Impacted upper central incisor. Surgical-orthodontic treatment

This study goes through the aetio-pathogenetic factors which cause the upper central incisor's inclusion and then it analyses the various clinical pictures to which odontologist's attention may be called. It is in this context that the study describes afterwards several problems pertinent to disinclusion's surgical techniques and to scientific methods about included teeth's hooking and about their odontological settling in the dental arch.     

Surgical-orthodontic treatment of an impacted maxillary incisor

An eruption disturbance of a central maxillary incisor can be caused by the intrusion of a deciduous incisor. Depending on the age of the individual when trauma occurred, this may lead to a so-called dilaceration. Surgical exposure and ligation if needed, followed by orthodontic extrusion, will generally be successful. In one case, the central upper incisor appeared to be dislodged and exposure, ligation and orthodontic extrusion resulted in an excellent aesthetic result.     

预置支点介导下的上颌近远中阻生尖牙的矫治

目的 探讨预置支点在矫治上颌水平阻生尖牙的作用.方法 水平埋伏阻生上颌尖牙5例,均位于邻牙根方.用直丝弓矫治器进行间隙预备,外科开窗暴露埋伏尖牙的牙冠,将预置支点置于牙颈部,进行正畸牵引,曲面断层片观察邻牙牙根吸收情况.结果 水平阻生尖牙以预置支点为转动中心而移动至正常位置,牙髓和牙周情况良好,邻牙牙根无吸收现象.结论 预置支点水平阻生上颌尖牙的转动中心,对正畸临床治疗有指导意义.     

Eruption process of upper permanent canine

The purpose of this study was to investigate normal eruptive pattern of upper permanent canine. One hundred and fifty-one panoramic radiographs were used. Inclination of upper canine and lateral incisor, length and horizontal and vertical positions of cusp and root apex of the canine were evaluated. The canine erupted with increasing distal inclination and with no significant changes of the lateral incisor. Developmental changes of the canines relative to palatal plane and midline were shown by figures.
