Background and Aim: Gastric adenomas (GAs) are considered as premalignant lesions of gastric adenocarcinoma. The role of Wnt signaling pathway in GAs is rarely identified. In the present study, we aimed to determine whether Wnt signaling plays a role in the pathogenesis of GAs, and to clarify the mechanism of Wnt signaling in GAs. Methods: The study investigated the relationship between clinicopathological characteristics, Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection, adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) promoter methylation, APC and β‐catenin immunohistochemistry expression and mutation status, compared with 38 gastric adenoma and periadenomatous tissues (PTs). Results: The abnormal expression of β‐catenin in PTs, low‐grade adenomas (LGAs) and high‐grade adenomas (HGAs) was 0%, 9.09% and 81.25%. For APC, immunoreactive score (IRS) was 5.50 ± 0.5 in PTs, 3.59 ± 1.4 in LGAs and 1.8 ± 2.0 in HGAs. The scores in LGAs and HGAs were significantly lower than those in PTs (P = 0.000). IRS reflected significantly reduced expression of APC in HGAs (P = 0.002). The absent expression of APC had a correlation with the expression of β‐catenin (P = 0.000). Four LGAs (18.18%) and nine HGAs (56.25%) had methylation of APC. APC promoter methylation correlated with the grade (P = 0.014) and the expression of β‐catenin and APC (P = 0.000). Genes mutation was detected in only two adenomas (5.3%). The presence of Hp in HGAs (43.8%) was significantly higher than in LGAs (13.6%) (P = 0.038). But there was no statistical correlation to growth pattern, size, APC hypermethylation and gene mutation. Conclusion: Hypermethylation of APC promoter, instead of mutations involving APC and β‐catenin, may play a role in the development and progression of GAs contributing to moderate activation of Wnt signaling. Helicobacter pylori may accelerate the progress of gastric adenoma, but the pathogenesis needs further research.  相似文献

Esophageal cancer (EC) is a highly aggressive neoplasm with poor prognosis. The main reason for this disappointing outcome is the strong behavior of esophageal cancer cell's invasion and metastasis. CXC chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) was found to be expressed in many tumors and significantly correlated with invasion, angiogenesis, metastasis, and prognosis. In the present study, we investigated the expressions of CXCR4, matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP‐9), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) and analyzed the relationship among the three proteins. Sections of paraffin‐embedded tissues were obtained from 127 patients with ESCC undergoing esophagectomy at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University in 2005. The CXCR4, MMP‐9, and VEGF expressions in EC tissues were evaluated according to the immunohistochemical staining area and intensity. The correlations between patients' prognosis and covariates were analyzed by Kaplan–Meier method (univariate analysis) and Cox regression (multivariate analysis). The overall expression rate of CXCR4, MMP‐9, and VEGF was 88.2%, 93.7%, and 79.5%, respectively. CXCR4 expression was significantly associated with tumor grade, tumor size, tumor depth, regional lymph node metastasis, and tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) stage (P < 0.05). MMP‐9 expression was significantly associated with age and tumor grade (P < 0.05). VEGF expression was significantly associated with tumor grade, tumor depth, and TNM stage (P < 0.05). CXCR4 expression was positively correlated with MMP‐9 expression (P < 0.01, r= 0.365) and VEGF expression (P < 0.01, r= 0.380). However, there was no significant correlation between MMP‐9 and VEGF expression (P > 0.05). In univariate analysis, CXCR4 expression, tumor size, tumor depth, lymph node metastasis, and TNM stage were correlated with patients' prognosis (P < 0.05); in multivariate analysis, tumor size and lymph node metastasis were the independent factors of poor prognosis. CXCR4 was highly expressed in ESCC and correlated with MMP‐9, VEGF, clinicopathological features and prognosis. We speculated CXCR4 play an important role during the progression of this disease and there might be some regulatory mechanism existing between CXCR4 and MMP‐9/VEGF in ESCC.  相似文献

