BackgroundIt is unclear how epilepsy may affect total joint arthroplasty outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of epilepsy on prosthesis-related complications following primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA).MethodsA retrospective cohort study was conducted using a national database. Patients who have epilepsy underwent a primary THA (n = 6,981) and TKA (n = 4,987) and were matched 1:4 (THA, n = 27,924; TKA, n = 19,948). Rates of low-energy falls and prosthesis-related complications within 2 years postoperatively were compared for patients who did and did not have epilepsy with multivariable logistic regression.ResultsAfter primary TKA, patients who have epilepsy exhibited significantly higher rates of aseptic revision (4.3% versus 3.5%, odds ratio [OR] 1.21, P = .017) and revision for prosthetic joint infection (1.8% versus 1.3%, OR 1.29, P = .041). THA patients who have epilepsy exhibited significantly higher rates of prosthetic dislocation (3.2% versus 1.9%, OR 1.54, P < .001), periprosthetic fracture (2.2% versus 0.8%, OR 2.39, P < .001), and aseptic loosening (1.7% versus 1.1%, OR 1.40, P = .002). Rates of low-energy falls within 2 years after TKA (14.1% versus 6.4%, OR 2.19, P < .001) and THA (33.6% versus 7.5%, OR 5.95, P < .001) were also significantly higher for patients who have epilepsy.ConclusionEpilepsy was associated with significantly higher rates of falls (P < .001) and prosthesis-related complications after primary THA (P < .05) and TKA (P < .05). Precautions should be implemented in this population during intraoperative and perioperative decision-making to reduce complication risk.Level of EvidenceLevel III.  相似文献

BackgroundThe purpose of this study is to review the outcomes of a consecutive series of arthroplasty patients who had previously failed a urine toxicology test. Specifically, we assessed (1) mortality at last follow-up; (2) 90-day readmission and reoperation; (3) rate of complications; and (4) hospital length of stay (LOS) and rates of nonhome discharge.MethodsA single-institution, electronic medical record database was queried for primary arthroplasty patients from 2006 to 2017 who had previously failed a day-of-arthroplasty urine toxicology screen. Patients were matched in a 2:1 ratio with toxicology-negative controls.ResultsThe mortality rate among toxicology-positive THA patients was 1 of 20 (5%) compared to 0 of 40 among controls (P = .333); the rate of readmission was 3 of 20 (15%) vs 0 of 40 (P = .033); the rate of reoperation was 1 of 20 vs 0 of 40 (P = .333); the rate of surgical complications was 6 of 20 (30%) vs 1 of 40 (2.5%) (P = .004); the rate of medical complication was 4 of 20 (20%) vs 1 of 40 (2.5%) (P = .038); the average LOS was 4 days (range, 1-8 days) vs 2 days (range, 1-10) (P = .002); and the rate of nonhome discharge was 5 of 20 (25%) vs 2 of 40 (5%) patients in the control group (P = .013). The mortality rate among toxicology-positive TKA patients was 1 of 19 (5.3%) compared to 0 of 38 among controls (P = .333); the rate of readmission was 5 of 19 (26.3%) vs 2 of 39 (5.3%) (P = .033); the rate of reoperation was 3 of 19 (15.8%) vs zero (P = .033); the rate of surgical complications was 4 of 21 (21.1%) vs 1 of 38 (2.6%) (P = .038); the rate of medical complications was 5 of 19 (26.3%) vs 2 of 38 (5.3%) (P = .035); the average LOS was 4 days (range, 2-6 days) vs 2 days (range, 1-8 days) (P = .001), the rate of nonhome discharge was 7 of 19 (36.8%) compared to 2 of 38 (5.3%) in the control group (P = .004).ConclusionThese results suggest that toxicology-positive patients require a careful discussion of goals of care before undertaking total hip arthroplasty or total knee arthroplasty.  相似文献

