Background and Aims: Slow wave (SW) is an essential component in mediating stomach motility. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the SW characteristics in subjects with stomach remnant. Methods: We consecutively enrolled 58 distal radical subtotal gastrectomy (RSG) patients (male/female: 44/14, age: 33–79 years) to receive an electrogastrographic (EGG) measurement. Their Helicobacter pylori status and dyspeptic score were simultaneously assessed. In addition, EGG data of 58 age‐ and sex‐matched healthy subjects were compared. Based on power spectral analysis, the following EGG parameters were derived: dominant frequency (DF)/power (DP), percentage of normal rhythm (2–4 cpm), power ratio (PR) referring the postprandial power change, etc. Results: Visual analysis occasionally found a short period of ~11 cpm myoelectricity‐like rhythm. Distal RSG patients had lower fasting (1.90 ± 0.69 vs 2.97 ± 0.58 cpm, P < 0.001) and postprandial (2.03 ± 0.72 vs 3.35 ± 0.27 cpm, P < 0.001) DF values, while their fasting (36.2 ± 22.3% vs 67.1 ± 23.4%, P < 0.001) and postprandial (33.4 ± 19.9% vs 82.2 ± 16.7%, P < 0.001) percentages of normal rhythms were diminished. In contrast, fasting DP, its meal response and PR (2.99 ± 2.40 vs 2.45 ± 2.63, NS) were comparable to those of controls. Neither gender, age, type of gastroenterostomy, Helicobacter pylori colonization, dyspeptic score nor elapsed time after surgery had an obvious influence on EGG parameters. Conclusions: Distal RSG patients may have decreased SW frequency and less meal ingestion changed EGG parameters in terms of SW frequency, normality and stability, whereas their EGG power remained unchanged irrespective of meal ingestion.  相似文献

We designed a new three-channel electrogastrographic (EGG) system, which was easily operated on the Windows 95 platform and could automatically provide slow wave parameters. The purpose of the present study was to test its reliability and accuracy in clinical recording. The system included a signal acquisition device assembled on a printed circuit board. Recorded myoelectrical signals were filtered, amplified, digitized, and transmitted via this device into a notebook personal computer (PC). Based on the short-term Fourier transform the software could transfer the time domain of the signal into the frequency domain. Real-time displayed slow wave parameters, including dominant frequency/power, percent of normal frequency (2–4 cpm), instability coefficient in frequency/power, and power ratio, were automatically renewed every 64 s. Twenty healthy subjects (M/F, 12/8; age, 23–51 years) were enrolled to measure both fast and postprandial myoelectrical activities for each 30-min recording. Our results indicated that meal ingestion significantly increased dominant frequency (3.15 ± 0.20 vs 3.23 ± 0.23 cpm; P < 0.05) and power (26.1 ± 3.8 vs 28.4 ± 3.9 dB; P < 0.05). The power ratio of the meal effect was 2.02 ± 2.07. Other parameters, including instability coefficient and percent of normal frequency, remained similar despite food ingestion. This newly designed EGG system is acceptable for clinically measuring gastric myoelectrical activity; the real-time display of many EGG parameters is an advantage with this new system. Gastric myoelectrical activity modulates gastric motor activity. Abnormalities in gastric myoelectrical activity may be associated with gastric motility disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation of gastric myoelectrical activity with gastric emptying in symptomatic patients with and without gastroparesis. Ninety-seven patients with symptoms suggestive of gastroparesis participated in the study. Gastric myoelectrical activity was recorded using surface electrogastrography. The electrogastrogram (EGG) was recorded for 30 min in the fasting state and for 120 min after a solid test meal. Gastric emptying of the solid meal was simultaneously monitored for 120 min. Patients with delayed gastric emptying showed a significantly lower percentage of normal gastric slow waves (P<0.03) and a significantly reduced increase of the dominant power in the postprandial EGG (P<0.02). Postprandial EGG parameters were found to be able to predict delayed emptying of the stomach. Postprandial gastric dysrhythmia predicts delayed gastric emptying with an accuracy of 78%, while the abnormality in postprandial EGG power predicts delayed gastric emptying with an accuracy of 75%. All patients with abnormalities in both the rhythmicity and the power had delayed gastric emptying. Patients with delayed gastric emptying have a lower percentage of normal gastric slow waves in the EGG and a lower postprandial increase in the dominant power. Abnormalities in the postprandial EGG seem to be able to predict delayed emptying of the stomach. However, a normal EGG does not seem to guarantee normal emptying of the stomach.  相似文献