Protein kinase D1 (PRKD1) is a kinase that regulates various pathways, which involve in cell proliferation, apoptosis, cell adhesion and invasion. Although PRKD1 expression has been observed in many cancers, its role in esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC) has not been well reported. As its dysregulation in cancers is organ specific, we sought to investigate the potential role of PRKD1 in the progression of ESCC. Samples were collected from 178 patients with completely resected ESCCs at Sun Yat‐sen University Cancer Center, including 47 pairs of tumorous and non‐tumorous tissues. PRKD1 mRNA expression was investigated by quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to search for a feasible cut‐off point of PRKD1 mRNA levels for predicting cancer‐specific survival. Kaplan–Meier and multivariate Cox regression analysis were used to assess the prognostic value of PRKD1 mRNA level in ESCC patients. In result, upregulation of PRKD1 mRNA was detected in 55.3% (26/47) of ESCC tissues compared with paired non‐tumorous ones (P = 0.011). ROC analysis indicated 3.28 as a cut‐off point, and thus 72 and 106 tumors with low and high PRKD1 mRNA expression were categorized. High‐PRKD1 mRNA expression in tumors appeared with more frequency in heavy smokers (P = 0.002) and patients with advanced pathological T category (P = 0.034). Kaplan–Meier analysis indicated that patients with low‐PRKD1 mRNA had a longer cancer‐specific survival than the ones with high‐PRKD1 level (P = 0.044). Multivariate analysis showed that tumorous PRKD1 mRNA expression was an independent prognostic factor (hazard ratio: 1.538, 95% confidence interval: 1.018–2.323, P = 0.041) in resected ESCC. Subgroup analysis revealed that the discernibility of PRKD1 mRNA level on ESCC outcomes was only pronounced in heavy smokers (P = 0.002), but not in non‐heavy smokers (P = 0.870). PRKD1 might play a potential oncogenic role in ESCC. It might be an independent biomarker to predict prognosis in heavy smokers with ESCC.  相似文献

Chordoma is an extremely rare malignant bone tumor with a high rate of relapse. While cancer stem cells (CSCs) are closely associated with tumor recurrence, which depend on its capacity to self‐renew and induce chemo‐/radioresistance, whether and how CSCs participate in chordoma recurrence remains unclear. The current study found that tumor cells in recurrent chordoma displayed more dedifferentiated CSC‐like properties than those in corresponding primary tumor tissues. Meanwhile, MTNR1B deletion along with melatonin receptor 1B (MTNR1B) down‐regulation was observed in recurrent chordoma. Further investigation revealed that activation of Gαi2 by MTNR1B upon melatonin stimulation could inhibit SRC kinase activity via recruiting CSK and SRC, increasing SRC Y530 phosphorylation, and decreasing SRC Y419 phosphorylation. This subsequently suppressed β‐catenin signaling and stemness via decreasing β‐catenin p‐Y86/Y333/Y654. However, MTNR1B loss in chordoma mediated increased CSC properties, chemoresistance, and tumor progression by releasing melatonin's repression of β‐catenin signaling. Clinically, MTNR1B deletion was found to correlate with patients’ survival. Together, our study establishes a novel convergence between melatonin and β‐catenin signaling pathways and reveals the significance of this cross talk in chordoma recurrence. Besides, we propose that MTNR1B is a potential biomarker for prediction of chordoma prognosis and selection of treatment options, and chordoma patients might benefit from targeting MTNR1B/Gαi2/SRC/β‐catenin axis.  相似文献

Cofilin1 (CFL1) is an actin‐modulating protein, which belongs to the ADF/Cofilin family. Neural Wiskott–Aldrich syndrome protein (N‐WASP) is the key regulator of the actin cytoskeleton, a member of Wiskott‐Aldrich syndrome protein family. They have been suggested to be involved in cancer cell invasion and metastasis. In this study, the expression patterns of CFL1 and N‐WASP in normal esophageal mucosa and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and their correlation with clinical characteristics were investigated. Immunohistochemical staining showed that CFL1 was expressed in nuclear and cytoplasm of cancer cells. However, N‐WASP was mainly found in the cytoplasm of the cancer cells. There were significant evidences that proved that CFL1 is correlated with clinicopathological factors in ESCC, such as infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis and pathological staging (P < 0.05). It is also proved that N‐WASP is related to lymph node metastasis and pathological staging in ESCC (P < 0.05). Kaplan–Meier analysis showed that there was no correlation between CFL1 and N‐WASP protein expression and survival (P > 0.05). Moreover, the mRNA expression of CFL1 and N‐WASP was detected by quantitative real time PCR in 70 tissue specimens. The results showed that CFL1 mRNA level was over‐expressed in ESCC tissue (P < 0.05), while N‐WASP mRNA expression level was not different between cancerous tissues and adjacent normal esophageal mucosa (P > 0.05). Also, CFL1 mRNA expression was significantly associated with regional lymph node metastasis and pathological staging (P < 0.05). Kaplan–Meier analysis showed that there was no correlation between CFL1 and N‐WASP mRNA expression and survival (P > 0.05). Our findings suggested that CFL1 and N‐WASP may play an important role in the tumorigenesis of ESCC, and to be the candidate novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of ESCC. These findings may have implications for targeted therapies in patients with ESCC.  相似文献

