCLUSIONS: Short-term dietary counselling in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia can effectively improve serum lipid and lipoprotein levels. With regard to the advised nutrient changes, weight loss and limitation of alcohol intake prove to be the best predictors of triacylglycerol reduction.  相似文献

目的了解兰州地区18~25岁医学生的膳食结构,为进一步进行营养干预提供依据。方法采用记帐法结合24h膳食回顾法、称重法对252名医学生进行连续5d的膳食调查。结果医学生膳食构成的食物种类较齐全,以谷类、薯类为主,但男、女生蔬菜摄入量分别达到参考摄入量的32.8%和30.4%,男生水果类、乳类摄入量分别只能达到参考摄入量的12.0%和49.0%,女生鱼禽肉类、蛋类摄入量分别只能达到参考摄入量的70.7%和65.0%,男、女生三餐外纯能量食物摄入量分别占全天纯能量食物摄入量的15.1%和18.2%。结论医学生膳食结构的进一步完善应以树立平衡膳食、合理营养的理念教育,结合必要的营养强化补充为思路。  相似文献

目的了解宜兴市初中生营养知识、态度及饮食行为状况,为开展营养干预工作提供基线资料。方法采用KAP问卷对宜兴市1190名初一至初三年级学生进行营养问卷调查。结果在满分为10分的营养知识测试中,学生平均得分为4.40分,得分随着年级增高而升高,且城乡差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。大部分学生具有良好的饮食习惯,对食物多样化、蔬菜水果、奶类的认同率也较高,但蔬菜的食用频率、摄入量仍偏低。结论宜兴市初中生营养知识、态度和饮食行为存在一定程度的不足,有针对性地开展综合性的营养干预十分必要。  相似文献

Adolescent high-performance gymnasts are considered to be at risk for low energy intake. The aim of the present study was to determine the effects of implementing a nutritional education program during the sports season on the nutritional status and nutrition knowledge of the female artistic gymnasts from the Technification Center of the Balearic Islands (n = 24; age, 14.1 ± 2.3 years). A quasi-experimental intervention design was applied, which consisted of implementing a nutritional education program of seven sessions given during eight months. Measurements of nutritional intake, nutrition knowledge, and anthropometric parameters, as well as hematological and biochemical blood parameters, were performed. Gymnasts reported low energy and carbohydrate intakes, with significant increases during the study (energy, 28.3 ± 1.4 vs. 32.8 ± 1.4 kcal kg−1, p = 0.015, carbohydrate 3.2 ± 0.2 vs. 3.9 ± 0.2 g kg−1, p = 0.004). The average values for parameters such as hemoglobin, ferritin, lipoprotein, and vitamin C and E levels in the plasma were within normal ranges. Low intakes of most of the food groups were observed during the study, with similar initial and final values. Nutrition knowledge did not change as a result of the study (28.0 ± 1.7 vs. 31.1 ± 1.3, p = 0.185). In conclusion, gymnasts reported low energy intakes. However, blood markers and most of the anthropometrical parameters measured were within normal ranges. The nutrition education program implemented did not produce significant improvements in the dietary habits or nutritional knowledge of gymnasts.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of an 8-week worksite nutrition education intervention for university staff using the Health Belief Model (HBM) to promote healthful dietary behaviors that reduce risks for cardiovascular disease and cancer. DESIGN: 2 3 2 repeated measures baseline/posttest ex post facto research design. PARTICIPANTS: Staff employees were randomly assigned to treatment (n = 28) and control groups (n = 25). INTERVENTION: The intervention focused on specific health beliefs, nutrition knowledge, and dietary practices to demonstrate treatment effect. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Dependent variables were specific health beliefs, nutrition knowledge, and dietary behaviors. Independent variables were demographic characteristics and group assignment. ANALYSES: Tests of parametric assumptions, power analyses, analysis of variance, and Kuder-Richardson and Pearson product-moment coefficients were computed and specificity of treatment effects was assessed. RESULTS: Perceived benefits of healthy nutrition practices and nutrition knowledge related to cardiovascular disease and cancer significantly improved among the treatment participants, P <.001. Treatment group participants also significantly reduced total calories, fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol intake (each P <.001). CONCLUSIONS: The intervention appears to be related to treatment effects and significantly increased nutrition knowledge and decreased energy, fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol intake to levels consistent with national recommendations.  相似文献
