The effect of dietary conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) isomers mixture on antibody titres against sheep blood erythrocytes (SRBC) and immunoglobulin (Ig) G concentration in plasma was studied in broiler chickens. In experiment 1, male and female broiler chicks (11 d of age, Cobb strain) were fed a diet supplemented with 10 g CLA or 10 g safflower-seed oil/kg diet for 2 weeks. An SRBC suspension (5:100, v/v) in a phosphate buffer was intravenously injected at 18 d of age and a blood sample was taken from the wing vein at 25 d of age. Chicks fed the CLA-supplemented diet had enhanced first antibody titres in plasma to SRBC as compared with those fed the safflower-seed oil-supplemented diet, irrespective of sex differences. In experiment 2, male broiler chicks (8 d of age, Ross strain) were fed a basal diet or a diet containing 10 g CLA/kg diet for 3 weeks. CLA in the CLA diet partially replaced the soyabean oil in the basal diet. The SRBC suspension was intravenously injected at 15 and 25 d of age and a blood sample was obtained at 21 and 29 d of age. The first antibody titres against SRBC were higher in chicks fed the CLA diet than those in chicks fed the basal diet, but the second titres were not. Plasma IgG concentrations in chicks fed the CLA diet were higher than those in chicks fed the basal diet on both sampling days. The results showed that dietary CLA enhanced antibody production in broiler chickens.  相似文献

The effect of dietary conjugated linoleic acid isomers (CLA) on growth performance, carcass composition, fatty acid composition of adipose and muscle tissues, and serum lipoproteins was investigated in broiler chickens. A total of 160 (eighty male and eighty female) chickens were allocated to four dietary treatments (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 % CLA) and fed a standard starter diet from 8 to 21 d, and a grower-finisher diet from 22-42 d. When determined for the total period 8-42 d, feed intake and body weight gains of broiler chickens were significantly reduced (from 3.31 to 3.12 kg and from 1615 to 1435 g respectively; P < 0.05), particularly at the 1.5 % dietary CLA level. Feed conversion efficiency and carcass yield values showed no significant effects of dietary CLA. Abdominal fat deposition was significantly reduced (from 2.68 to 1.78 %; P < 0.05), the relative proportion of breast muscles was unaffected, and that of leg muscles significantly increased (from 19.0 to 20.6 %; P < 0.05). The concentration of CLA isomers (% of total methyl esters of fatty acids) increased linearly in tissue samples from broilers fed 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 % dietary CLA. The relative proportions of saturated fatty acids (16:0, 18:0) were significantly (P < 0.01) increased, and those of monounsaturated (16:1, 18:1) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (18:2, 20:4 in muscle tissues) significantly (P < 0.05) reduced. Total serum cholesterol concentrations reached a maximum in broilers fed 1.0 % CLA and then decreased slightly (from 141.73 to 136.47 mg/dl; P < 0.01). The same was true also for HDL-cholesterol (from 113.58 to 109.97 mg/dl; The HDL cholesterol:total cholesterol ratio and serum triacylglycerol concentration was unaffected. In conclusion, feeding CLA to broiler chickens resulted in substantial incorporation of CLA isomers into their tissue lipids, thus providing a potential CLA-rich source for human consumption.  相似文献

Thirty female Large White x Landrace pigs (average weight 57.2 (sd 1.9) kg) were allocated to one of six dietary treatments containing 0, 1.25, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 or 10.0 g 55 % conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) isomers (CLA-55)/kg diet and fed for 8 weeks. Each pig was scanned at 0, 28 and 56 d and again at post slaughter using dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) to determine the temporal pattern of body composition responses. Values determined by DXA were adjusted using regression equations generated from validation experiments between chemically and DXA-predicted values. Overall, there was a significant linear reduction in fat content with the increasing levels of CLA in the diet (P=0.007, P=0.011, P=0.008 at week 4, week 8 and for the carcass, respectively). The greatest improvement was recorded at the early stages of CLA supplementation and for the highest dose of CLA (week 4, -19.2 % compared with week 8, -13.7 %). In the first 4 weeks of feeding CLA, pigs receiving 10 g CLA-55/kg diet deposited 93 g less fat/d than pigs fed basal diets (P=0.002) compared with only 6 g less fat than control animals in the final 4 weeks. Lean content and lean deposition rate were maximised at 5 and 2.5 g CLA-55/kg diet for the first 4 weeks (P=0.016) and the final 4 weeks of treatment respectively. DXA estimates of bone mineral content and bone mineral density were not affected by CLA supplementation throughout the experiment. These data demonstrate that dietary CLA decreases body fat in a dose-dependent manner and that the response is greatest over the initial 4 weeks of treatment.  相似文献

Conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) decrease the body fat content of rodents; the aim of this study was to determine whether dietary CLA altered carcass composition of pigs. Female Large White x Landrace pigs (n = 66) were used in this study. To obtain initial body composition, six pigs were slaughtered at 57 kg live weight, whereas the remaining pigs were allocated to one of six dietary treatments (0, 1.25, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5 and 10.0 g/kg CLA, containing 55% of CLA isomers). The diets, containing 14.3 MJ digestible energy (DE) and 9. 3 g available lysine per kg, were fed ad libitum for 8 wk. Dietary CLA had no significant effect on average daily gain (861 vs. 911 g/d for pigs fed diets with and without CLA, P = 0.15) or feed intake (2. 83 vs. 2.80 kg/d, P = 0.74). The gain to feed ratio was increased by dietary CLA by 6.3% (0.328 vs. 0.348, P = 0.009). Fat deposition decreased linearly (-8.2 +/- 2.09 g/d for each gram per kilogram increase in CLA concentration; P < 0.001) with increasing inclusion of CLA. At the highest level of CLA inclusion, fat deposition was decreased by 88 g/d (-31%). Similarly, the ratio of fat to lean tissue deposition decreased linearly (-0.093 +/- 0.0216 for each gram per kilogram increase in CLA concentration; P < 0.001) with increasing dietary CLA. The carcass lean tissue deposition response to dietary CLA was quadratic in nature and was maximized (+25%) at 5. 0 g/kg dietary CLA. Overall, dietary CLA increased the gain to feed ratio and lean tissue deposition and decreased fat deposition in finisher pigs.  相似文献

目的:研究纳米硒和亚硒酸钠对肉鸡生长和抗氧化的影响。方法:岭南黄雌雄混合雏780羽按试验要求分为13组,每组4个重复,每个重复15羽。将纳米硒和亚硒酸钠两种硒源分别以0.1、0.2、0.3、0.4、0.5、1.0mg/kg六个硒水平添加到基础日粮中,配制成12种试验日粮,基础日粮作对照。结果:(1)亚硒酸钠在0.2~0.5mg/kg添加水平肉鸡生长处于高峰平台,1.0mg/kg硒添加水平肉鸡生长显著低于0.2~0.4mg/kg硒添加水平。纳米硒添加1.0mg/kg,肉鸡生长仍然保持在高峰平台。硒添加浓度在0.1~0.3mg/kg时,亚硒酸钠和纳米硒对肉鸡生长无显著差异;硒添加浓度在0.4~1.0mg/kg时,纳米硒组肉鸡生长显著高于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05)。(2)硒添加浓度在0.1~0.4mg/kg时,两种硒对GSH-Px活性和全血硒无显著差异(P>0.05);在0.5和1.0mg/kg硒水平上,纳米硒组GSH-Px活性和全血硒显著高于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05)。(3)硒添加浓度在0.1~0.3mg/kg时,两种硒源对T-AOC、MDA和活性氧的影响无显著差异;硒浓度在0.4~1.0mg/kg硒时,纳米硒组T-AOC显著高于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05),MDA和活性氧显著低于亚硒酸钠组(P<0.05)。结论:纳米硒用于肉鸡的Weinberg剂量-效应的最适剂量范围宽于亚硒酸钠,高剂量添加时比亚硒酸钠具有更强的营养生物学作用,对肉鸡的安全性更高。  相似文献