Centromere protein F (CENP‐F), a cell cycle‐regulated centromere protein, has been shown to affect numerous tumorigenic processes. This study aimed to clarify the prognostic significance of CENP‐F expression in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The levels of CENP‐F messenger RNA and protein were higher in ESCC cell lines than in the normal tissues. An immunohistochemical analysis of paired tissue specimens showed that the CENP‐F expression was higher in tumorous tissues than in the adjacent non‐tumorous tissues (P < 0.001). Moreover, there was a significant correlation between CENP‐F expression and gender (P = 0.012), clinical stage (P = 0.039), and T classification (P = 0.026). Patients with higher CENP‐F expression had shorter overall survival than those with lower CENP‐F expression (P = 0.009). Multivariate Cox analysis indicated that CENP‐F expression is an independent prognostic factor for overall survival (hazard ratio = 0.582, 95% confidence interval = 0.397–0.804, P = 0.041). Importantly, it was found that zoledronic acid (ZOL) could significantly enhance the chemotherapeutic sensitivity of ESCC cell lines with high CENP‐F expression to cisplatin, although ZOL alone only exhibited a minor inhibitory effect to ESCC cells. In summary, these findings demonstrate that CENP‐F may serve as a valuable molecular marker for predicting the prognosis of ESCC patients. In addition, the data indicate a potential benefit of combining ZOL with cisplatin in ESCC, suggesting that CENP‐F expression may have therapeutic implications.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to clarify the role of breast cancer anti‐estrogen resistance 1 (BCAR1) expression in relation to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), p53, and proliferation in esophageal squamous cell cancer (ESCC). Expression of BCAR1, VEGF, p53, and the ki‐67 proliferative index were examined by tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry in 106 specimens with ESCC and matched adjacent normal tissues. Among them, 40 cases were simultaneously examined by Western blot. Both Western blot and immunohistochemistry showed that BCAR1 expression was substantially higher in ESCC than in adjacent normal tissues (P < 0.001). BCAR1 expression was significantly connected with degree of tumor differentiation, with poorly differentiated tumors showing higher BCAR1 expression (P < 0.001). BCAR1 expression was significantly and positively correlated with VEGF and p53 expression levels (r= 0.541, P < 0.001; r= 0.374; P < 0.001) but not proliferative index (r= 0.44; P= 0.066). Additionally, a significant relationship was also observed between VEGF and p53 (r= 0.321; P= 0.001). Kaplan–Meier survival analysis revealed that patients with high BCAR1 expression had significantly shorter survival times than those with low BCAR1 expression levels (median survival 40 months vs. 27 months, P= 0.09). Multivariate analysis also revealed that levels of BCAR1 expression (hazard ratio 2.250, P= 0.015) was a significant and independent prognostic indicator. High expression of BCAR1 is associated with elevated VEGF and p53 expression levels, as well as poor prognosis in ESCC. Therefore, BCAR1 may be a potential candidate for predicting prognosis and a new therapy target for ESCC.  相似文献

