延颈髓及腹部多发金属异物取出术患儿的护理

对1例延髓、颈6～7椎管内外、腹部多发金属异物患儿,在气管插管全麻下行多发异物取出术,结果手术顺利,无任何并发症发生,住院16 d康复出院.提出术前进行主动心理干预,建立良好的护患关系,术后密切监测生命体征,加强并发症的观察及护理是确保患儿康复的重要环节.     

Infected abdominal aortic aneurysm caused bycampylobacter fetus subspecies fetus: Report of a case

Campylobacter fetus subspecies fetus. The administration of antibiotics sensitive to this organism was continued for 3 months, and no infection has been encountered in the 1 year since his operation. This is only the 13th documented case of AAA infected by C. fetus subspecies fetus. (Received for publication on Jan. 8, 1997; accepted on July 8, 1997)     

Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of abdominal aorta in a child

A 6-year-old child sustained blunt abdominal trauma leading to formation of infrarenal aortic pseudoaneurysm eroding the vertebra with impairment of blood flow in bilateral lower limbs (absent bilateral femoral pulsations) and paraplegia. Resection of aneurysm was done alongwith reconstruction of aorta and iliac arteries with expended Poly-Tetra-Flouro-Ethylene (e PTFE) patch. Right common iliac artery was directly anastomosed to left common iliac artery establishing good flow to bilateral lower limbs. The child made a good recovery and has started to walk after 3 months follow up.     

Penetrating wounds of the abdominal cavity

The first experience with diagnosis and treatment of open injuries to the abdomen in the specialized department of polytrauma is summarized. Surgical tactics stipulates early diagnosis of the possible injuries to the internal organs, and emergency operative intervention with the volume depending on the character of an injury, severity of the state of a patient.