Zoledronic acid (ZA) is an effective agent in osteoporosis and malignancy-related bone disease but may be associated with increased risk of atrial fibrillation (AF), although current studies disagree on this risk. To examine the risk of incident AF among patients receiving ZA compared with denosumab in the first year of treatment, we performed a new-user, active comparator cohort study including privately insured Americans between January 1, 2010, and June 30, 2019. Individuals aged ≥50 years without known arrhythmia or advanced kidney disease who initiated ZA were 1:1 propensity score (PS)-matched to individuals initiating denosumab in separate osteoporosis and malignancy cohorts. The primary outcome was incident diagnosis of AF (≥ 1 inpatient or ≥ 2 outpatient diagnostic codes) over 1 year. Secondary outcomes included stroke/transient ischemic attack (TIA) and nonvertebral fracture. In the osteoporosis cohort (n = 16,235 pairs), mean age was 71 years, and 93% were female. There was higher risk of AF with ZA compared with denosumab over 1 year (incidence rate [IR] = 18.6 versus 14.9 per 1000 person-years; hazard ratio [HR] = 1.25; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.04 to 1.50). In the malignancy cohort (n = 7732 pairs), mean age was 70 years, and 66% were female. There was a numerically higher, albeit not statistically significant, risk of AF with ZA compared with denosumab over 1 year (IR = 46.9 versus 39.0 per 1000 person-years; HR = 1.19; 95% CI 1.00 to 1.43; p = 0.06). No difference in stroke/TIA rates occurred. In the malignancy cohort, ZA was less effective than denosumab at preventing nonvertebral fractures (HR = 1.32; 95% CI 1.01 to 1.74). Compared with denosumab, ZA treatment for osteoporosis and possibly for malignancy-related bone disease is associated with modestly increased risk of incident AF in the first year of treatment. © 2020 American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR).  相似文献

BackgroundEnd-stage hemophilic arthropathy is the result of recurrent joint hemarthrosis. Although total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) can reduce severe joint pain and improve functional activity, controversy remains regarding outcomes after THA and TKA among patients with hemophilia. This study evaluated the risk of adverse outcomes of hemophilia patients who underwent THA and TKA.MethodsThis retrospective cohort study was conducted using data from the National Health Insurance Research Database. Patients who had hemophilia and underwent THA and TKA between 2000 and 2015 were identified. A total of 121 patients with hemophilia and 194,026 patients without hemophilia were included. Through propensity score matching, patients with hemophilia were matched at a 1:4 ratio to patients without hemophilia. Multivariable regression analysis was used to control for confounding variables and compare the risk of postoperative complications and mortality, differences in length of stay, and cost of care for the hospital.ResultsAfter propensity score matching and multivariate regression analysis, the adjusted hazard ratio of postoperative transfusion for hemophilia patients was 5.262 (95% confidence interval [CI] = 3.044-26.565, P < .001) in THA group and 6.279 (95% CI = 3.246-28.903, P < .001) in TKA group, when compared with the control group. Patients with hemophilia had longer length of hospital stay (THA group: 95% CI, 1.541-2.669, P < .001; TKA group: 95% CI, 1.568-2.786; P < .001) and higher total hospital charges (THA group: 95% CI, 3.518-8.293, P < .001; TKA group: 95% CI, 3.584-8.842; P < .001) compared to patients without hemophilia. Hemophiliacs had a higher yet nonsignificant 1-year infection rate (8.11% vs 3.38%, P = .206) in the THA group. There were no differences between the rates of 30-day and 90-day complications, 1-year infection, reoperation and mortality between the hemophilia and nonhemophilia groups.ConclusionHemophilia patients have higher rates of postoperative transfusion, hospital costs, and increased length of stay. There is an appreciable clinical difference in 1-year infection rates following THA but our analysis was limited by the small sample size. Other postoperative complications and mortality rates were comparable. Patients with hemophilia should be counseled that infection rate maybe as high as 8% following THA. Further investigation is needed to develop prophylactic and effective methods to decrease the rates of transfusions and associated adverse outcomes in hemophilia patients undergoing THA and TKA.  相似文献

Background

Improvements in surgical techniques, implant design, and adherence to indications have resulted in favorable outcomes after unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA), particularly in an older population. However, no studies have compared the performance of contemporary UKA and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in a young population.

Methods

Prospectively collected registry data of 160 UKAs performed in 160 patients younger than 55 years were reviewed. Propensity scores generated using logistic regression were used to adjust for confounding variables of age, gender, body mass index, preoperative range of motion, Knee Society Score, Oxford Knee Score, and Short-Form 36, allowing matching of the TKA cohort to the UKA cohort in a 1:1 ratio using the nearest-neighbor method.