Our objective was to investigate whether cyclooxygenase‐2 (COX‐2) expression can predict the patient's response to chemoradiotherapy (CRT) and ensuing prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The clinicopathological and follow‐up data of 112 patients with ESCC who underwent CRT from January 2001 to June 2006 were analyzed retrospectively. The immunohistochemical expression level of COX‐2 was examined for all biopsy specimens of primary tumors, and the correlation of COX‐2 expression with the patient's response to CRT and prognosis was examined. COX‐2 positive immunostaining was detected in 111 (99.1%) of the patients, including overexpression in 54 (48.2%) patients and low expression in 58 (51.8%) of the patients. The response of tumors with a low level expression of COX‐2 (70.7%, 41/58) was significantly higher than that of tumors with COX‐2 overexpression (42.6%, 23/54; P = 0.003). Patients with a low level of COX‐2 expression had a higher downstaged rate than those with a high level of COX‐2 expression (9/13 vs 2/8), but the difference was not statistically significant (P = 0.08). In the definitive CRT group (91 cases), COX‐2 overexpression was significantly associated with poor 3‐year overall survival (P = 0.028). Multivariate analysis showed that only metastatic stage (nonregional node metastasis) was an independent prognosis factor. The assessment of COX‐2 status may provide additional information to identify ESCC patients with poor chances of response to CRT and potential candidates for more individualized treatment.  相似文献

Background: Mutations in the Wnt signalling pathway molecule β‐catenin are associated with liver cancer. Aims: Our aim was to confirm the effects of stabilized β‐catenin on liver growth, identify whether those effects were reversible and cell autonomous or non‐cell autonomous and to model β‐catenin‐induced liver cancer in mice. Methods: Using a liver‐specific inducible promoter, we generated transgenic mice in which the expression of mutant β‐catenin can be induced or repressed within hepatocytes in mice of different ages. Results: Similar to other models, the hepatic expression of mutant β‐catenin in our model beginning in utero or induced in quiescent adult liver resulted in a two‐fold liver enlargement and development of disease with a latency of 1–5 months, and mice displayed elevated blood ammonia and altered hepatic gene expression. Our model additionally allowed us to discover that molecular and phenotypic abnormalities were reversible following the inhibition of transgene expression. Hepatocyte transplant studies indicated that mutant β‐catenin could not increase the growth of transgene‐expressing foci in either growth‐permissive or ‐restrictive hepatic environments, but still directly altered hepatocyte gene expression. Mice with continuous but focal transgene expression developed hepatic neoplasms after the age of 1 year. Conclusions: Our findings indicate that hepatocyte gene expression is directly affected by mutant β‐catenin in a cell autonomous manner. However, hepatomegaly associated with diffuse hepatocyte‐specific expression of mutant β‐catenin is secondary to liver functional alteration or non‐cell autonomous. Both phenotypes are reversible. Nevertheless, some foci of transgene‐expressing cells progressed to carcinoma, confirming the association of mutant β‐catenin with liver cancer.  相似文献

Objective

To investigate the underlying mechanisms of action and functional relevance of β‐catenin in chondrocytes, by examining the role of β‐catenin as a novel protein that interacts with the intracellular C‐terminal portion of the parathyroid hormone (PTH)/PTH‐related protein (PTHrP) receptor type 1 (PTHR‐1).

Methods

The β‐catenin–PTHR‐1 binding region was determined with deletion and mutagenesis analyses of the PTHR1 C‐terminus, using a mammalian two‐hybrid assay. Physical interactions between these 2 molecules were examined with an in situ proximity ligation assay and immunostaining. To assess the effects of gain‐ and loss‐of‐function of β‐catenin, transfection experiments were performed to induce overexpression of the constitutively active form of β‐catenin (ca‐β‐catenin) and to block β‐catenin activity with small interfering RNA, in cells cotransfected with either wild‐type PTHR1 or mutant forms (lacking binding to β‐catenin). Activation of the G protein α subunits Gαs and Gαq in the cells was determined by measurement of the intracellular cAMP accumulation and intracellular Ca2+ concentration, while activation of canonical Wnt pathways was assessed using a TOPflash reporter assay.