Three growth trials were conducted with young chicks to evaluate crude protein (CP) utilization in soybean meal (SBM) as affected by dietary addition of microbial phytase. In assay 1, chicks were fed two CP-deficient (50 or 150 g CP/kg) levels of dehulled SBM, and each SBM level was then supplemented with equimolar amounts of cystine or methionine (Met) or with 1200 U phytase/kg. At 50 g CP/kg, cystine or Met supplementation improved (P < 0.05) measures of growth performance, but when 150 g CP/kg from SBM was fed, only Met addition improved (P < 0.05) weight gain, food efficiency and protein efficiency ratio (PER). Thus, Cys was more limiting than Met in the diet that contained 50 g CP/kg, but Met was clearly first-limiting in the diet that contained 150 g CP/kg. Phytase supplementation did not improve (P > 0.10) chick performance at either level of CP. Chicks in assay 2 were fed 100 g CP/kg furnished by SBM, casein or corn gluten meal in the absence and presence of 1200 U phytase/kg. Weight gain, gain/food and PER values were greater (P < 0.05) in chicks fed SBM than in those fed casein, and greater (P < 0.05) in chicks fed casein than in those fed corn gluten meal. Phytase supplementation had no effect (P > 0.10) on any measure of chick performance, regardless of the protein source fed. In assay 3, three deficient levels of CP (50, 100 and 150 g/kg) from SBM were fed in the absence and presence of 1200 U dietary phytase/kg. Weight gain, food efficiency and protein accretion increased linearly (P < 0.05) as a function of protein intake, but phytase supplementation had no effect (P > 0.10) on slopes of the body weight and protein accretion curves. Likewise, phytase addition did not affect (P > 0.10) measures of protein utilization, i.e., weight gain/protein intake and protein gain/protein intake at any of the CP levels that were fed. Because sulfur amino acids are the growth-limiting factors when protein-deficient levels of SBM are fed to young chicks, we conclude that dietary addition of phytase does not improve sulfur amino acid utilization in SBM.  相似文献

Three experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of dietary glycine (Gly) supplementation on inflammatory responses in broiler chicks fed a basal diet using maize and soybean meal as the primary ingredients. Inflammation-related processes following lipopolysaccharide (LPS) injection were examined by analysing plasma concentrations of nitrate plus nitrite (NOx) and ceruloplasmin (Cer) in experiments 1 and 2, or expression of several genes in the spleen and liver including IL-1 beta and -6, TNF-like ligand (TL)1A, inducible NO synthase, interferon (IFN)-gamma and toll-like receptor (TLR) 4 were examined in experiment 3. Growth performance was also determined following immunological stimulation by both LPS and Sephadex injection in experiment 2. In experiment 1, birds fed a diet supplemented with Gly at 10 or 20 g/kg showed lower responses in plasma NOx and Cer than birds fed the diet supplemented with Gly at 0 or 40 g/kg. In experiment 2, a similar effect of Gly supplementation at 10 g/kg on plasma NOx and Cer was observed when chicks were fed either an isonitrogenous diet with Gly or glutamic acid (Glu). Gly-supplemented diet-fed birds showed better growth performance than Glu-supplemented diet-fed birds. The splenic expression of inflammatory response-related genes in birds fed a diet supplemented with Gly at 10 g/kg diet was lower than that of birds fed the basal diet in experiment 3. These results suggest that dietary Gly supplementation modulates the inflammatory response partly through changes in the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, IFN-gamma and TL1A.  相似文献

Ninety-six 14-d-old male broiler chicks were divided into three dietary groups and fed a corn-soybean meal diet, a barley diet with beta-glucanase and that diet without beta-glucanase. All diets contained 4 g cholesterol/kg. Average daily body weight gain, plasma total cholesterol concentration, LDL cholesterol concentration and digestibility of lipids and protein were lowest (P < 0.05) in the chicks fed the barley diet without beta-glucanase and highest (P < 0.05) in the chicks fed corn-soybean meal diet. Supplementation of the barley diet with beta-glucanase resulted in greater (P < 0.05) average daily weight gain, plasma total and LDL cholesterol concentrations and digestibility of lipids. Viscosity of small intestinal digesta was greatest in chicks fed barley, lowest in those fed the corn-soybean diet and intermediate in chicks fed enzyme-treated barley. Significant (P < 0.01) negative correlations occurred between viscosity of the small intestinal contents and average daily weight gain, plasma total and LDL cholesterol concentrations, and digestibility of lipids and protein. A lower concentration of insoluble beta-glucans in small intestinal digesta of the chicks fed barley supplemented with beta-glucanase compared with the chicks fed the unsupplemented barley diet reflects hydrolytic activity of the supplemental beta-glucanase in the diet.  相似文献

