A new DRB1*15 allele (DRB1*1506) was detected during the studies of the 12th International Histocompatibility Workshop within the Allele and Haplo-type Society #11 which studied the DR2 and DR51 antigens. The new allele was found in four unrelated Asian Indian individuals by sequence-based typing. A new DRB1 allele has been identified during routine HLA-DRB1 generic typing with sequence specific oligonucleotides. The new allele was confirmed by PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis and subsequently sequenced. We describe the identification of a new DRB1*03 variant in a Caucasian volunteer bone-marrow donor (DR'KW'). The indication for the existence of this new variant arose from contradictory results obtained by serological and several DNA typing methods (SSP, SSOP). Analysis of the exon 2 sequence revealed that the DRB1*0314 contained the characteristic DR3 specific sequence motifs, except for codon 77 (AAC-->ACC) where threonine is substituted for asparagine.  相似文献

We report the identification of a novel HLA-DRB1*11 using sequence-based typing. This new allele, officially named DRB1*1150, was detected while performing HLA-DRB1 high-resolution typing of a candidate for bone marrow transplantation. DRB1*1150 is identical to DRB1*1143 except at nucleotides 200 and 227, where a T is substituted by a C and a T by an A, respectively. These differences give rise to two amino acid substitutions at codons 38 (Val-->Ala) and 47 (Phe-->Tyr).  相似文献

We describe the complete exon 2 sequence of a novel HLA-DRB1 allele, DRB1*11272. This allele differs from the DRB1*11271 allele by a synonymous mutation in codon 77 where an AAT is replaced with AAC, both encode for the amino acid asparagine. The same motif at codon 77 has also been found in DRB1*1107, DRB1*1333, DRB1*0422 and in most DRB1*03 alleles. A partial exon 2 sequence of this allele has previously been deposited in the EMBL Sequence Database under the accession number AF186407.  相似文献

In this paper we report the identification of a new HLA-A*02 allele in two members of an Afghan family. This novel allele, designed as A*02202, differs from A*02201 by a silent substitution at codon 66 (AAC-->AAT) in the alpha1 domain.