Results

In differentiated chondrocytes, β‐catenin physically interacted and colocalized with the cell membrane–specific region of PTHR‐1 (584–589). Binding of β‐catenin to PTHR‐1 caused suppression of the Gαs/cAMP pathway and enhancement of the Gαq/Ca2+ pathway, without affecting the canonical Wnt pathway. Inhibition of Col10a1 messenger RNA (mRNA) expression by PTH was restored by overexpression of ca‐β‐catenin, even after blockade of the canonical Wnt pathway, and Col10a1 mRNA expression was further decreased by knockout of β‐catenin (via the Cre recombinase) in chondrocytes from β‐catenin–floxed mice. Mutagenesis analyses to block the binding of β‐catenin to PTHR1 caused an inhibition of chondrocyte hypertrophy markers.

Conclusion

β‐catenin binds to the PTHR‐1 C‐tail and switches the downstream signaling pathway from Gαs/cAMP to Gαq/Ca2+, which is a possible mechanism by which chondrocyte hypertrophy may be regulated through the PTH/PTHrP signal independent of the canonical Wnt pathway.

Signal pathways mediated by epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and E‐series of prostaglandin receptors (EPs) are closely correlated to the pathogenesis of tumor. This experiment was designed to investigate the expression and clinical significance of EP2 and EGFR in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Tissue samples were collected reterospectively from 87 patients with ESCC (first diagnosed). The patients were followed up for 5 years after radical surgery. The expression of EP‐2 and EGFR were examined by tissue chip technology and immunohistochemistry methods. Clinicopathological and prognostic impact were evaluated. Overexpression of EGFR and EP‐2 was more observed in ESCC than the control group (58.6% vs. 13.9%; 52.9% vs. 4.88%, P < 0.001, respectively); which correlated with tumor infiltration depth, lymph node metastasis, and tumor‐lymph node‐metastasis staging. Both the EP‐2 and EGFR overexpression were detected in 39 specimens and exhibited the positive correlation (P < 0.001, r = 0.404). Overexpression of EP2 and EGFR exhibited significant correlation with worse 5‐year overall survival than those with negative result (17.6% vs. 27.8%, P = 0.011; 10.9% vs. 34.1%, P < 0.001, respectively). Cox proportional hazard model showed that the T‐staging, lymph node metastasis, and EGFR overexpression were the independent risk factors of the prognosis. The present study exhibited that the overexpression of EP2 and EGFR in ESCC tissues might play an important role in carcinogenesis and the progression of ESCC.  相似文献

Caspase‐3 plays an important role as the key effector during apoptosis, but there are very few studies of caspase‐3 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The purpose of this study was to investigate the expression and prognostic significance of caspase‐3 in ESCC from Linzhou City, a high incidence area in northern China. All 64 patients underwent esophagectomy for ESCC between January 2002 and December were enrolled in this study. Caspase‐3 expression was assessed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in primary ESCC and paired normal esophageal epithelium. The positive rate of caspase‐3 expression was higher in ESCC than in normal esophageal epithelium (79.7% vs. 50.0%, Chi‐square = 12.372, P= 0.001). Caspase‐3 expression was correlated with tumor cell differentiation (Phi = 0.717, P < 0.001), tumor infiltration depth (Phi =?0.334, P= 0.008), and pathologic TNM (pTNM) staging (rs =?0.268, P= 0.032). Patients in caspase‐3 positive group had a significantly better 5‐year overall survival than those in the negative group (77.4% vs. 35.9%, χ2= 7.344, P= 0.007). Our results showed that caspase‐3 expression was upregulated in ESCC compared with normal esophageal epithelium in population of Chinese high incidence area, and patients with caspase‐3 positive expression had better prognosis. Therefore, caspase‐3 immunostaining could be a simple and useful tool for predicting survival in ESCC patients.  相似文献

