自行设计护理人员继续教育课程需求问卷调查表,随机抽样调查19所二级甲等及其以上医院护理人员309人,调查结果显示,护理人员渴求继续学习护理新技术、沟通与交流、护理心理学、职业礼仪、护理新理论、健康教育、专科护理、政策与法律、危重症监护、护理营养学等方面的知识,采用2检验对不同年龄、职称、职务及学历层次的护理人员需求情况进行统计分析,为今后护理人员的继续教育课程设置提供理论依据。  相似文献

[目的]在高职护理专业教育中开设安宁疗护教育课程,构建高职护生死亡教育策略,探索系统性安宁疗护教学的实践价值。[方法]选取我校2017级护理专业选修安宁疗护相关内容选修课的55名护生为研究对象,在课程教学前后进行中文版佛罗梅尔特临终关怀态度量表(FATCODS)自测,课程完成后进行理论考试并书写课程学习心得体会。[结果]完成安宁疗护课程学习后护生FATCODS总分较前明显提高,呈中等水平;在理论考试中取得满意成绩(平均72.18分),见习心得体会分析显示,该课程帮助护生“增强了安宁疗护认识”“弥补了安宁疗护知识、能力不足”“后续普及完善安宁疗护课程”。[结论]安宁疗护课程教学取得了积极的教学效果,能帮助护生树立积极的安宁疗护态度,加深了对安宁疗护的认识。  相似文献

Cultural safety is a concept which has been developed by Maori nurses in New Zealand in order to reflect on nursing practice from their point of view as the indigenous minority in our country. The paper contrasts this new concept critically with Leininger's well-known model of transcultural nursing in order to suggest its potential significance. To date work on cultural safety in New Zealand has focused on the attitudes which individual nurses bring to their practice, attempting to change the effects of their social conditioning on their approach to nursing. The paper supports the view that all nursing care is provided in a social context which influences its efficacy, and specifies that the structural elements, such as the institutional context within which nursing care is provided and policies which influence how care is the provided, need to be explicitly recognized. The paper concludes that until the effects on the health care system of inequalities in power between groups in society are addressed we cannot ensure that the needs of persons from minority cultures will be met. Because it illuminates this dimension of nursing care, cultural safety is a concept of general significance for all nurses.  相似文献

AIM: This paper reports a literature review exploring genetics education for nursing professionals. The aim was to contribute to the debate about the future direction of such education. BACKGROUND: Advances in genetics science and technology have profound implications for health care and the growing importance and relevance of genetics for everyday nursing practice is increasingly recognized. METHOD: A search was conducted in February 2005 using the CINAHL and Google Scholar databases and the keywords nurse, midwife, health visitor, education and genetics. Papers were included if they were published in English between 1994 and 2005 and included empirical data about genetics education in nursing. In addition, attempts were made to access the grey literature, with requests for information on research, for example, to members of the Association of Genetic Nurses and Counsellors and searches of relevant websites. FINDINGS: Agreement on the relevance of genetics for nursing practice is extensive. Empirical evidence of the learning needs of practitioners highlights widespread deficits in knowledge and skills, and low confidence levels. Provision of nursing education in genetics is patchy and insubstantial across a number of countries, further hampered by lack of strategic development. Significant progress has been made in the identification of learning outcomes for nurses. Research on the delivery of genetics education is limited, but the role of skills-based training, use of clinical scenarios, and importance of assessment have all been identified as factors that can promote learning. CONCLUSION: Whilst areas of good performance were revealed, many studies identified gaps in professional competence and/or education. New initiatives are underway to support genetics education and its integration into professional practice, but further research is needed on the most effective forms of educational delivery, and an international collaborative approach to this should be considered.  相似文献

International Nursing Review 59 , 187–193 Aim: The purpose of this study is to identify central challenges to be addressed in cultural safety education. Background: In recent years, the idea of cultural safety has received increased attention as a way of dealing with diversity in the nursing profession, especially in divided societies. The idea of cultural safety goes beyond recognizing and appreciating difference, to an attempt to grappling with deeper issues like inequality, conflict and histories of oppression. Methods: The paper is based on formative evaluation, using action research, of an academic nursing programme in Israel, involving Jewish and Arab students. Part of this research dealt with the integration of cultural safety education into the curriculum. Findings: The study revealed four challenges in cultural safety education: making it safe for minorities to present their culture to the majority group (‘the ambassador's dilemma’), dealing with tendency of groups to deny the existence of conflict (‘the one big happy family fantasy’), making dynamics of oppression discussable (‘the oppressed and the oppressor’) and creating conditions in which people can freely choose their individual and group identities (‘the threat of identity’). Conclusion: Cultural safety education may be experienced as unsafe for many participants. Better understanding of the challenges of cultural safety education is necessary for making it more effective.  相似文献