One of the objectives of the present study was to investigate whether 1 % conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) in the diet reduced tumour incidence in the colon of 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH)-treated rats. Colon cancer was induced by injecting 6-week-old, male, Sprague-Dawley rats with 15 mg/kg DMH twice per week for 6 weeks. They were fed either 1 % CLA or a control diet ad libitum for 30 weeks. Dietary CLA significantly decreased colon tumour incidence (P<0.05). Our second objective was to investigate whether apoptosis in the colon mucosa of DMH-treated rats was affected by the amount of dietary CLA and whether the changes in apoptosis were related to those in fatty acid-responsive biomarkers. For this purpose, rats were killed after being fed a diet containing 0 %, 0.5 %, 1 % or 1.5 % CLA for 14 weeks. CLA was undetected in the mucosa of rats fed the 0 % CLA diet and increased to 5.9 mg/g phospholipid in rats fed the 0.5 % diet. The apoptotic index estimated by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick and labelling technique was increased by 251 % and the 1,2-diacylglycerol content was decreased by 57 % in rats fed 0.5 % CLA. No further changes in these variables were observed when CLA in the diet was raised to 1.0 % or 1.5 %. However, dietary CLA decreased mucosal levels of prostaglandin E2, thromboxane B2 and arachidonic acid in a dose-dependent manner. The present data indicate that dietary CLA can inhibit DMH-induced colon carcinogenesis by mechanisms probably involving increased apoptosis.  相似文献

The effect of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA), in particular conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), on Ca and bone metabolism is unclear. In a 2x2 factorial design study, forty male 4-week-old rats were fed a control diet containing 70 g added fat (soyabean oil (SBO; n-6 PUFA-rich diet) or menhaden oil-safflower oil (MSO; n-3 PUFA-rich diet))/kg diet with 0 or 10 g CLA/kg for 8 weeks. Ex vivo prostaglandin E2 biosynthesis by bone organ culture was significantly higher (P<0.001) in rats consuming SBO compared with MSO, irrespective of CLA. Addition of the CLA treatment to either diet further lowered (P<0.05) ex vivo prostaglandin E2 production. Neither PUFA type nor CLA altered circulating or femoral mRNA levels of osteocalcin (a marker of bone formation) or insulin-like growth factor-I (a mediator of bone metabolism). While urinary pyridinium crosslinks levels (markers of bone resorption) were unaffected by CLA irrespective of PUFA type, they were significantly higher (P<0.05) in rats consuming SBO compared with MSO irrespective of CLA. Net fractional (%) and absolute (mg) Ca absorption were significantly (P<0.01 and P<0.05 respectively) higher in CLA-supplemented than unsupplemented animals fed on the n-3 PUFA-rich diet, whereas CLA had no effect in animals fed the n-6 PUFA-rich diet. There was no effect of CLA supplementation on bone mineral mass. In conclusion, CLA supplementation over 8 weeks appeared to enhance Ca absorption in young growing rats fed an n-3 PUFA-rich diet, but had no measurable effect on bone metabolism or bone mass over this time frame.  相似文献

This study was designed to determine the amount of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) incorporated into egg lipids after dietary CLA supplementation. Single Comb White Leghorn laying hens (n = 40; 28 wk old) were randomly assigned to four treatments of varying CLA levels (0, 0.01, 0.5 and 1 g CLA/kg diet). Eggs were collected daily for 36 d. Feed consumption and body weight were monitored. CLA content of egg yolk lipid was analyzed by gas-liquid chromatography. Birds fed 0.5 and 1.0 g CLA/kg feed had significantly more CLA in the egg yolk lipid vs. control and 0.01 g CLA/kg diet groups after 7 d (P < 0.0004). Incorporation of CLA into egg lipid was highest on d 24 and 36. CLA enrichment in egg lipid in the 1.0 g CLA/kg diet group was similar to that in ruminant animal food products, approximately 3 mg CLA/g fat.  相似文献