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Slow wave is essential to initiate gastrointestinal tract motility. Subjects with total gastrectomy (TG) provide an opportunity to study small intestinal slow wave in the absence of stomach interference. The aims of this study were to determine the origin of 3 cycles per min (cpm) slow wave recorded via electrogastrogram (EGG) and the characteristics of putative small intestinal slow waves in TG subjects. METHODS: Thirty-three subjects with TG (25 male, age: 44-83 years) were consecutively enrolled. In each subject, the myoelectricity-like signals of the gastrointestinal tract were recorded using 3-channel EGG. Fourier transform-based spectral analysis was performed to derive the EGG parameters including dominant frequency/power, % normal rhythm (2-4 cpm), and power ratio. RESULTS: Neither visual nor spectral analysis of the EGG revealed any waves at a frequency of about 3 cpm. The most frequently observed peaks in the power spectra of all subjects were those at approximately 1, approximately 6 and approximately 11 cpm with occurrences of 97%, 6.1% and 90.9%, respectively. Based on visual analysis of all recorded signals, the approximately 11 cpm signal was exactly rhythmically recorded rather than the approximately 1 cpm. The recorded approximately 11 cpm wave had a frequency of 10.9 +/- 1.0 cpm in the fasting state and 10.9 +/- 1.3 cpm in the fed state (NS), and a power of 31.5 +/- 3.2 dB in the fasting state and 35.2 +/- 3.8 dB in the fed state (P < 0.0001). None of other factors, including sex, age, and body mass index, had any impact on this approximately 11 cpm wave. CONCLUSIONS: Small intestinal slow wave can be recorded non-invasively using EGG via cutaneous electrodes in TG subjects. Sex, age and body mass index have no effect on the intestinal slow waves. The power rather than frequency of intestinal slow wave is increased after a solid meal.  相似文献

It is not clear whether the power increase in electrogastrography (EGG) after meal or water ingestion reflects increases in gastric motility or gastric distension bringing the stomach closer to the electrodes on the abdominal skin surface. We recorded EGG and real-time ultrasonography simultaneously before and after 150-ml water ingestion in 17 healthy volunteers. We calculated gastric power, by spectral analysis of EGG by the maximum entropy method, for 400 s before and after water ingestion, and calculated their ratio (power ratio). We calculated, using sonography, the number of antral contractions before and after water ingestion, the motility index after water ingestion, the distance between the antrum and the abdominal skin surface before and after water ingestion, and the ratio of these distances (distance ratio). The number of contractions was positively correlated with gastric power before water ingestion, and the antrum-skin distance was negatively correlated with gastric power both before and after water ingestion. The motility index after water ingestion was positively correlated with both gastric power after water ingestion (Spearman's rank correlation r = 0.492; P = 0.0498) and the power ratio (r = 0.615; P = 0.0141). There was no correlation between the distance ratio and the power ratio. These results suggest that the power increase in EGG induced by water ingestion does not reflect the approach of the antrum to the abdominal surface, but rather, reflects antral motility after water ingestion. It is known that distension of the rectum induces gastric hypomotility and delays gastric emptying. Its effect on gastrointestinal myoelectrical activity has not been well studied, however. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of rectal distension on gastrointestinal myoelectrical activity in dogs. Six hound dogs implanted with electrodes on the serosa of the stomach and proximal jejunum were studied. The protocol consisted of a 30-min baseline recording and another 30-min recording during rectal distension. Gastric myoelectrical activity was severely impaired by rectal distension. The dominant power was significantly decreased from –2.79 ± 0.52 dB at baseline to –4.84 ± 1.26 dB during distension (P < 0.05). The percentage of normal 4–6 cycles per minute gastric slow waves was reduced from 95.08 ± 1.11% to 83.63 ± 4.00% (P < 0.02), and the percentage of tachygastria was increased during distension (0.33 ± 0.19% vs 6.03 ± 1.27%, P < 0.02). The instability coefficient of the dominant frequency was significantly increased (0.134 ± 0.012 vs 0.326 ± 0.074, P < 0.05). The percentage of slow wave coupling was reduced from 93.99 ± 0.76% to 73.43 ± 2.07% (P < 0.00003). In the small bowel, only the instability coefficient of dominant frequency showed a significant increase during distension. Other parameters were not affected by rectal distension. We conclude that rectal distension severely impairs gastric myoelectrical activity. The induced gastric dysrhythmia and reduced slow wave amplitude and coupling may be the underlying pathophysiology of gastric hypomotility and delayed gastric emptying observed during rectal distension.  相似文献

