Clinical adenoviral p53 gene therapy has been shown by us and others to inhibit tumor growth of ovarian cancer with endogenous mutant p53. This study was designed to test the cooperative antitumor effect of standard combination chemotherapy using paclitaxel and carboplatin together with adenoviral p53 gene transfer in the presence of wild-type and mutant p53. Seven ovarian cancer cell lines with mutant p53 and seven ovarian cancer cell lines with wild-type p53 were tested. An E1-deleted adenovirus type 5 expressing p53 (ACNp53) was used for p53 gene transfer. p53 gene transfer at 50% transduction efficiency significantly reduced IC50 of carboplatin chemotherapy up to 49-fold, of paclitaxel chemotherapy up to six-fold, and of paclitaxel/carboplatin chemotherapy up to 19-fold in the wild-type p53 cell line OV-MZ-5. Synergism between ACNp53 and chemotherapy calculated by median-effect analysis was found at low drug concentrations in all cell lines independent of the p53 mutational status. In conclusion, adenoviral p53 gene transfer significantly increased the sensitivity of ovarian tumor cells to paclitaxel, to carboplatin and/or to the combination of both.  相似文献

To evaluate efficacy and MRI findings after intravenous bevacizumab and/or carboplatin in a human glioma animal model, we randomized male nude rats with intracerebral UW28 human glioma xenografts to four groups: (1) controls (n = 9), (2) bevacizumab 10 mg/kg (n = 6), (3) carboplatin 200 mg/m(2) (n = 6), and (4) bevacizumab + carboplatin (n = 6). MRI was performed on the day of treatment (day 7-10) and 1 week later, and rats were followed for survival. Dynamic MRI was done in three controls and three rats treated with bevacizumab with or without carboplatin before and 24 h after treatment. Median overall survival (OS) was as follows: group 1, 16 days; group 2, 23 days; group 3, 22 days; group 4, 36 days. OS was significantly longer in group 4 than in group 1 (p = 0.0011), group 2 (p = 0.0014), and group 3 (p = 0.0015), and rats had significantly larger tumors. No objective tumor responses were observed on MR images at 1 week after treatment; however, after bevacizumab, dynamic MRI showed reduced gadolinium enhancement intensity and increased time to peak, consistent with decreased vascular permeability. Carboplatin + bevacizumab is effective and superior over bevacizumab or carboplatin monotherapy in this animal model. Increased survival concomitant with increased asymptomatic tumor volume is suggestive that vascular targeting with reduced peritumoral edema and mass effect contributes to the efficacy of bevacizumab. The promising survival data warrant future clinical trials using bevacizumab + carboplatin.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: Consolidation/maintenance therapy in the standard management of ovarian cancer remains controversial, primarily due to the unknown impact of this strategy on overall survival. METHODS: We examined the survival of a previously reported patient population consecutively treated with either 3 cycles (group A; n = 13 patients) or 12 cycles (group B; n = 13) of single-agent paclitaxel consolidation following 6 cycles of primary induction chemotherapy comprising 6 cycles of carboplatin (AUC = 5), paclitaxel (175 mg/m(2)) and gemcitabine (800 mg/m(2)). RESULTS: There were no differences in the 2 patient populations regarding known relevant prognostic factors (age, stage, tumor grade). The median progression-free survival was 11 months for group A and 24 months for group B (p = 0.0062). The median overall survival in group A was 38 months and was not reached in group B (p = 0.0019). Current follow-up for these 2 patient groups exceeds 43 months. CONCLUSION: We recognize the important limitations of this study, particularly its sample size and nonrandomized nature. However, these data provide support for the conclusion that paclitaxel 'maintenance/consolidation' therapy may favorably impact overall and progression-free survival in advanced ovarian cancer patients who achieve an excellent response to primary platinum-based chemotherapy.  相似文献

