The 250th anniversary of Georg Ernst Stahl's death (1659-1734) is the occasion for remembering the remarkable work of this Halle professor in ordinary. In the history of medicine and natural sciences Georg Ernst Stahl is imbedded on the one hand by his psychodynamistic system and on the other hand by the foundation of the phlogiston chemistry. The enactment of the Prussian Medicinal Edict of 1725, which created new criteria for the organised public health of his time, took place during the time of his function as archiater in Berlin.  相似文献

The forwarding of medicaments in Halle stands in the first place in the early history of the pharmaceutic industry. The enterprise established in the years 1708/1709 worked according to economic points of view seeming modern and occupied temporarily a central position in the export business of drugs. It reached its culmination point in the second half of the 18th century. In the 19th century the export business was fused with the still nowadays existing Waisenhaus druggist 's shop in Halle.  相似文献

The clinical treatment in the Halle hospitals of the early 18th century was embedded in a care treatment system issuing from criteria which seem to be very modern to us. The systematisation of the practices of admission as well as the connection of curative and preventive medicine is made clear on the basis of preserved documentations. For the sector of hospital medicine the Halle approach must be regarded as spade-work; it gave an instance which was followed with considerable lateness in other towns.  相似文献

In the history of the interrelations of Halle and Russia in medicine during the 18th century Francke's Foundations, the Faculty of Medicine and the Academia Naturae Curiosorum are important institutions. The correspondence of these three institutions with the partners in Russia became remarkable for the scientific communication and reception. The activities of the working teams which were embedded in these authoritative bodies were scarcely inferior in importance to the centres of enlightenment of that time working in other towns (for instance in Leipzig). In the field of medicine Halle occupied a leading position for the early knowledge about Russia.  相似文献

Several Halle graduates of the thirties of the 19th century in their autobiographies in detail reported on their student days. One of them was the Francfort Heinrich Hoffmann who was awarded the doctor's degree in Halle in 1833 and later on by his very often read book for the young became well-known as "Struwwelpeter-Hoffmann". Hoffmann's representations form an interesting supplementation to the statements of other authors which concerned the city and the university of Halle.  相似文献

During the 18th century about 40 medical men who declared Russia their native country took their academic degree in Halle. This number is nearly identical with a group of medical immigrants coming from Halle of circa the same size, most of them remaining in the chosen home. For circa 70 persons of these two groups of physicians a permanent activity is to be proved during this century. Their lives and work were described in this series of contributions devoted to the interrelations of Russia and Halle in medicine of the 18th century.  相似文献

Nearly from about 1780 new conceptions in the modalities of appointment referred to the bloom of the decades of foundation.  相似文献

On the epoch before the March revolution 1848 several reports of witnesses of time written by Halle physicians are existing. By a book publication of the year 1847 the physician Julius Rosenbaum informed the publicity about details of internal facts of the faculty. The future physician Ludwig Paetsch who entered the university in the same year later on wrote his reminiscences of his years as a student in Halle. The conditions in the town on river Saale and the university are plastically described in the two papers.  相似文献

The own experience of war activities of the ending 18th and the early 19th century led several physicians who participated in these activities to write down their personal memoirs. Among these the autobiography of the physician Wenzel Krimer graduated in Halle is of particular value. It describes the engagement of a physician, who later on obtained a scientific reputation, in the field of military medicine and does not keep back criticism concerning organisational deficiencies. Similarly to the report of Johann Christian Reil Krimer's memoirs are a significant document of that time for the events of the War of Liberation.  相似文献
