Inflammation is related to several chronic diseases, including cancer and atherosclerosis. Taxillus sutchuenensis (Lecomte) Danser is a special folk medicinal plant in Taiwan. The aim of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiproliferative activities of the aqueous-thanol extract from T. sutchuenensis (AETS) and its fractions. TEAC, DPPH radicals, total phenolic compounds, total flavonoid content, inhibition of NO production in LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells, and inhibition of cancer cell proliferation were tested. Among all fractions, the ethyl-acetate (EA) fraction showed the highest TEAC and DPPH radical scavenging activities. The EA fraction also had the highest polyphenol and flavonoid content. The EA fractions also decreased LPS-induced NO production and the expression of iNOS and COX-2 in RAW264.7 cells. The antiproliferative activities of the aqueous/ethanol extract and fractions were studied in vitro using A549 cells, and the results were consistent with their antioxidant capacities. EA fractions had the highest antiproliferative activity with an IC(50) of 454.38 ± 1.48 μg/ml. Quercetin also had antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiproliferative activities. Quercetin might be an important bioactive compound in T. sutchuenensis. The experimental data indicated that T. sutchuenensis is a potent antioxidant medicinal plant, and such efficacy may be mainly attributed to its polyphenolic compounds.  相似文献

Because the flavonoid glycosides can be considered as suitable compounds for the quality assessment of Paliurus spina-christi Mill., a high-performance liquid-chromatographic method for the separation and quantification of these compounds in methanolic extracts of the different plant parts (leaves, flowers, fruits) is described. The system used is a reversed-phase column and gradient elution with water-phosphoric acid-acetonitrile. The analysis showed the flavonoid contents of the different plant parts and the different composition of the flavonoid pattern. The highest flavonoid content was found in the leaves in June and July. No significant influence of growing site or year of harvesting on the flavonoid content was observed. As quercetin 3-O-rhamnoglucoside 7-O-rhamnoside and rutin are the main flavonoid compounds present in all plant parts investigated, it is suggested that these compounds should be used for the quality assessment of Paliurus spina-christi.  相似文献

Objective: To isolate and identify the major bioactive components from the leaves of Lysiphyllum strychnifolium, an indigenous herb used in traditional Thai medicine for detoxification, longevity, and some other health related issues. Methods: Comparative HPLC analyses of the crude extracts from three provenances were carried out for an overview of characteristic compound profiles. Isolation of the major compounds was undertaken with chromatographic methods. Chemical structures were elucidated by NMR spectroscopic techniques and mass spectrometry. DPPH scavenging assay was carried out to determine the free radical scavenging activity of isolated compounds. Results: Yanangdaengin (3), a dihydrochalcone glucoside galloyl ester, has been isolated together with its corresponding dihydrochalcone glucoside trilobatin (2) as major compounds from the leaves of L. strychnifolium. Additionally, gallic acid (1) was co-chromatographically identified. Free radical scavenging activity of isolated compounds were determined. Compound 3 exhibited higher free radical scavenging activities in comparison to Trolox and quercetin. Conclusion: The isolated compounds could be used as chemical markers for quality assessment. The present work could promote the quality control and herbal medicinal product development of this plant.  相似文献

目的:鉴定羊踯躅花、茎、叶的全部代谢物和不同部位间含量有差异的代谢物,分析差异代谢物的代谢通路。方法:采用广泛非靶向代谢组学对羊踯躅不同部位的代谢物进行比较分析。结果:共鉴定出535个代谢物,其中包括金合欢素、落新妇苷、苔黑酚龙胆二糖苷、去甲蟛蜞菊内酯、补骨脂定、秦皮素、络塞维等49个在其他植物中分离鉴定出的具有药用活性的化合物;鉴定出差异代谢物202个,包括β-氰基丙氨酸、蜀黍苷和黄曲霉毒素G23个有毒代谢物,且这3个有毒代谢物分别在花、茎、叶中含量最高;鉴定出百里香酚、丹皮酚、欧芹酚、东莨菪内酯、异泽兰黄素、野鸢尾黄素、石蒜碱和豆甾醇8个有药用价值的化合物,其在花、茎、叶中含量差异有统计学意义;排名前4位的差异代谢物通路中,花、茎、叶共有的通路为精氨酸生物合成,丙氨酸、天冬氨酸和谷氨酸代谢,以及氨酰基-tRNA生物合成通路,其中涉及花的通路还包括氰基氨基酸代谢通路。结论:羊踯躅中存在丰富的天然药用活性产物,使其药用价值并不限于毒性成分;氨基酸的合成与代谢是不同部位代谢物差异的主要原因。研究结果可为进一步筛选解析羊踯躅中药用价值较高的关键代谢物提供参考。  相似文献

From leaves of Leea guineense (Leeaceae) three hydrophilic flavonoids were isolated and identified as quercetin-3'-sulphate-3-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranoside, quercetin-3,3'-disulphate and a new flavonoid sulphate, quercetin-3,3',4'-trisulphate, together with kaempferol, quercetin, quercitrin, mearnsitrin, gallic acid and ethyl gallate. The structures were established by spectroscopic analysis (UV, MS, (1)H-NMR, (13)C-NMR and 2D-NMR). Their antioxidant effect on free radical scavenging was evaluated in the DPPH assay.  相似文献

目的:制取20(S)原人参二醇组皂苷并将其转化制备抗癌活性单体20(S)人参皂苷Rh2。方法:以国产西洋参茎叶总皂苷为原料,通过萃取法制备20(S)原人参二醇组皂苷;将20(S)原人参二醇组皂苷碱催化水解后,经柱层析分离纯化制备20(S)人参皂苷Rh2。结果:20(S)原人参二醇组皂苷收率为41.5%,其转化成20(S)人参皂苷Rh2的转化率为9.64%。结论:制取方法简便,收率较高。  相似文献

A new flavonoid compound isokaempferide 7-O-beta-d-(6'-methylglucuronide) (1) was isolated from flowers of Cirsium rivulare (Jacq.) All. Its structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic studies (UV, (1)H and (13)C NMR, FABMS). Moreover, five known flavonoid compounds: apigenin 7-(6'-methylglucuronide) (2), hispidulin 7-glucoside (3), isokaempferide 7-glucuronide (4), kaempferol 3-galactoside (5), pectolinarin (6) were isolated from this source for the first time. The antimicrobial activity of aqueous, methanolic and 70% ethanolic extracts of Cirsium rivulare flowers and leaves was also evaluated.  相似文献