Angiogenesis has become an important target in the treatment of several solid tumors, including breast cancer. As monotherapy, antiangiogenic agents have demonstrated limited activity in metastatic breast cancer (MBC); therefore, they have generally been developed for use in combination with chemotherapies. Thus far, the experience with antiangiogenic agents for MBC has been mixed. The results from one study assessing addition of the monoclonal antibody bevacizumab to paclitaxel led to approval of bevacizumab for MBC. However, the modest improvement of progression-free survival rates in subsequent MBC studies has led to reappraisal of bevacizumab. Phase III studies have not produced evidence supporting use of the multikinase inhibitor sunitinib alone or in combination with MBC chemotherapy. Experience with sorafenib in a phase IIb program indicates potential when used in select combinations, particularly with capecitabine; however, phase III confirmatory data are needed. Although antiangiogenic therapies combined with chemotherapy have increased progression-free survival rates for patients with MBC, increases in overall survival times have not been observed. Some studies have tried to combine antiangiogenic agents such as bevacizumab and sunitinib or sorafenib, but that approach has been limited because of toxicity concerns. Sequential use of antiangiogenic agents with differing mechanisms of action may be an effective approach. Despite setbacks, angiogenesis will likely remain an important target of treatment for selected patients with MBC.  相似文献

Bevacizumab has been generally well tolerated in ovarian cancer patients, but recent reports on increased risk of gastrointestinal perforations have gained attention. Several therapies targeting angiogenesis are currently in development for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This review discusses results of recent clinical trials evaluating chemotherapy plus antiangiogenic therapy for NSCLC. Bevacizumab, an anti-VEGF antibody, is currently approved for the treatment of advanced NSCLC in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel. Completed phase III trials evaluating bevacizumab plus chemotherapy have shown prolonged progression-free survival; however, not all trials showed significant improvement in overall survival (OS). Phase III trials of the tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) vandetanib and sorafenib and the vascular disrupting agent ASA404 also failed to improve OS compared with chemotherapy alone. Clinical trials are ongoing involving several new antiangiogenic therapies, including ramucirumab, aflibercept, cediranib, BIBF 1120, sunitinib, pazopanib, brivanib, ABT-869, axitinib, ABT-751, and NPI-2358; several of these agents have shown promising phase I/II results. Results from recently completed and ongoing phase III trials will determine if these newer antiangiogenic agents will be incorporated into clinical practice.  相似文献

Ovarian cancer is the most lethal gynecologic malignancy. It appears that the vast majority of what seem to be primary epithelial ovarian and primary peritoneal carcinomas is, in fact, secondary from the fimbria, the most distal part of the fallopian tube.Treatment of epithelial ovarian cancer is based on the combination of cytoreductive surgery and combination chemotherapy using taxane and platinum. Although clear cell type is categorized in indolent type, it is known to show relatively strong resistance to carboplatin and paclitaxel regimen and thus poor prognosis compared to serous adenocarcinoma, especially in advanced stages. Irinotecan plus cisplatin therapy may effective for the clear cell adenocarcinoma.The larger expectation for improved prognosis in ovarian carcinoma is related to the use of the new biological agents. One of the most investigated and promising molecular targeted drugs in ovarian cancer is bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody directed against VEGF. PARP inhibitor is another one. A few recent studies demonstrated positive results of bevacizumab on progression-free survival in ovarian cancer patients, however, investigation of molecular targeting drugs in patients with ovarian cancer are still underway.  相似文献