Results

The UKA group had significantly greater flexion at 6 months and 2 years (P < .001). There was no significant difference in Knee Society Score, Oxford Knee Score, and Short-Form 36. At 2 years, 89.4% and 88.8% of the TKA and UKA groups were satisfied (P = 1.00) while 86.9% and 86.3% had their expectations fulfilled (P = 1.00). At a mean follow-up of 7 years, there were 2 revisions in each group (2.2%).

Conclusion

Although native knee biomechanics are preserved, younger patients do not seem to perceive this oft-cited benefit of UKA, as this did not translate into greater health-related quality of life or patient satisfaction compared to TKA. The theoretical advantages of UKA were not borne out by our findings, other than greater flexion up to 2 years postoperatively.  相似文献

Background

As orthopedics transition to value-based purchasing, hospitals and providers are incentivized to identify inefficiencies of care delivery. In our experience, weekends are characterized by decreased staffing of ancillary services to coordinate patient discharges, which can lead to prolonged hospital stays for many of our primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) admissions.

Methods

We identified 115,053 patients who underwent primary TKA on a weekday between 2009 and 2013 in New York State. We used mixed effects regression models to compare length of stay (LOS), 90-day readmission, and cost according to the day of TKA.

Results

Mean LOS was significantly higher for surgeries performed on Wednesday (P < .001), Thursday (P < .001), and Friday (P < .001). There was no significant difference in 90-day readmission risk according to day of surgery. Mean cost was significantly higher for surgeries performed on Wednesday (P < .001), Thursday (P < .001), and Friday (P < .001). When LOS was held constant across every day of the week, the mean cost of TKA decreased by $247 for Wednesday, $627 for Thursday, and $394 for Friday.

Conclusion

Primary TKA performed later in the week is associated with an increased LOS and increased costs of admission, but a similar risk of 90-day readmission. Preferential scheduling of primary TKA cases early in the week, as well as the development of standardized clinical care pathways with appropriate weekend staffing of social work and rehabilitation services, could help to decrease the daily variation in LOS and increase the value of TKA episodes.  相似文献

BackgroundCurrent literature lacks consensus regarding the impact of advanced age on the clinical outcomes of total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Moreover, there is paucity of literature on the subjective benefit reported by elderly patients. We compared the functional outcomes, quality of life, and satisfaction rates between octogenarians and age-appropriate controls undergoing primary TKA with a minimum follow-up of 2 years.MethodsProspectively collected registry data of 594 patients aged ≥80 years (n = 594) and a propensity score matched cohort of 594 patients aged 65-74 years who underwent primary TKA at a single institution were reviewed. The range of motion, clinical outcome scores, and satisfaction rates were assessed at 6 months and 2 years. Revision rates were also recorded.ResultsOctogenarians had a significantly lower Knee Society Function Score, Oxford Knee Score, and SF-36 Physical Component Summary at 6 months and 2 years (P < .05 for each). Furthermore, a lower proportion of octogenarians achieved the minimal clinically important difference for each score (P < .05 for each). Although the rates were similar at 6 months (P = .853), octogenarians were less satisfied at 2 years compared to age-appropriate controls (89.3% vs 93.3%, P = .042), and there was a trend toward poorer expectation fulfillment (88.4% vs 92.1%, P = .062).ConclusionOctogenarians undergoing TKA had a relatively lower rate of satisfaction and clinically meaningful improvement compared to younger controls. Nevertheless, elderly patients still experienced a successful outcome after surgery. The clinical trajectory outlined may help clinicians provide valuable prognostic information to elderly patients and guide preoperative counseling.  相似文献