BACKGROUND AND AIM: Proton pump inhibitor treatment is effective for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It is unknown whether these agents effect any change in the stomach myoelectricity of GERD patients. Electrogastrographic (EGG) recording was used to study the probable effect of omeprazole on GERD patients. METHODS: Nineteen endoscopically confirmed GERD patients and 38 dyspepsia-free controls were invited to receive EGG recording. After daily omeprazole treatment for 4 weeks, the symptomatic response of GERD patients was scaled, healing of erosive esophagitis was endoscopically assessed, and EGG recording was repeated for comparison. RESULTS: Before treatment, GERD patients and controls displayed similar dominant frequency, whereas the former had higher dominant power compared with controls, either in fasting (29.2 +/- 6.0 dB compared with 25.3 +/- 3.8 dB, P < 0.01) or postprandial (31.9 +/- 5.6 dB compared with 27.7 +/- 3.8 dB, P < 0.001) recording. They also had diminished percentile normal rhythm (2-4 c.p.m.), irrespective of fasting (40.2 +/- 14.5% compared with 65.8% +/- 23.5%, P < 0.001) or postprandial (47.5 +/- 23.3% compared with 77.9 +/- 16.8%, P < 0.001) recording. After omeprazole treatment, healing was achieved in 12 patients (63.2%). Among the abnormal EGG parameters, only the postprandial percentile normal rhythm was restored (47.5 +/- 23.3% compared with 65.2 +/- 20.8%, P < 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: Gastroesophageal reflux disease patients may have obvious dysrhythmia and higher myoelectrical power. Effective omeprazole treatment only improves the postprandial myoelectrical regularity, whereas abnormal EGG parameters remain impaired.  相似文献

We have assembled an electrogastrographic device based on the main components of amplifiers, a band-pass filter, an analogue/digital converter, low band-pass digital filters and a personal computer. The analysis software uses autoregressive moving average modelling to compute the frequency of slow waves and uses fast Fourier transformation for power spectral computation. Twenty healthy young male volunteers were enrolled in the study to test meal-elicited responses of the slow wave. Subjects underwent a 15 min recording while fasting and then a standard breakfast, which included 250 mL milk and a cake with a total of 1.45 kj, was ingested within 5 min. The post-prandial 15 min recording was immediately resumed after the meal. A slight but significant increase in the frequency of slow waves was seen in post-prandial measurements (mean ± s.d., 0.0506±0.0005 vs 0.0497±0.0005 Hz; P<0.0001). Moreover, a significant enhancement of the power of slow waves was elicited following the meal (36.0±3.1 vs 27.6±3.1 dB; P<0.0001). We conclude that this assembled electrogastrographic device is a reliable means of monitoring gastric myoelectrical activity because the phenomenon of post-prandial responses of slow waves in either frequency or power is well demonstrated.  相似文献

Using a homemade electrogastrography (EGG) system, we studied the characteristics of the myoelectrical rhythm in Chinese patients with nonulcer dyspepsia (NUD). Based on short-term Fourier transformation, recorded slow waves could be automatically analyzed to obtain the following parameters: dominant frequency/power, percent of normal frequency (2–4 cpm), power ratio, etc. EGG parameters, Helicobacter pylori status, histological examination of gastric mucosa, and dyspeptic symptoms were recorded in 27 NUD patients. Compared to 32 healthy controls, the Chinese NUD patients had abnormal postprandial EGG parameters including a lower percentage of regular 2–4 cpm slow waves (70.10 ± 2.97% vs 79.08 ± 2.95%, P < 0.05), a lower level of increment of dominant power (0.62, ± 0.91 vs 3.76 ± 0.58 dB, P < 0.05), lower power ratio (1.42 ± 0.28 vs 2.79 ± 0.39, P < 0.05) and a higher instability coefficient (0.36 ± 0.03 vs 0.26 ± 0.03, P < 0.05). However, Helicobacter pylori infection and its associated gastritis did not influence any EGG parameters in NUD patients. Six main dyspeptic symptoms and total symptom score had no correlation with any EGG parameters. In conclusion, Chinese NUD patients may have abnormal postprandial stomach myoelectrical activity, but these EGG abnormalities are not a direct result of Helicobacter pylori infection and its related gastritis and do not contribution to the dyspeptic symptoms.  相似文献