Since excess dietary lysine (Lys) can increase the chick's arginine (Arg) requirement and excess Arg can increase the chick's methionine (Met) requirement, experiments were conducted to test the hypothesis that responses to dietary Lys and Met are also interrelated. Day-old Ross x Ross chicks were fed a maize-soyabean meal-based diet supplemented with four levels of L-Arg (0, 5, 10 or 20 g/kg), factorially arranged with four levels of supplemental DL-Met (0, 1, 2 or 3 g/kg). Three replicate pens of ten chicks each were randomly assigned to each treatment and fed for 14 d. An increase in Arg in the diet caused growth and feed-intake depression (P=0.0001), but increasing Met in the diet enhanced growth and feed intake (P=0.0001). Arg toxicity was dependent on the Met level of the diet (Arg x Met interaction; P=0.0153). Experiment 2 was conducted to study interrelationships among Arg, Met, and Lys. Eight treatments were factorially combined: two levels of supplemental L-Arg (0 or 10 g/kg), two levels of supplemental DL-Met (0 or 2 g/kg), and two levels of supplemental L-Lys (0 or 6 g/kg). Six replicate pens of eight chicks per treatment were used. A three-way interaction among Arg, Met, and Lys was observed for body-weight gain and feed intake (P<0.023). As expected, kidney arginase activity increased as dietary Lys increased (P=0.0004). No interactions were found for kidney arginase activity. Muscle creatine increased when chicks were fed the higher Arg (25.2 g/kg) diet (P=0.0047). A three-way interaction among Arg, Met, and Lys was found for muscle creatine (P=0.0075). Excess dietary Lys depressed muscle creatinine concentration, but only in the presence of the lower concentrations of Arg and Met. To conclude, an interrelationship among Arg, Met, and Lys was demonstrated, and it was probably related to creatine biosynthesis.  相似文献

Conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) are positional isomers of linoleic acid which have been suggested by some to possess antiatherosclerotic properties. To test this hypothesis, three groups of twenty C57BL/6 mice were fed on atherogenic diets containing: 5 g CLA/kg, 2.5 g CLA + 2.5 g linoleic acid/kg or 5 g linoleic acid/kg. All diets were fed for 15 weeks and contained (g/kg): triacylglycerol 145, free fatty acids 5, cholesterol 10 and cholic acid 5. At the completion of the experimental period, when data from both groups fed on CLA were combined, dietary CLA did not produce significant differences in body weight, serum total cholesterol concentration or serum HDL-cholesterol concentration. However, mice receiving CLA developed a significantly higher serum HDL-cholesterol: total cholesterol ratio and a significantly lower serum triacylglycerol concentration than controls. Despite causing a serum lipoprotein profile considered to be less atherogenic, the addition of CLA to the atherogenic diet increased the development of aortic fatty streaks. Considering the increased atherogenesis associated with dietary CLA in the present study, and the failure to demonstrate a significant beneficial effect of CLA in other animal studies, there is currently no conclusive evidence to support the hypothesis that CLA protect against atherogenesis.  相似文献

Fast-growing broiler chicks are susceptible to Se deficiency diseases including exudative diathesis (ED). Our objective was to determine if ED could be induced by feeding a current, practical diet and if the incidence was related to selenogenome expression in liver and muscle of chicks. Four groups of day-old broiler chicks (n = 60/group) were fed a corn-soy basal diet (BD; 14 μg Se/kg; produced in the Se-deficient area of Sichuan, China and not supplemented with Se or vitamin E), the BD and all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate at 50 mg/kg and Se (as sodium selenite) at 0.3 mg/kg, or both of these nutrients for 6 wk. A high incidence of ED and mortality of chicks were induced by the BD. The incidences and mortality were completely prevented by supplemental dietary Se but were only partially decreased by supplemental α-tocopherol acetate. Dietary Se deficiency decreased (P < 0.05) mRNA levels of 7 common selenoprotein genes (Gpx1, Gpx4, Sepw1, Sepn1, Sepp1, Selo, and Selk) in muscle and liver. Whereas supplementing α-tocopherol acetate enhanced (P < 0.05) only the muscle Sepx1 mRNA level, it actually decreased (P < 0.05) hepatic Gpx1, Seli, Txnrd1, and Txnrd2 mRNA levels. In conclusion, dietary Se protected chicks from the Se deficiency disease ED, probably by upregulating selenoprotein genes coding for oxidation- and/or lesion-protective proteins. The protection by vitamin E might be mediated via selenoproteins not assayed in this study and/or Se-independent mechanisms. The inverse relationship between hepatic expression of 4 redox-related selenoprotein genes and vitamin E status revealed a novel interaction between Se and vitamin E in vivo.  相似文献