The Wnt/β‐catenin signaling is important for controlling self‐renewal of hematopoietic stem cells and its constitutive activation has recently been documented in a significant proportion of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cases. Topoisomerase IIα (Topo IIα) is a marker of cell proliferation and a crucial target for anthracycline cytotoxicity, the mainstay of management employed in AML. We retrospectively investigated the prognostic roles of β‐catenin and topo IIα in a cohort of 59 patients with newly diagnosed AML by immunohistochemistry. Aberrant β‐catenin expression was demonstrated in 13 patients (22%), and it was more likely to occur in those with unfavorable karyotypes. Advanced age and poor performance status adversely influenced the achievement of complete remission, while neither aberrant β‐catenin expression nor enhanced topo IIα activity did. On multivariate survival analysis, four factors independently predicted a shortened overall survival: aberrant β‐catenin expression, high topo IIα activity, poor‐risk cytogenetics, and presence of at least one comorbidity factor. Our results suggest that both β‐catenin and topo IIα independently predicted an adverse prognosis and might serve as new markers for risk stratification in AML patients. Am. J. Background Primary pigmented nodular adrenocortical disease (PPNAD) leads to Cushing syndrome (CS) and is often associated with Carney complex (CNC). Genetic alterations of the type 1‐α regulatory subunit of cAMP‐dependent protein kinase A (PRKAR1A) and phosphodiesterase 11A4 (PDE11A) genes have been found in PPNAD. Recent studies have demonstrated that β‐catenin mutations are frequent in adrenocortical adenomas and carcinomas and that the Wnt‐signalling pathway is involved in PPNAD tumorigenesis. We hypothesized that adrenocortical adenomas that form in the context of PPNAD may harbour β‐catenin mutations. Methods We studied 18 patients with CS secondary to PPNAD who were screened for germline PRKAR1A and PDE11A mutations. Tumor DNA was extracted from pigmented adrenocortical adenoma and nodular adrenal hyperplasia. Mutation analysis of exons 3 and 5 of β‐catenin was performed using polymerase chain reaction and direct sequencing. Sections from formalin‐fixed, paraffin‐embedded tumour samples were studied by immunohistochemistry with an antibody against β‐catenin. Results Nine patients were carrying germline PRKAR1A mutations and one patient had a PDE11A mutation. We found somatic β‐catenin mutations in 2 of 18 patients (11%). In both cases, the mutations occurred in relatively large adenomas that had formed in the background of PPNAD. Tumor DNA analysis revealed a heterozygous ACC‐to‐GCC missense mutation in codon 41 (T41A) and a TCT‐to‐CCT missense mutation in codon 45 (S45P) of exon 3 of the β‐catenin gene that was confirmed at the cDNA level. There were no alterations in the DNA of PPNAD‐adjacent tissues and lymphocytes from the patients, indicating somatic events. Immunohistochemistry showed nuclear accumulation of β‐catenin in more than 90% of cells in adenomatous tissue whereas no nuclear immunoreactivity was detected in adjacent PPNAD nodular cells. Nuclear translocation of β‐catenin protein in the PPNAD adenoma suggests activation of the Wnt–β‐catenin pathway in PPNAD. Conclusions We report, for the first time, β‐catenin mutations in adenomas associated with PPNAD, further implicating Wnt–β‐catenin signalling in tumorigenesis linked to bilateral adrenal hyperplasias.  相似文献

Increasing evidence has suggested that the host inflammatory status is associated with prognosis of several solid tumors. Preoperative platelet–lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil–lymphocyte ratio (NLR), both acquired from routine blood tests, can reflect the status of systematic inflammation. However, whether they are correlated with clinical outcomes of esophageal carcinoma is still unknown. The purpose of this study was to determine the prognostic value of preoperative PLR and NLR in patients with resected esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Preoperative PLR and NLR were evaluated in 317 eligible ESCC patients from September 2008 to December 2010. Receiver operating characteristic curves were applied to establish optimal cutoff points. The prognostic values of PLR and NLR were determined by both univariate and multivariate analyses. The optimal cutoff value of preoperative PLR and NLR were 103.0 and 2.1, respectively. One hundred and ninety‐seven (62.1%) patients showed high level of preoperative PLR, while 148 (46.7%) patients showed high level of preoperative NLR. Both elevated PLR (P < 0.001) and NLR (P = 0.009) were correlated with poor disease‐specific survival in univariate analysis. However, only preoperative PLR (P = 0.003) had a significant correlation with prognosis in multivariate analysis. In subgroup analyses, the predictive value of PLR was significant for stage I (P = 0.008) and stage II (P = 0.044) patients, but not for stage III patients (P = 0.100). Preoperative PLR is easily obtained from a routine blood test and may provide additional prognostic information for ESCC patients, especially in the early stage.  相似文献