PURPOSE: To investigate the efficacy and safety of bevacizumab plus carboplatin and paclitaxel in patients with advanced or recurrent non-small-cell lung cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS: In a phase II trial, 99 patients were randomly assigned to bevacizumab 7.5 (n = 32) or 15 mg/kg (n = 35) plus carboplatin (area under the curve = 6) and paclitaxel (200 mg/m(2)) every 3 weeks or carboplatin and paclitaxel alone (n = 32). Primary efficacy end points were time to disease progression and best confirmed response rate. On disease progression, patients in the control arm had the option to receive single-agent bevacizumab 15 mg/kg every 3 weeks. RESULTS: Compared with the control arm, treatment with carboplatin and paclitaxel plus bevacizumab (15 mg/kg) resulted in a higher response rate (31.5% v 18.8%), longer median time to progression (7.4 v 4.2 months) and a modest increase in survival (17.7 v 14.9 months). Of the 19 control patients that crossed over to single-agent bevacizumab, five experienced stable disease, and 1-year survival was 47%. Bleeding was the most prominent adverse event and was manifested in two distinct clinical patterns; minor mucocutaneous hemorrhage and major hemoptysis. Major hemoptysis was associated with squamous cell histology, tumor necrosis and cavitation, and disease location close to major blood vessels. CONCLUSION: Bevacizumab in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel improved overall response and time to progression in patients with advanced or recurrent non-small-cell lung cancer. Patients with nonsquamous cell histology appear to be a subpopulation with improved outcome and acceptable safety risks.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: This study was conducted to investigate the recommended dose of paclitaxel for use in combination with a fixed dose of carboplatin and to evaluate the toxicity and efficacy of carboplatin-paclitaxel combination chemotherapy in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer. METHODS: One hundred and ten patients were enrolled in the Phase I/II study and 97 patients were evaluated for further analysis, excluding 13 ineligible patients or patients with infringement of protocol: 15 patients for the Phase I and 82 for the Phase II study. In the Phase I trial, we studied dose escalation using a carboplatin dose of AUC 5 and paclitaxel levels of 150, 175 and 200 mg/m(2). The grades of toxicity of the regimen of all patients enrolled in the Phase II study (n = 82), the progression-free survival time (PFS) of optimal-debulked patients and complete responders (n = 62) and the response rate of suboptimal-debulked patients (n = 39) were investigated. RESULTS: After observing grade 4 neutropenia in four of six patients in the paclitaxel 200 mg/m(2) administration group, we chose 175 mg/m(2) as the recommended dose of paclitaxel in this regimen. At this dose, the median of PFS and response rate were 432 days (range, 19-907 days) and 66.7%, respectively. CONCLUSION: Combination chemotherapy using paclitaxel 175 mg/m(2) and carboplatin AUC 5 is very well tolerated and highly effective for the treatment of ovarian cancer.  相似文献

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality in the United States. Patients treated with adjuvant chemotherapy have a 5-year survival rate of 25% to 70% depending on stage, whereas those with advanced disease have a median survival of approximately 8 months when treated with standard platinum-based therapy. Improvements in our understanding of cancer biology have led to the development of novel agents that more precisely affect the target of interest, allowing for a more rational approach to clinical trial design. Angiogenesis, the growth of new vessels from preexisting vessels, is a fundamental step in tumor growth and progression. Inhibition of tumor-related angiogenesis has become an attractive target for anticancer therapy. Bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody against vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), is the most studied antiangiogenic agent in patients with Non—Small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). There was an improvement in overall survival when bevacizumab was combined with paclitaxel and carboplatin in patients with advanced NSCLC that was not seen when bevacizumab was combined with cisplatin and gemcitabine. Studies with bevacizumab in the adjuvant and advanced setting are ongoing in patients with NSCLC. Small-molecule inhibitors targeting the VEGF receptor and the tyrosine kinase receptor have also shown promise when combined with standard chemotherapy, but their role in the treatment of patients with NSCLC remains to be determined. This article reviews clinical trials that have incorporated antiangiogenic agents in the treatment of patients with NSCLC.  相似文献

Bevacizumab (Avastin) has unprecedented survival benefit in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Trials are already in progress to investigate the potential of bevacizumab in indications including metastatic renal cell cancer (RCC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), pancreatic cancer, breast and ovarian cancer. Bevacizumab offers the potential to increase survival without substantially altering the toxicity profile in these tumor types. Bevacizumab has shown activity in patients with refractory metastatic RCC, where progression-free survival (PFS) was significantly longer in patients treated with bevacizumab (10 mg/kg every 2 weeks) than those treated with placebo (hazard ratio=2.55, p<0.001). In addition, combining bevacizumab with erlotinib (Tarceva) has shown a median time to progression of more than 11 months. In NSCLC, a phase II trial revealed that adding bevacizumab to chemotherapy increased therapeutic benefit compared with chemotherapy alone. Adverse events were mild and easily managed, but six patients receiving bevacizumab developed severe hemoptysis. Entry criteria for NSCLC trials have been adjusted to exclude patients with squamous cell histology to try to avoid this issue. Adding bevacizumab (10 mg/kg) to the current standard of care, gemcitabine, in stage IV pancreatic cancer has also shown promising efficacy. Partial responses were seen in 19% of patients, with a further 48% having stable disease. Several ongoing clinical trials are also studying bevacizumab with various chemotherapy and radiotherapy regimens. Bevacizumab combined with carboplatin (Paraplatin)/paclitaxel (Taxol) was further examined in a phase III randomized trial that accrued 878 patients with advanced non-squamous cell NSCLC. Patients given chemotherapy (paclitaxel and carboplatin) plus bevacizumab had a higher response rate, longer PFS and an increase in survival compared with patients on chemotherapy alone. Both regimens were generally well tolerated. Bevacizumab has also shown activity in patients with metastatic breast cancer. In 715 patients, a significant, 2-fold increase in response rate was observed in patients receiving bevacizumab plus paclitaxel compared with paclitaxel alone. Median PFS was also significantly increased (p<0.001). Bevacizumab has the potential to provide significant efficacy benefits for patients with metastatic RCC, NSCLC, pancreatic cancer, and other tumor types when used first line in combination with standard therapy.  相似文献