The effect of dietary conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) on body composition and energy metabolism was investigated in broiler chickens. Male broiler chicks were assigned to receive either a control diet (1 % sunflower oil) or a diet containing CLA (1 % of a 1:1 mixture of trans-10, cis-12 and cis-9, trans-11 isomers of octadecadienoic acid). The diets were fed ad libitum for 3 weeks and there were eight replicates per diet, each replicate including four chickens so that each treatment had thirty-two animals. The proportion of body fat was lower in the control group than in the CLA group. No significant differences as to the proportions of body water, ash and protein were observed. Feed and energy intake were significantly lower in CLA-fed birds. The percentage of ingested energy lost in excreta was higher after CLA feeding and heat expenditure as a percentage of ingested energy was lower in the CLA-fed group. The CLA-fed group showed a higher percentage of SFA and lower percentages of MUFA and PUFA in carcass fat. It is concluded that CLA stimulated de novo fatty acid synthesis and lowered desaturase activity.  相似文献

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a naturally occurring group of dienoic derivatives of linoleic acid found in beef and dairy products. However, when 1 g CLA/100 g diet was given to mice in a low fat diet (4 g fat/100 g diet), they showed a marked decrease in fat mass, but demonstrated symptoms of lipoatrophic diabetes, i.e., marked hepatomegaly and insulin resistance. In this study, to determine whether the decrease in adipose tissue was responsible for these adverse effects, mice were fed different doses of CLA and dietary fat. In Experiment 1, mice were fed different doses of CLA (0, 0.1 and 1 g CLA/100 g diet) in a fixed 4 g fat/100 g diet; in those fed 0.1 g CLA, subcutaneous white adipose tissue (WAT) weight was 48% lower than in mice fed 0 g CLA. The mice fed 0.1 g CLA did not exhibit hepatomegaly and insulin resistance. In Experiment 2, mice were fed for 5 mo different amounts of dietary fat (4, 13 and 34 g fat/100 g diet) in 0 or 1 g CLA/100 g diet; in mice fed 1 g CLA with 34 g fat, retroperitoneal and subcutaneous WAT weights were 76 and 79% lower, respectively, than those of mice fed 0 g CLA with 34 g fat. Mice fed 1 g CLA in the diet with 34 g fat had normal plasma insulin concentrations and a 45% greater liver weight. These data suggested that the percentage of CLA in dietary fat might be a determinant of CLA-mediated lipodystrophy.  相似文献

Chicken hepatic malic enzyme activity varies with dietary protein content. The mechanisms responsible for this alteration in activity are unclear. In a series of four experiments, broiler chicks were allowed free access for 1.5, 3, 6 or 24 h to a low (13 g/100 g diet), basal (22 g/100 g diet) or high (40 g/100 g diet) protein diet. The diets were isocaloric and had equal concentrations of dietary fat. Hepatic malic enzyme mRNA expression and enzyme activity as well as total liver lipid concentration were examined for each experimental duration. There were no differences in the expression of the mRNA for malic enzyme at 1.5 h, but at 3, 6 and 24 h, malic enzyme mRNA expression was significantly (P < 0.05) reduced in chicks fed the high protein diet and significantly enhanced in chicks fed the low protein diet compared with chicks fed the basal diet. Hepatic malic enzyme activities and total lipid concentration were not different among the chicks fed the different diets at 1.5 and 3 h. At 6 and 24 h, malic enzyme activity and total liver lipid concentration were both significantly greater in birds fed the low protein diet compared with levels in the birds fed the other two diets. In birds fed the high protein diet, malic enzyme activity and total liver lipid concentration were significantly reduced at 24 h compared with birds fed the basal diet. In a final experiment, the observed differences in malic enzyme mRNA expression at 6 h were confirmed when chicks were given access to isocaloric diets with the same protein levels as the initial 4 experiments, but with the dietary concentration of carbohydrate held constant. The results suggest that previously observed alterations in the activity of malic enzyme, which were correlated with dietary protein intake, are due to rapid changes in the mRNA expression of this enzyme.  相似文献