BackgroundWe investigated clinical/functional outcomes and implant survivorship in patients who underwent 2-stage revision total knee arthroplasty (TKA) after periprosthetic joint infection (PJI), experienced acute PJI recurrence, and underwent irrigation, débridement, and polyethylene exchange (IDPE) with retention of stable implant.MethodsTwenty-four patients (24 knees) were identified who underwent 2-stage revision TKA for PJI, experienced acute PJI recurrence, and then underwent IDPE between 2005 and 2016 (minimum 2-year follow-up). After IDPE, intravenous antibiotics (6 weeks) and oral suppression therapy (minimum 6 months) were administered. Data were compared with 1:2 matched control group that underwent 2-stage revision TKA for chronic PJI and did not receive IDPE.ResultsAverage IDPE group follow-up was 3.8 years (range, 2.4-7.2). Reinfection rate after IDPE was 29% (n = 7): 3 of 7 underwent second IDPE (2 of 3 had no infection recurrence) and 5 (one was patient who had recurrent infection after second IDPE) underwent another 2-stage revision TKA. Control group reinfection rate was 27% (n = 13) (P = .85). For IDPE group, mean time to reinfection after 2-stage revision TKA was 4.6 months (range, 1-8 months) (patients presented with acute symptoms less than 3 weeks duration). At latest follow-up, mean Knee Society Score was 70 (range, 35-85) in IDPE group and 75 (range, 30-85) in control group (P = .53).ConclusionIDPE for acute reinfection following 2-stage revision TKA with well-fixed implants had a 71% success rate. These patients had comparable functional outcome as patients with no IDPE after 2-stage revision TKA. IDPE followed by long-term suppression antibiotic therapy should be considered in patients with acute infection and stable components.  相似文献

BackgroundThe purpose of this study is to determine if the number and types of patient-reported drug allergies are associated with prosthetic joint infection (PJI) and functional outcomes following total joint arthroplasty (TJA).MethodsThis is a retrospective review of all patients who underwent a primary, elective total hip (THA) or knee arthroplasty (TKA) over a 10-year period at a single academic institution. Demographic, clinical information, and number and type of patient-reported drug allergy was collected. Univariate and multivariate logistic regressions were performed to identify risk factors for PJI and risk of PJI based on number of allergies. Univariate analysis was also performed to identify if the number of patient-reported allergies affected functional outcome scores.ResultsOf 31,109 patients analyzed, there were 941 (3%) revisions for infection (491 knees and 450 hips). At least one allergy was reported by 16,435 (52.8%) patients, with a mean of 1.2 ± 1.9. Those who underwent revision for infection had a significantly higher number of reported allergies (1.68 ± 1.9 vs 1.23 ± 1.9, P < .0005, 95% confidence interval ?0.58 to 0.33). On univariate regression the number of allergies independently predicted revision TJA for infection (P < .0001) as did age, gender, body mass index, and smoking status. On multivariate regression for each additional patient-reported allergy, risk of PJI increased by 1.11 times (95% confidence interval 1.07-1.14, P < .0001). Number of patient-reported allergies did not predict 3-month or 1-year functional outcome scores.ConclusionPatients with a higher number of reported allergies may be at increased risk of PJI following TJA.Level of EvidencePrognostic Level II.  相似文献

Background

The aim of this study is to investigate differences in implant requirement, outcomes, and re-revision when total knee arthroplasty (TKA) was performed following unicompartmental knee arthroplasties (UKAs) with metal-backed (MB) compared to all-polyethylene (AP) tibial components.

Methods

Retrospective study of 60 UKAs converted to 60 TKAs at mean 7.3 years (0.1 to 17) after implantation in 55 patients (mean age, 64 [49-83]; 44% male): 44 MB and 16 AP. TKA implant requirement was investigated in addition to mode of failure, Oxford Knee Score, and TKA survival at mean 5.4 years (0.5 to 17).

Results

Progression of osteoarthritis was the commonest mode of failure in MB UKAs (P = .03) and unexplained pain in AP (P = .011) where revisions were performed earlier (4.8 ± 3.2 vs 8.2 ± 4.5, P = .012). In 56 of 60 (93%) cases, unconstrained TKA implants were used. The use of standard cruciate-retaining TKAs without augments or stems was less likely following MB UKA compared to AP (12 of 38 [32%] vs 10/14 [71%], P = .013). Specifically MB UKA implants were associated with more tibial stem use (P = .04) and more use of cruciate-substituting polyethylene (P = .05). There was no difference in the use of constrained implants. Multivariate analysis showed tibial resection depth to predict stem requirement. Seven were re-revised giving 7-year TKA survival: from MB UKA 70.3 (95% CI, 47.0 to 93.6) and from AP UKA 87.5 (95% CI, 64.6 to 100; P = .191).