Although extensively investigated throughout the gastrointestinal tract, the influence of alcohol on gastric motility is still unclear. Our aim was to investigate the effect of wine on gastric myoelectrical activity and vagal activity. Ten healthy subjects were studied in two sessions with the electrogastrogram (EGG) for 30 min at baseline, 30 min after ingesting the test liquid [white wine (12.5% alcohol) or matched juice], and 60 min after a standard test meal. Spectral analysis was performed to compute EGG parameters and their postprandial changes. The vagal activity was assessed based on spectral analysis of the heart rate variability (HRV) signal derived from the ECG recording. White wine preload significantly diminished the postprandial increase in EGG dominant power compared to juice preload (1.16 ± 1.57 vs 5.48 ± 1.01 dB, P < 0.001). A significant decrease in vagal activity was observed after wine (23.40 ± 4.30 vs 17.43 ± 3.40%, P < 0.005), which remained unchanged after the test meal (23.40 ± 4.30 vs 16.77 ± 4.40%, P < 0.05). This decrease was not noted in the juice session. A correlation was established between changes after wine consumption in EGG dominant power and in the percentage of the vagal activity (r = 0.89, P < 0.05). In conclusion, white wine preload inhibits the postprandial EGG dominant power, suggesting a possible inhibition of postprandial gastric contractions. This effect may be associated with diminished vagal activity.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation of gastric emptying with gastric myoelectrical activity recorded from internal serosal electrodes and with gastric motility measured from strain gauges. The study was performed in eight healthy dogs chronically implanted with four pairs of electrodes and two strain gauges on the gastric serosa and equipped with a duodenal fistula for the assessment of gastric emptying. Each dog was fed four liquid test meals on four separate days with identical calories (320 kcal) and volume (473 ml). A correlation was found between gastric emptying and the energy of contraction in the frequency band of 3.75–7.50 cycles/min during the first 30 min after the meal (r = 0.46, P < 0.05). While none of the parameters of gastric myoelectrical activity was correlated with gastric emptying, two major parameters, percentage of regular gastric slow waves and percentage of slow-wave coupling, were found to be associated with delayed gastric emptying. A significant correlation was found between the frequency of gastric slow waves and that of the contractions in both fasting (r = 0.83, P < 0.001) and fed state (r = 0.70, P < 0.001 at 30 min, r = 0.86, P < 0.001 at 60 min). It was concluded that gastric emptying is correlated with the strength of gastric contractions in a frequency range identical to that of the gastric slow waves, and there is no one-to-one correlation between gastric emptying of liquids and any parameters of gastric myoelectrical activity. However, major parameters of gastric myoelectrical activity are associated with gastric emptying.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to characterize multichannel surface electrogastrography (EGG) recordings in patients with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma, SSc) compared to normal controls. Ten SSc patients and 13 healthy age-matched controls were enrolled in this study. Gastric myoelectrical activity was recorded using a four-channel electrogastrograph with abdominal surface electrodes. The EGG was recorded in the morning for 1 hr in the fasting state, and 1 hr after a standardized (500 kcal) test meal. It was found that: (1) The regularity of the gastric slow wave was significantly lower in the SSc patients when compared with the normal controls in both fasting and fed states. (2) There was a significantly higher incidence of bradygastria in the SSc patients. (3) The SSc patients showed a significantly lower percentage of slow wave coupling among the four-channel EGGs than the controls. (4) In comparison with the controls, the patients showed an impaired spatial distribution of gastric slow wave power in both fasting and fed states and an impaired spatial distribution of slow wave frequency in the fasting state. It was concluded that SSc patients have an abnormal gastric slow wave as shown in the multichannel EGG as a decreased percentage of normal slow waves and impaired spatial coordination of gastric slow waves. The multichannel EGG may serve as a simple, noninvasive, and cost-effective method to assess gastric motility disorders and their relevance in patients with SSc.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: It has been suggested that endoscopy could be replaced with non-invasive assessment of helicobacter status in the initial work up of young dyspeptic patients without sinister symptoms. AIMS: To determine the incidence of gastro-oesophageal malignancy in young dyspeptic patients. METHODS: The Alberta Endoscopy Project captured clinical and demographic data on all endoscopies performed from April 1993 to February 1996 at four major adult hospitals in Alberta. The endoscopic and histological diagnosis in a subgroup of patients under 45 years of age without alarm symptoms that had undergone gastroscopy was reviewed. In addition, a random list of 200 patients was generated and their medical records reviewed in order to assess the proportion with symptoms suitable for a non-invasive management strategy. RESULTS: Gastroscopy was performed in 7004 patients under 45 years. In 3634 patients (56% female) alarm type symptoms were absent; 78.9% of patients had symptoms amenable to a non-invasive initial approach, giving a corrected sample size of 2867 patients (correction factor 0.789). Three gastric cancers, one case of moderate dysplasia, 10 biopsy proved cases of Barrett's oesophagus, and 19 oesophageal strictures/rings were detected within this sample. The corrected prevalence of gastric cancer in this select population was 1.05 per thousand patients. DISCUSSION: Endoscopy yielded three gastric cancers in this sample of under 45 year old dyspeptic patients without sinister symptoms. While initial non-invasive screening with one-week triple therapy for helicobacter positive individuals is unlikely to have a detrimental outcome the physician is advised to consider endoscopy in patients with persisting, recurrent, or sinister symptoms.  相似文献

