晶体蛋白质的混浊与PH值的关系

我们使用一些酸性试剂及药物,如HCl:谷胱甘肽(GSH,GSSG);维生素C;维生素B_6等,与碱性试剂(Tris)来调节晶体水溶性和尿素溶性蛋白质的pH值,发现在一定比例下,晶体蛋白质溶液产生混浊,用pH计测混浊溶液的pH值约为5.6—6.3,高于或低于这一范围,混浊不会产生.通过酸、碱梯度溶液试验,测定了人类胚胎晶体、成人透明和白内障晶体水溶性和尿素溶性蛋白质溶液的混浊程度,其结果是,成人透明晶体和白内障晶体蛋白溶液比胚胎晶体蛋白溶液产生的混浊明显,在同一晶体中,尿素溶性蛋白比水溶性蛋白产生的混浊多.我们认为白内障的形成与晶体内pH变化有一定联系.

THE PRESENTATION OF ACUTE GLAUCOMA IN PSEUDOEXFOLIATION OF THE LENS CAPSULE

Up to 25% of patients with pseudoexfoliation of the tens capsule (PXF) and glaucoma may present with an acute rise in intraocular pressure (IOP) but the majority of these are not due to angle closure glaucoma. A series of 139 cases with acute presentation of PXF is described; this comprised 86 cases of acute open angle PXF glaucoma (9 bilateral), 18 cases of acute angle closure glaucoma with PXF, 21 cases of neovascular glaucoma with PXF and 14 cases of absolute PXF glaucoma. Males suffered acute open-angle PXF glaucoma and absolute PXF glaucoma significantly more frequently than females. The anterior chamber depth was 2.2 mm or less in all eyes having acute angle closure glaucoma with PXF but few cases with acute open-angle PXF glaucoma had a shallow anterior chamber, this difference being highly statistically significant (P < 0.001). The response to medical treatment was poor in most cases, while surgical treatment was successful in lowering IOP in the majority of cases. Argon laser trabeculoplasty was less successful with a risk of late high rise in IOP.

INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE CHANGES AFTER PHACOEMULSIFICATION OF THE EYES WITH PSEUDOEXFOLIATION SYNDROME

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CORNEAL DELLEN AND TEARFILM BREAKUP TIME

The BUT of 51 strabismus patients were measured before and after operation. The average pre-op BUT was 28.75 seconds(10.96"-91.80"). The post-op BUT in all operated eyes were reduced significantly, no matter what procedures had been performed and whether dellen appeared or not(P<0.01). The BUT in the group complicated dellen reduced from 23.22"(pre-op) to 8.61"(post-op). The incidence of dellen was 22.54% in this study. The incidence of dellen after rectus resection procedure(47.75%) was much higher than that after rectus recession(5.13%)(P<0.01). This study showed that dellen was closelyre related to the BUT and occurred more often in the eyes on which resection procedure was performed. It is considered that excessive lacrimation and elevation of the bulbar conjunctiva near the limbus may disturb the stability of the precornea tearfilm and cause the tearfilm break up earlier. Local corneal dehydration and dellen formation may be caused by reduced BUT. The incidence of dellen after operation may be higher if the cornea was carefully observed.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TONIC VERGENCE AND OCULOMOTOR STRESS INDUCED BY ETHANOL

Previous investigations have demonstrated an ethanol-induced increase in distance esophoria and an increase in near exophoria, together with a decrease in negative fusional ability, the AC/A ratio and near point of convergence. The present study (N = 10) was designed to test the hypothesis that these effects are due to a biasing of vergence towards its tonic resting state when under conditions of oculomotor stress. Measurements of the parameters before and 1 hr after imbibition of a moderate dose of ethanol supported the previous findings. Darkroom measures of tonic vergence (vernier alignment) and tonic accommodation (laser optometry) were unaffected by ethanol. The study indicates that the changes in oculomotor function induced by the central inhibitory action of ethanol represent a shift towards the tonic vergence position.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CLINICAL STEREOTESTS

Abstract The stereo-thresholds of 67 normal binocular subjects and two smaller groups of non-binocular and temporarily occluded subject's were measured using three clinical stereotests and a laboratory two-needle test. The Titmus, Frisby and two-needle test were found to give a much lower mean threshold than the TNO test. It was found that there is low, but significant, correlation between most pairs of the rests. This suggests they all measure the same underlying function of stereopsis, but other factors must also influence performance in these tests. The non-binocular subjects performed slightly better than the occluded subjects in some of the stereotests.     

血浆内皮素和血清血管紧张素转换酶与糖尿病视网膜病变的关系

目的：探讨血浆内皮素(endothelin，ET)和血清血管紧张素转换酶(angiotensin converting enzyme，ACE)水平与糖尿病视网膜病变(diabetic retinopathy，DR)的关系。 方法：用直接放射免疫法和紫外分光光度法测定62例糖尿病(diabetes mellitus，DM)患者和30名正常人血浆ET和血清ACE水平。 结果：DR患者血浆ET和血清ACE水平显著高于无视网膜病变者(P<0.01)。随着DR程度增加，血浆ET水平显著升高，血清ACE水平逐渐升高。 结论：DR患者血浆ET和血清ACE水平增高可能与DR的发生与进展有关。 （中华眼底病杂志，1996，12：177-179）

PHACOEMULSIFICATION OF CATARACT WITH POSTERIOR CHAMBER LENS IMPLANTATION AND OPERATIVE POSTERIOR CAPSULOTOMY

An initial series of 500 eyes with cataract was managed with phacoemulsification and posterior chamber lens implantation, with operative capsulotomy. The operative technique, complications and visual results are presented. Complications reported with other lens implant techniques are discussed and reviewed. It was found that the complication rate associated with this technique was lower than that associated with routine intracapsular surgery, and that visual rehabilitation was far superior.