The study was performed to assess response rate, progression-free interval (PFI), and side effects of the combination paclitaxel and carboplatin as second-line therapy among women with platinum-sensitive epithelial ovarian carcinoma (EOC). Thirty women who achieved partial surgical response at second-look surgery (n = 8) or who had recurrence (n = 22) more than 6 months after treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy were treated with paclitaxel (135 mg/m2 for 3 hours) and carboplatin (area under the concentration-time curve 5) every 3 weeks. Response rate, PFI, and side effects of treatment were recorded. One hundred sixty-seven cycles of treatment (median = 6, range = 2-11) were administered. Among 22 patients with measurable or assessable disease, 14 had complete response and 3 had partial response. Five patients had progressive disease. The overall response rate was 77%. The median PFI was 10 months (range = 1-29). Among 22 patients in whom recurrence or progression developed after second-line therapy, the median interval was 9 months (range = 1-26). The incidence of grade III or IV neutropenia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia was 48%, 27%, and 3%, respectively. One patient discontinued treatment secondary to persistent thrombocytopenia. Eight patients died secondary to their disease. It was concluded that the combination paclitaxel and carboplatin has a high success rate, long duration of response, and is well tolerated as a second-line therapy among patients with platinum-sensitive EOC.  相似文献

A systematic overview of chemotherapy effects in ovarian cancer.   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A systematic review of chemotherapy trials in several tumour types was performed by The Swedish Council of Technology Assessment in Health Care (SBU). The procedures for the evaluation of the scientific literature are described separately (Acta Oncol 2001; 40: 155-65). This overview on chemotherapy for epithelial ovarian cancer is based on a total of 176 scientific reports. Five meta-analyses including 17,291 patients, 33 prospective randomised studies including 12,340 patients, 36 prospective studies including 3,593 patients and one retrospective study including 421 patients. The studies include approximately 33,642 patients. The conclusions reached can be summarized into the following points: Radically operated patients with low-risk early ovarian cancer (stage IA or IB non-clear-cell well-differentiated carcinomas or borderline tumours) have a very good prognosis and there is no indication for adjuvant therapy. Radically operated patients with high-risk early ovarian cancer (clear cell carcinomas or FIGO stage IA or IB moderately or poorly differentiated carcinomas or stage IC) have a substantial risk for micrometastatic disease. However, the role of adjuvant chemotherapy is unclear and such therapy should, thus, only be used within clinical trials. The median overall survival for patients with advanced (FIGO stages II-IV) ovarian cancer randomised to paclitaxel/platinum-containing chemotherapy in three large studies ranged between 36-39 months. Compared with historical data, this represents a six to seven times longer median survival time than after surgery only. The probability for long-term survival for patients treated with a paclitaxel/platinum combination is too early to define. In two prospective randomised trials in advanced ovarian cancer, paclitaxel in combination with cisplatin has provided a survival benefit over cyclophosphamide/cisplatin. Based on these trials, paclitaxel/cisplatin is considered to be the standard treatment. This choice of standard therapy might, however, be questioned based on the results of the hitherto largest randomised study in advanced ovarian cancer, ICON3, which is, as yet only available in abstract form. It compared paclitaxel/carboplatin with carboplatin only or a platinum combination (cyclophosphamide/doxorubicin/cisplatin). There were no statistically significant differences in progression-free or overall survival. The drug regimen in the control arms of the previous studies showing superiority of the paclitaxel-cisplatin combination may not have been the optimal non-paclitaxel platinum-containing regimen. Three randomised studies have compared carboplatin/paclitaxel with cisplatin/paclitaxel. All three are hitherto only published as abstracts with short follow-up precluding survival analyses. None of them shows any difference in response rates. All three show less toxicity and one also better quality of life with carboplatin. Thus, there are preliminary data supporting the substitution of cisplatin with carboplatin. Intraperitoneal therapy with cisplatin caused improved survival compared with intravenous therapy in one ramdomised study. Further studies have shown trends to better survival and longer progression-free interval with intraperitoneal therapy. The accrual to studies on intraperitoneal chemotherapy has been poor reflecting that it is a cumbersome and not easily accepted treatment. In advanced ovarian cancer, no convincing advantage has been shown from more dose-intensive chemotherapy, without cytokines or bone marrow stem cell support, compared with standard doses. High response rates are achieved with high-dose chemotherapy with stem cell support in the salvage situation but response duration is short. Phase III studies evaluating high-dose chemotherapy in the first-line situation are ongoing. Until supportive controlled clinical trials are presented, high-dose chemotherapy should be confined to clinical trials. Tumour response is frequently observed on re-treatment with the same drugs as given first-line in patients sensitive to first-line platinum-based chemotherapy with a long progression-free interval. Thus, in these patients treatment with a platinum/paclitaxel combination might be recommended. albeit based on limited data. In patients resistant to first-line therapy, a number of single agents induce tumour responses in the range of 10-30%. The literature does not permit general treatment recommendations in these patients, which are recommended to be included in controlled clinical trials.  相似文献