Conclusion

MB UKA implants increase the chances of a complex revision requiring tibial stems and cruciate substitution but reduce the chances of early revision compared to AP UKA which often fail early with pain.  相似文献

ObjectiveThe goal of this study was to compare factor concentrate (FC)–based and blood product–based hemostasis management of coagulopathy in cardiac surgical patients in terms of postoperative bleeding, required blood products, and outcome.DesignRetrospective, propensity score–matched analysis.SettingSingle, tertiary, academic medical center.ParticipantsOne hundred eighteen matched pairs of 433 consecutive patients scheduled for cardiac surgery in two isolated periods with distinct strategies of hemostasis management.InterventionsPatients received either blood product–based (period I) or FC-based (period II) hemostasis management to treat perioperative coagulopathy.Measurements and Main ResultsPatients treated with FC management experienced less postoperative blood loss (907 v 1,153 mL, p = 0.014) and required less red blood cell and fresh frozen plasma transfusion (2.3 v 3.7 units p < 0.0001, and 2.0 v 3.4 units p < 0.0001, respectively) compared with subjects in the blood product–based management group. The frequency of Stage 3 acute kidney injury and 30-day mortality rate were significantly higher in the blood product–based group than in the FC management group (6.8% v 0.8%, p = 0.016, and 7.2% v 0.8%, p = 0.022, respectively). FC management-related thromboembolic events were not registered. The FC strategy was associated with a 2.19-fold decrease in the odds of massive postoperative bleeding (p < 0.0001), a 2.56-fold decrease in the odds of polytransfusion (p < 0.0001), and a 13.16-fold decrease in the odds of early postoperative death (p = 0.003).ConclusionsFC-based versus blood product–based management is associated with reduced blood product needs and fewer complications, and was not linked to a higher frequency of thromboembolic events or a decrease in long-term survival in cardiac surgical patients developing perioperative coagulopathy and bleeding.  相似文献

Controversy surrounds the safety of bilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and whether staging the procedures one week apart represents a safer option. A consecutive series of 234 patients underwent either a simultaneous (103 patients) or staged bilateral TKA (131 patients) from 2007 to 2012 and were compared to a matched control group of unilateral TKA (131 patients). Staged patients had no difference in one-year complication rate when compared to simultaneous bilateral TKA and the matched unilateral TKA control group (15% vs. 19% vs. 15%, P = 0.512). There was also no difference in perioperative complications (10% vs. 14% vs. 7%, P = 0.231) or 90-day readmissions (8% vs. 4% vs. 4%, P = 0.295). In selected patients with bilateral knee OA, TKA staged at a one-week interval is a safe alternative.  相似文献

BackgroundIt remains uncertain whether patients who undergo numerous total hip arthroplasty (THA) and/or knee arthroplasty (TKA) revisions exhibit decreased survival. Therefore, we sought to determine if the number of revisions per patient was a mortality predictor.MethodsWe retrospectively reviewed 978 consecutive THA and TKA revision patients from a single institution (from January 5, 2015-November 10, 2020). Dates of first-revision or single revision during study period and of latest follow-up or death were collected, and mortality was assessed. Number of revisions per patient and demographics corresponding to first revision or single revision were determined. Kaplan-Meier, univariate, and multivariate Cox-regressions were utilized to determine mortality predictors. The mean follow-up was 893 days (range, 3-2,658).ResultsMortality rates were 5.5% for the entire series, 5.0% among patients who only underwent TKA revision(s), 5.4% for only THA revision(s), and 17.2% for patients who underwent TKA and THA revisions (P = .019). In univariate Cox-regression, number of revisions per patient was not predictive of mortality in any of the groups analyzed. Age, body mass index (BMI), and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) were significant mortality predictors in the entire series. Every 1 year of age increase significantly elevated expected death by 5.6% while per unit increase in BMI decreased the expected death by 6.7%, ASA-3 or ASA-4 patients had a 3.1 -fold increased expected death compared to ASA-1 or ASA-2 patients.ConclusionThe number of revisions a patient underwent did not significantly impact mortality. Increased age and ASA were positively associated with mortality but higher BMI was negatively associated. If health status is appropriate, patients can undergo multiple revisions without risk of decreased survival.  相似文献