The electrical and motor activities of the stomach were studied in the early postoperative phase after abdominal surgery by means of surface recording techniques: electrogastrography (EGG) and impedance gastrography (IGG). EGG and IGG recordings were made pre-operatively and on the first and second postoperative days. Physical signs and symptoms related to gastrointestinal motility were assessed. Two patient groups were studied; a group of patients undergoing cholecystectomy (n = 9) was compared with a group with major colonic surgery (n = 14). After colonic surgery, resumption of a normal oral diet was later and nausea and vomiting were seen more frequently than after cholecystectomy. Other physical signs concerning intestinal motility did not differ between the groups. Gastric myo-electrical activity (0.04-0.06 Hz), recorded electrogastrographically, tended to decrease in the postoperative phase in both groups, and return to pre-operative values later in the colonic surgery group. However, none of the differences reached statistical significance. Abnormal gastric activity (tachyarrhythmia) was observed in one pre-operative patient but in 6 patients (2 cholecystectomy, 4 colonic surgery) after operation. IGG variables were not significantly affected by the operation and were not significantly different between the groups. No correlation between the symptoms nausea and vomiting in the postoperative phase and the incidence of tachyarrhythmias could be demonstrated in this study. It is concluded that antral myo-electrical and motor activity, measured with non-invasive techniques (EGG and IGG), are not grossly abnormal on the first and second postoperative day after abdominal surgery. It is further concluded that abnormal gastric frequencies do not appear to play a major role in the genesis of postoperative nausea and vomiting.  相似文献

Cold or emotional stress was reported to affect gastric myoelectrical activity. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of music or noise on gastric myoelectrical activity and autonomic function in healthy volunteers.

Material and methods

The study was performed in 10 fasted healthy volunteers and included 30 min at baseline, 30 min of classical music via headphones and 30 min of loud household noises via headphones. The electrogastrogram (EGG) readings were recorded simultaneously with the electrocardiogram (ECG) recording.

Results

Both classical music and noise altered the regularity of gastric slow waves. The percentage of normal 2–4 cycles/min (cpm) waves was reduced from 77.9±4.7% at baseline to 66.9±5.4% during music (p<0.006) and 67.7±5.4% during noise (p<0.05). The reduction was attributed to a significant increase in bradygastria (15.8±3.9% versus 9.8±2.6%, p<0.04) with the music and a significant increase in arrhythmia (7.4±1.6% versus 2.0±1.1%, p<0.02) with the noise. The dominant frequency and power of the EGG were, however, not altered with either music or noise. Neither music nor noise had any effect on the autonomic function assessed by the heart rate variability.