A soy-protein isolate diet that contained essentially no bioavailable vitamin B-6 was used to establish the quantitative effect of excess dietary methionine on the vitamin B-6 requirement of young chicks. When made adequate in vitamin B-6, chicks fed the basal diet required 2 g/kg supplemental DL-methionine to achieve maximal growth, and 10 g/kg additional DL-methionine (total = 12 g/kg) was found to be a tolerable excess level that would not depress voluntary food intake or growth rate. When chicks were fed seven graded doses of supplemental pyridoxine (PN) in diets that contained either adequate (2 g/kg) or excess (12 g/kg) methionine, the vitamin B-6 requirement for maximal growth was found to increase (P: < 0.01) from 0.73 to 1.05 mg/kg, a 44% increase, when 10 g/kg excess methionine was present in the diet. Indeed, this level of excess dietary methionine depressed (P: < 0.01) growth at all PN dose levels < or =1 mg/kg, but not at PN doses of 1.2 or 1.4 mg/kg. Because dietary intakes of both vitamin B-6 and methionine can affect plasma homocysteine levels, dietary methionine (and protein) intake should be considered important factors in setting safe and adequate requirement levels for vitamin B-6.  相似文献

The growth of broiler chickens on diets containing various levels of Lemna gibba was evaluated. Groups of broiler chicks were fed on diets containing 0-400 g Lemna gibba/kg for 3 weeks. These chickens were then changed to standard diets for a further 2 weeks. As the level of Lemna gibba increased, feed consumption and weight gain decreased. However, when diets were changed to the standard diet, compensatory growth was observed. In a second experiment, diets were formulated with a metabolizable energy of 5.02 MJ (1200 kcal)/kg Lemna gibba and included a finer-milled Lemna gibba. Chickens were fed on diets containing 0-300 g Lemna gibba/kg for 4 weeks. Each group was then divided into two subgroups. For the next 2 weeks one of these sub-groups was maintained on the experimental (Lemna gibba) diets (LL), while the other sub-group was changed to a standard diet (LS). Bird fed at levels above 150 g Lemna gibba/kg had decreased consumption and weight gain. These birds when changed to a standard diet tended to have increased weight gain compared with chickens continuously fed standard rations. LS birds had significantly higher weight gains and feed consumption and lower feed conversion than LL birds. In contrast to older birds, chicks fed on Lemna gibba at high concentrations showed growth retardation. When changed back to a standard diet they demonstrated normal or compensatory growth.  相似文献

目的 : 研究不同类型多不饱和脂肪酸 (PUFA)对产蛋鸡体液免疫功能、淋巴细胞前列腺素 E2 合成及机体脂质过氧化的影响。方法 :  360只 60 w龄的海兰褐产蛋鸡随机分为 1 0个处理组 ,各组试验日粮为 :对照组 (不添加油脂 ) ;鱼油三个添加水平 (1 %、3%、5% ) ;胡麻油三个添加水平 (2 %、4%、6% ) ;玉米油三个添加水平 (2 %、4%、6% )。结果 : 添加不饱和油脂均可以提高血清抗体效价 ,其中鱼油和胡麻油添加组与对照组相比差异显著 (P<0 .0 5) ;添加玉米油组的血清溶菌酶含量显著低于其它油脂添加组和对照组 (P<0 .0 1 ) ;添加鱼油和胡麻油组的外周血淋巴细胞 PGE2 的合成量显著低于添加玉米油组 (P<0 .0 5) ;不同水平多不饱和脂肪酸的添加影响了肝脏组织脂质过氧化分解产物丙二醛 (MDA)的含量 ,随着不饱和油脂添加量的提高 ,MDA含量呈上升的趋势 ,但是 6%玉米油组显著低于鱼油 5%添加组 (P<0 .0 5)。结论 : 在本试验条件下 ,产蛋鸡日粮中添加不同类型的多不饱和脂肪酸可以影响动物的免疫反应和肝组织脂质过氧化作用  相似文献