BackgroundGeneral anesthesia (GA) has been the commonly used protocol for total hip arthroplasty (THA); however, neuraxial anesthesia (NA) has been increasingly performed. Our purpose was to compare NA and GA for 30-day postoperative outcomes in United States veterans undergoing primary THA.MethodsA large veteran’s database was utilized to identify patients undergoing primary THA between 1999 and 2019. A total of 56,244 patients had undergone THA and were included in our study. Of these, 44,780 (79.6%) had received GA, and 10,788 (19.2%) had received NA. Patients receiving NA or GA were compared for 30-day mortalities, cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal complications, and wound infections and hospital lengths of stay (LOS). Propensity score matching, multivariate regression analyses, and subgroup analyses by American Society of Anesthesiology classification were performed to control for selection bias and patient baseline characteristics.ResultsUpon propensity-adjusted multivariate analyses, NA was associated with decreased risks for deep venous thrombosis (odds ratio [OR] = 0.63; 95% CI = 0.4-0.9; P = .02), any respiratory complication (OR = 0.63; 95% CI = 0.5-0.9; P = .003), unplanned reintubation (OR = 0.51; 95% CI = 0.3-0.9; P = .009), and prolonged LOS (OR = 0.78; 95% CI = 0.72-0.84; P < .001). Subgroup analyses by American Society of Anesthesiology classes showed NA decreased 30-day venous thromboembolism rate in low-risk (class I/II) patients and decreased respiratory complications in high-risk (class III/IV) patients.ConclusionUsing a patient cohort obtained from a large national database, NA was associated with reduced risk of 30-day adverse events compared to GA in patients undergoing THA. Postoperative adverse events were decreased with NA administration with similar decreases observed across all patient preoperative risk levels. NA was also associated with a significant decrease in hospital LOS.  相似文献

Background

Postoperative anemia is frequent after revision of total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with reported transfusion rates up to 83%. Despite increased efforts of reducing blood loss and enhancing fast recovery within the fast-track setup, a considerable transfusion rate is still evident. The aim of this study was therefore to evaluate the effect of a bipolar sealer on blood loss and transfusion in revision TKA.

Methods

In this single-center prospective cohort study with retrospective controls, 51 patients were enrolled in a fast-track setup for revision TKA without the use of a tourniquet. Twenty-five prospectively enrolled patients received treatment with both a bipolar sealer and electrocautery, whereas 26 patients had received treatment with a conventional electrocautery only in the retrospective group.

Results

No significant differences were found neither for calculated blood loss, with 1397 (standard deviation, ± 452) mL in the bipolar sealer group vs 1452 (SD, ± 530) mL in the control group (P = .66), nor for blood transfusion rates of 53% and 46% (P = .89), respectively. Four controls were readmitted within 90 days follow-up.

Conclusion

The use of a bipolar sealer in a TKA revision setting without the use of a tourniquet did not reduce blood loss or blood transfusion rates.  相似文献

Background

There is limited information regarding the cause of revision TKA in Asia, especially Japan. Owing to differences in patient backgrounds and lifestyles, the modes of TKA failures in Asia may differ from those in Western countries.

Questions/purposes

We therefore determined (1) causes of revision TKA in a cohort of Japanese patients with revision TKA and (2) whether patient demographic features and underlying diagnosis of primary TKA are associated with the causes of revision TKA.

Methods

We assessed all revision TKA procedures performed at five major centers in Hokkaido from 2006 to 2011 for the causes of failures. Demographic data and underlying diagnosis for index primary TKA of the revision cases were compared to those of randomly selected primary TKAs during the same period.

Results

One hundred forty revision TKAs and 4047 primary TKAs were performed at the five centers, indicating a revision burden of 3.3%. The most common cause of revision TKA was mechanical loosening (40%) followed by infection (24%), wear/osteolysis (9%), instability (9%), implant failure (6%), periprosthetic fracture (4%), and other reasons (8%). The mean age of patients with periprosthetic fracture was older (77 versus 72 years) and the male proportion in patients with infection was higher (33% versus 19%) than those of patients in the primary TKA group. There was no difference in BMI between primary TKAs and any type of revision TKA except other causes.

Conclusions

The revision burden at the five referral centers in Hokkaido was 3.3%, and the most common cause of revision TKA was mechanical loosening followed by infection. Demographic data such as age and sex might be associated with particular causes of revision TKA.  相似文献
