Environmental dermatitis: contact dermatitis from Pinus radiata.

Various forms of contact dermatitis from Pinus radiata sawdust are described and illustrated by three cases. The sawdust causes industrial dermatitis which can be chronic and the purpose of the paper is to alert Australian practitioners.     

Urticarial contact dermatitis in food handlers

OBJECTIVE: To show that prick testing (using fresh samples of the food suspected from the patient's history) and not only patch testing is the appropriate investigation in selected cases of hand dermatitis in patients who spend considerable time handling foods (for example, catering workers, cooks). SETTING: The Contact and Occupational Dermatitis Clinic at the Skin and Cancer Foundation, a tertiary referral centre in Sydney. PATIENTS: Fourteen patients with hand dermatitis present for an average of 6.17 years referred by dermatologists and occupational health physicians. INTERVENTIONS: Patch and prick tests were performed for each patient. RESULT: In all patients prick tests identified the food allergens. Seafood was the most common allergen giving positive results in 10 patients. Patch tests did not identify any of the food allergens. Of the 14 patients nine were followed up and seven of these had been forced to change their career direction. CONCLUSION: Prick testing is the appropriate investigation in selected cases for the diagnosis of urticarial contact dermatitis in food handlers.     

外阴接触性皮炎的发生及正确评估

女性外阴瘙痒是皮肤科及妇产科门诊的常见症状,外阴接触性皮炎是最常引起外阴瘙痒症状的原因之一。文中就外阴皮肤对于接触性刺激及过敏的敏感性,刺激性接触性皮炎(irritant contact dermatitis,ICD)及过敏性接触性皮炎(allergic contact dermatitis,ACD)的发病情况,外阴药物接触性皮炎及如何正确认识和评估外阴接触性皮炎等方面进行综述。     

Occupational contact dermatitis in manual cloud seeding operations

This is a case report on irritant contact dermatitis secondary to calcium oxide exposure during manual cloud seeding operations. A less hazardous substitute such as sodium chloride should be considered wherever possible. Cloud seeding operations are briefly discussed in this report, and the impact of calcium oxide exposure as an occupational hazard is elaborated.     

金属硫蛋白基因对小鼠变应性接触性皮炎的影响

目的：探讨金属硫蛋白（metallothioneins,MTs)在小鼠变应性接触性皮炎中所起的作用。方法：用二硝基氟苯（dinitrofluorobenzene,JNFB)致敏金属硫蛋白基因敲除小鼠（metallothionein-null mouse,MT-/-,不表达MT－I及MT－Ⅱ）及基因同源对照野生型鼠（MT＋／＋，正常表达MTs)，并在小鼠右耳激发变应性接触性皮炎，分别对比两组小鼠激发后耳肿胀度。结果：野生型鼠（MT＋／＋）耳肿胀度明显高于基因敲除鼠（MT－／－），统计学分析差异有显著性（P＜0．05，t检验）。结论：MTs在迟发型变态反应的炎症过程中起重要作用，MT－／－小鼠不能完全表达迟发型变态反应的炎症。

1　病例报告　女 ,4 8岁 ,因左肩周炎首次外擦法斯通凝胶 ,每日 2～ 3次 ,涂药后充分按摩使之易于吸收 .4ｄ后于左肩部接触部位出现红斑、水疱、肿胀 ,自觉灼热、瘙痒等 .1ｗｋ后皮疹渐扩大 ,皮损边缘仍有扩展趋势 .查体 :左肩部有弥漫性红斑 ,呈鲜红色、丘疹、丘疱疹、大小水疱 ,大疱糜烂 ,有渗液 ,边界清楚 .诊断 :接触性皮炎 .立即停用法斯通凝胶 .口服泼尼松 10ｍｇ ,3次·ｄ-1;西替刺嗪 10ｍｇ,1次·ｄ-1.局部用生理盐水反复冲洗后 ,再用 30 ｇ·Ｌ-1硼酸溶液湿敷 ,待渗出、水肿消失后改用派瑞松霜 (西安杨森制药有限公司生产 )外擦 ,1…
