INTRODUCTION: Diabetic kidney disease(DKD) is one of the most common microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus and is the leading cause of end-stage renal disease. DKD seriously affects the quality of life of patients and brings heavy economic burden to the country. At present, the pathogenesis of DKD is not entirely clear, and clinical treatment is mainly to control blood glucose and lower blood pressure and urine protein. However, the clinical effect is not satisfactory.CASE PRESENTATION: A female patient, aged 72 years, first visited our hospital endocrinology clinic, and was diagnosed with DKD. She suffered from fatigue, cold sensation in the lower extremities, convulsion of the lower limbs and frequent urination at night. She had a dark purple tongue with white and yellow fur and sublingual varices. Accessory examinations showed that her fasting blood glucose was 5.7 mmol/L, serum creatinine 159 μmol/L,blood urea nitrogen 13.6 μmol/L, blood uric acid493 μmol/L, and blood pressure 138/65 mm Hg.The patient received Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment of the modified Shenzhuo formula[Huangqi(Radix Astragali Mongolici), Dahuang(Radix Et Rhizoma Rhei Palmati), Shuizhi(Hirudo) and Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)] for 7 years and achieved good results.CONCLUSION: This case provides a specific treatment plan and an effective reference for clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine for treating DKD. This may be an alternative treatment for DKD.  相似文献

The Su Wen · Tiao Jing Lun (《素问·调经论》, Plain Questions · Theory of Regulating Meridians) said, "Patients with pain in body yet without any ailment are treated with contralateral shallow collateral needling; patients with pain on one side with ailments on the other side are treated with contralateral deep collateral needling". Therefore, both of the two therapies are applicable to pain syndromes, and, for contralateral deep collateral needling, the pulse manifestation on the healthy side is different from that on the diseased side. Contralateral shallow collateral needling and contralateral deep collateral needling are the therapies where the right side is acupunctured if the left side is diseased and vice versa. It follows that the below side is acupunctured if the upper side is diseased and vice versa. The therapeutic principle is based on inducing yin from yang and vice versa. As cited from the Suwen ( 《素问》, Plain Questions), "A good acupuncturist follows the policy of 'knowing yourself and knowing your enemy', and he/she tends to treat the yin disease from the theory of regulating yang, treat the disease on the left side by regulating the right side and vice versa, he/ she knows to learn the inner disorder from the outer and knows to learn the future disease by the hints".  相似文献

Moxibustion penetration is a therapy in which the moxibustion sensation promoted by moxa is felt deeply inside the tissues. When moxibustion is practiced to certain extent, the sensation conducts from the moxibustion site to the deep tissues and far ends, or muscular pulsation appears at the moxibustion site, or the patient feels comfortable, painful, heavy and itching or the patient has reaction as skin redness and even perspiration throughout the body after the moxibustion. The best effect of moxibustion is expected when local site becomes slightly and evenly red or there is sweating. The observation has shown that the moxibustion dosage is the key to enhancing the therapeutic effect.  相似文献

Complementary and alternative medicine(CAM)is a set of different diagnostic and therapeutic procedures,as well as the use of natural products for the treatment of patients, derived from previously known traditional methods and enriched with modern scientific knowledge. The present article reviews the available data regarding the use of CAM and the legislation behind it in European countries. The use of CAM is recorded in Europe as a whole and varies between 1070%of the population of individual European countries. At least 300,000 registered CAM providers have been identified in the European Union(EU),of which slightly more than half includes non-medical practitioners. The most practiced discipline is acupuncture, followed by homeopathy.CAM regulation and legislation in Europe is not precisely defined and is constantly striving to find a common approach.Since legal frameworks for CAM are not defined, each European country has its own regulations and legislation. In order to define universal legislation for CAM,the EU created the CAMbrella project,a project of the EU designed to find a unique system that would include the treatment of CAM in Europe.According to the data from CAMbrella, from 39 countries in the EU,17 have general CAM legislations. The status of CAM in Europe is characterized by enormous heterogeneity in all aspects, including terminology, methods, prevalence and ultimately, legal status, regulations and legislation.  相似文献

Qi-invigorating is a method used for treating qi-deficiency syndromes. Qi-deficiency is mostly related with the internal organs of the lung and spleen. Qi'of the human body originates from the middle energizer and is dominated by the lung. It defends the superficial part of the body exteriorly, connects with the blood vessels interiorly, and keeps circulating in terms of ascending, descending, coming in and going out. Since the lung dominates the skin and hair, and the spleen dominates the four limbs, the lung and spleen are closely related with the skin diseases. Being a student of ZHU Ren-kang,  相似文献

"Mo" literally means "rubbing between two things"and "eliminating". Circular-rubbing is one of the earliest manipulations used in clinical practice. Circular-rubbing differs from pressing actually. Pressing is a static manipulation and acts to inhibit motion; circular-rubbing is a movable manipulation and serves to eliminate stationary. Circular-rubbing can be performed by either the palm or the finger.  相似文献