We evaluated the sequential use of carboplatin, paclitaxel and topotecan in patients with advanced, previously untreated ovarian cancer. In total, 43 patients with advanced ovarian cancer and >1 cm residual disease were treated with sequential carboplatin (area-under-the-curve (AUC) 5 days 1 and 22), paclitaxel (175 mg m(-2) days 43 and 64) and topotecan (1.5 mg m(-2) daily for 5 days from days 85, 106, 127 and 148). Median age of patients was 61 years. Median follow-up was 22.2 months (range 0.76-50.6 months). In all, 34 (79%) patients received all eight cycles of treatment and nine (21%) withdrew. Of the 29 evaluable patients, 19 (66%) responded according to WHO and 30 of 36 (83%) patients according to CA125. The best overall response (CA125 and/or WHO) was 77% (33 of 43 patients). The response rates to sequential drugs based on >50% fall in CA125 were as follows: carboplatin, 77% (30 of 39 patients); paclitaxel, 65% (15 of 23 patients); topotecan, 38% (five of 13 patients). Two patients responded to paclitaxel and one to topotecan after failure to respond to preceding chemotherapy. Median survival and time to progression was 22.24 and 10.61 months, respectively. This study demonstrates that sequential chemotherapy with just two initial courses of carboplatin is a reasonable way to introduce new agents into first-line therapy for poor prognostic ovarian cancer patients.  相似文献

A human ovarian cancer cell line, which migrates to mouse ovaries and establishes peritoneal carcinomatosis, was used to evaluate the cooperative effect of an antiangiogenic gene therapy combined with chemotherapy. The ovarian carcinoma cell line MA148 was genetically modified by "Sleeping Beauty" transposon-mediated delivery of DsRed2 fluorescent protein. Stable, high-level expression of DsRed protein enabled in vivo imaging of peritoneal dissemination of ovarian cancer. Both external and internal imaging, along with histopathology, showed migration of i.p. injected human ovarian cancer cell line to mouse ovaries. Using this model, we evaluated the effect of adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated expression of a mutant endostatin either alone or in combination with carboplatin treatment. A single i.m. injection of recombinant AAV (rAAV)-mutant human endostatin with P125A substitution (P125A-endostatin) showed sustained expression of mutant endostatin. Antiangiogenic gene therapy inhibited orthotopic growth of ovarian cancer and resulted in 33% long-term tumor-free survival. A single cycle of carboplatin treatment combined with mutant endostatin gene therapy resulted in 60% of the animals remaining tumor free for >200 days, which was significantly better than rAAV-LacZ and/or carboplatin. Combination treatment delayed tumor appearance in 40% of the animals, wherein the residual tumors were smaller in size with limited or no peritoneal metastasis. These studies suggest that AAV-mediated gene therapy of P125A-endostatin in combination with carboplatin is a useful method to inhibit peritoneal dissemination of ovarian carcinoma.  相似文献