Conclusions

Audio stimulation, with both music and noise, alters the rhythmicity of gastric slow waves. Classical music seems to increase bradygastria, whereas, household noise may increase arrhythmia. The effect of audio stimulation on the gastric slow wave does not seem to involve sympathetic or vagal efferent pathways assessed by the spectral analysis of heart rate variability.  相似文献

Background. Gastric cancer is still the most common malignant tumor in Koreans. Although many reports have supported the association of Helicobacter pylori infection and the development of gastric cancer, few studies have been adjusted by variable factors such as age, sex, education, and economic status. Furthermore, most results from areas with a high incidence of gastric cancer, such as China and Korea, have failed to document any relationship between H. pylori infection and gastric cancer. We conducted a prospective case-controlled study, with controls matched for and adjusted by age, sex, education, and economic status, to evaluate the causal relationship between H. pylori infection and gastric cancer in Korean people. Methods. From March 1997 to October 1998, 136 consecutive patients with gastric cancer, diagnosed by endoscopic histology, and 136 age- and sex-matched control subjects, confirmed to be free of gastric cancer by endoscopy during the same period, were enrolled in the study. The presence of H. pylori infection was determined by enzyme immunoassay (EIA) serology test. Results. Seventy-two of the 136 gastric cancer patients (53%) were positive for H. pylori infection and 54 of the 136 control subjects (40%) were positive for H. pylori infection. The odds ratio (OR), adjusted by variable risk factors, such as age, sex, education, and economic status, for gastric cancer in H. pylori-infected patients was 1.82 (95% confidence internal [CI], 1.10–3.00; P = 0.019). The age- and sex-matched OR by conditional logistic regression was 1.6 (95% CI, 1.01–2.53; P = 0.043). Conclusions. H. pylori infection may be one of the important risk factors for the development of gastric cancer in Korea, an area of high prevalence of H. pylori infection and a high incidence of gastric cancer. BACKGROUND AND AIMS: Infection with Helicobacter pylori is associated with an increased risk of gastric adenocarcinoma. However, most patients with H. pylori infection will not develop gastric cancer. The aims of the present study were to examine which histological features, including H. pylori infection, would increase the risk of gastric cancer using a case-control study. METHODS: Three gastric biopsy specimens were taken from 72 patients with early gastric cancer and 72 age- and sex-matched control subjects. The grade of gastritis was examined according to the updated Sydney System. The presence of H. pylori infection was determined by serology and histology. Odds ratio (OR) of developing gastric cancer was calculated for H. pylori positivity and histological features using conditional logistic regression. For patients with H. pylori infection, histological features in cancer patients and control subjects were compared. RESULTS: The OR of the presence of mononuclear cell infiltration in the corpus and intestinal metaplasia in the angulus were significantly elevated. The grade of mononuclear cell infiltration in the corpus and antrum was significantly higher in both types of cancer patients than controls. Glandular atrophy and intestinal metaplasia were increased in patients with intestinal-type cancer in the angulus and antrum. Bacterial density in the corpus and polymorphonuclear cell infiltration in the antrum were increased in patients with diffuse-type cancer. CONCLUSIONS: Severe chronic gastritis induced by H. pylori infection seems to be associated with diffuse-type gastric cancer. Glandular atrophy and intestinal metaplasia, which occur in gastric mucosa with chronic inflammation, are significantly associated with intestinal-type cancer.  相似文献

This study assessed the reliability of an improved electrogastrographic (EGG) system in recording stomach myoelectrical parameters and tried to establish the normal ranges of myoelectricity using this system. The analytical software of the current system mainly included an autoregressive modelling program to compute myoelectrical frequency and power. Forty healthy subjects were enrolled to receive myoelectrical measurement in two consecutively fasting and one postprandial 30 min sessions. The myoelectrical frequencies in both fasting and postprandial sessions were almost three cycles per min (c.p.m.) and showed little variation. The percentage of dominant frequencies (2.5–3.5 c.p.m.) in three sessions was approximately 80% while the computed myoelectrical powers in the first and second fasting sessions exhibited a significant correlation ( r = 0.84, P < 0.001). Meal ingestion increased the myoelectrical powers by 6.8 dB compared with the second fasting recording ( P < 0.001). The mean variation in myoelectrical amplitude for the ratio of second: first fasting session was 110.3 ± 88.8% (16–478%, median 88%). This new EGG system is, indeed, reliable for measuring myoelectrical frequency and power, whereas the interassay of recorded amplitudes appears markedly variable.  相似文献
