Primary malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphomas account for 0.4% of malignant neoplasms arising in the bladder and female urethra, but do not comprise a uniform group, and three subgroups can be identified which account for a majority of cases. The most common is a low-grade B-cell lymphoma similar to neoplasms arising in the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue at other sites — so-called MALTomas. These generally display indolent behavior. A second group accounting for approximately one-fifth of cases is composed almost entirely of large lymphoid cells, and these tumors have a poor prognosis. A third possible group comprises only a few patients who present with diffuse thickening of the bladder wall, and have a poor prognosis. The authors present a new case which suggests that this latter group may be of T-cell origin. In addition to these three subtypes, others no doubt await recognition. The different forms of primary lymphoma appear to require different treatments, and some guidelines are proposed.  相似文献

Leiomyoma of the female urethra is a benign mesenchymal tumour highly infrequent in the clinical practice. There is controversy as to its degree of oestrogen hormone dependency and its diagnosis is reached only after pathohistological study of the resection specimen. This type of tumour has excellent prognosis, with few tumoral relapses and no case of malignant transformation having been reported for the time being. Contribution of one case report of leiomyoma of the female urethra with typical clinical-epidemiological features but very uncommon from a topographic insight, as it was located in the anterior side of the distal urethra.  相似文献

Complete avulsion of the female urethra secondary to blunt trauma is uncommon. It is associated with pelvic fractures, and because of the close association of the urethra and vagina a vaginal laceration also occurs. The paucity of lesions associated with pelvic fracture may be explained by the relative mobility and shortness of the urethra in the female. The treatment of urethral trauma in females has not been established. Vaginal, transpubic, or retropubic approaches have been used successfully. We report on 3 cases of urethral trauma with anterior vaginal lacerations treated by retropubic approach with good results.  相似文献

Results of experiences with urethroplasty for the repair of urethral meatal stricture of the female are reported. Discussion of the indications, results of the surgery, and a five-year follow-up study of the procedure is presented. Results are satisfactory, especially in children. A study of the resected pathologic specimens demonstrates inflammation rather than fibrosis is the basic cause of urethral meatal stricture.  相似文献

Angiomyofibroblastoma of the female urethra   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
BACKGROUND: Angiomyofibroblastoma is a relatively recently described rare tumor of the superficial soft tissues. To date, 57 cases of angiomyofibroblastoma of the external genitalia in women have been reported. METHODS/RESULTS: We describe a case of a 24-year-old woman who presented with the urinary stream flowing out in the posterior direction and whose diagnosis was a urethral tumor, angiomyofibroblastoma. CONCLUSIONS: Angiomyofibroblastoma has a potential arising from the female urethra as well as other areas of the external genitalia.  相似文献