The consensus statements regarding first-line therapies in women with ovarian cancer, reached at the Fifth Ovarian Cancer Consensus Conference held in Tokyo, Japan, in November 2015 are reported. Three topics were reviewed and the following statements are recommended: (i) Surgery: the subgroups that should be considered in first-line ovarian cancer clinical trials should be (a) patients undergoing primary debulking surgery and (b) patients receiving neo-adjuvant chemotherapy. The amount of residual disease following surgery should further stratify patients into those with absent gross residual disease and others. (ii) Control arms for chemotherapy: for advanced stage ovarian cancer the standard is intravenous 3-weekly carboplatin and paclitaxel. Acceptable alternatives, which should be stratified variables in trials when more than one regimen is offered, include weekly paclitaxel plus 3-weekly carboplatin, the addition of bevacizumab to 3-weekly carboplatin and paclitaxel, and intraperitoneal therapy. (iii) Trial Endpoints: overall survival is the preferred primary endpoint for first-line clinical trials with or without a maintenance component. Progression-free survival (PFS) is an alternative primary endpoint, but if PFS is chosen overall survival must be measured as a secondary endpoint and PFS must be supported by additional endpoints, including predefined patient reported outcomes and time to first or second subsequent therapy. For neoadjuvant therapy, additional ‘window of opportunity’ endpoints should be included.  相似文献

目的 探究贝伐单抗、紫杉醇、卡帕3者联合用药在复发性卵巢癌治疗中的治疗效果.方法 选取复发性上皮性卵巢癌50例,随机分为对照组和观察组,对照组患者给予紫杉醇+卡铂联合用药,观察组患者给予贝伐单抗+紫杉醇+卡铂联合用药,两组疗程均为3周.观察两组患者的临床疗效、不良反应发生情况、生活质量的改善情况,同时对比2组患者的1年生存率和中位生存期.结果 观察组患者的有效率为80%,显著高于对照组(44.00%)(P<0.05).观察组发生白细胞减少,过敏反应和胃肠道反应的例数显著少于对照组患者(P<0.05).治疗前2组患者的QOL评分比较无显著性差异(P>0.05);治疗后观察组的QOL评分显著升高,并显著高于对照组(P>0.05).观察组患者的中位生存期为21.3个月,显著高于对照组患者的中位生存期(12.3个月)(P<0.05).结论 贝伐单抗、紫杉醇、卡帕3者联合用药在复发性卵巢癌治疗中的临床效果显著,值得推广使用.  相似文献

The purpose of this trial was to determine the effects of paclitaxel in patients with newly diagnosed metastatic breast cancer scheduled to receive high-dose chemotherapy with peripheral blood stem cell support. Eighty-four patients received anthracycline-based induction and two doses of paclitaxel at 170 mg/m2 (n = 52) or 250 mg/m2 (n = 32). Eighty-two (98%) received cyclophosphamide and etoposide (n = 50) or paclitaxel and cyclophosphamide (n = 32) with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor for mobilization of peripheral blood stem cells, and 79 (94%) received cyclophosphamide, thiotepa, and carboplatin with peripheral blood stem cell support. One patient (1%) died of infection and 56 (67%) died of progressive disease. For patients with measurable disease, the complete response rate was 21% after induction and 29% after paclitaxel (p = 0.54). Results were compared with those of 125 patients who received the same sequence of therapy without paclitaxel. The complete response rate after high-dose chemotherapy was 54% for patients receiving paclitaxel and 62% for those not receiving paclitaxel (p = 0.60). The probabilities of overall survival and event-free survival at 3 years for patients receiving paclitaxel were 46% and 24%, respectively, compared with 54% and 22%, respectively, for patients not receiving paclitaxel (p = 0.62). Further trials evaluating this dose and schedule of paclitaxel in patients with metastatic breast cancer receiving high-dose chemotherapy are not warranted.  相似文献