The present research focused on an interim evaluation of a new nursing curriculum made by first- and second-year undergraduates. Study 1 examined the assessments made by 90 students of the new, actual programme of their studies, as well as an ideal one, on 21 bipolar criteria reflecting the developing changes in health care practices and higher educational processes in western society. The results of study 1 indicated that students perceived the actual programme as compatible with health care changes, but lacking in terms of the learning process. Study 2 investigated the same assessments among 105 registered nurses who evaluated the traditional nursing programme under which they were trained as well as an ideal one. The results of study 2 showed that registered nurses perceived past curricula as lower than the ideal on both health care and process of learning. The results of this interim evaluation imply that the new nursing curriculum follows health care trends, but a shift in the educational process is required.  相似文献

Unmasking the predicament of cultural voyeurism: a postcolonial analysis of international nursing placements The growing interest in international nursing placements cannot be left unnoticed. After 11 years into this twenty‐first century, violations of human rights and freedom of speech, environmental disasters, and armed conflicts still create dire living conditions for men and women around the world. Nurses have an ethical duty to address issues of social justice and global health as a means to fulfil nursing’s social mandate. However, international placements raise some concerns. Drawing on the works of postcolonial theorists in nursing and social sciences, we examine the risk of replicating colonialist practices and discourses of health in international clinical placements. Referring to Bakhtin’s notions of dialogism and unfinalizability, we envision a culturally safe nursing practice arising from dialogical encounters between the Self as an Other and with the Other as an Other. We suggest that exploring the intricacies of cultural and race relations in everyday nursing practice are the premises upon which nurses can understand the broader historic, racial, gendered, political and economic contexts of global health issues. Finally, we make suggestions for developing culturally safe learning opportunities at the international level without minimizing the impact of dialogical cultural encounters occurring at the local and community levels.  相似文献

目的:探讨自我管理教育课程对糖尿病患者自我效能的影响.方法:将240例糖尿病患者随机分为观察组128例和对照组112例,观察组实施自我管理教育课程,对照组采用常规护理,观察比较两组空腹血糖(FBGL)、餐后2h血糖(2 h BGL)、甘油三脂(TC)、总胆固醇(TG)、收缩压(SBP)、舒张压(DBP)、体重指数(BMI)、糖化血红蛋白(HbA1c)、自我效能情况.结果:观察组干预后FBGL、2 h BGL、TC、TG、BP、BMI、SBP、DBP、HbA1c与对照组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);观察组自我效能得分(健康合理饮食除外)高于对照组(P<0.05,P<0.01).结论:糖尿病患者实施自我管理教育课程可减少并发症的发生,提高其自我效能和生活质量.  相似文献

The need for mental health clinicians to practice cultural safety is vital in ensuring meaningful care and in moving towards improving the mental health outcomes for Aboriginal people. The concept of cultural safety is particularly relevant to mental health professionals as it seeks to promote cultural integrity and the promotion of social justice, equity and respect. A substantive theory that explained the experience of providing cultural safety in mental health care to Aboriginal patients was developed using grounded theory methodology. Mental health professionals engaged in a social psychological process, called seeking solutions by navigating the labyrinth to overcome the experience of being unprepared. During this process participants moved from a state of being unprepared to one where they began to navigate the pathway of cultural safety. The findings of this research suggest health professionals have a limited understanding of the concept of cultural safety. The experience of providing cultural safety has not been adequately addressed by organizations, health services, governments, educational providers and policy makers. Health services, organizations and government agencies must work with Aboriginal people to progress strategies that inform and empower staff to practice cultural safety.  相似文献

An evidence-based approach to Public/Community Health Nursing (P/CHN) requires that P/CHN educators prepare practitioners with the relevant skills, attitudes, and knowledge. Such education should be competency-based and have measurable outcomes to demonstrate student preparation. In 2003, the Quad Council competencies were developed to be applied at two levels of public health nursing practice: the staff nurse/generalist role and the manager/specialist/consultant role. This paper describes a process for evaluation and revision of a graduate curriculum to prepare Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) in P/CHN, to ensure that the educational program addresses and develops knowledge and proficiency in all relevant competencies. This paper documents the process of integrating the competencies throughout the P/CHN graduate curriculum at varying levels, guiding students to achieve proficiency in each competency by the end of the program. Measurement of achievement in these competencies will be discussed, and examples provided. Advanced Practice Public Health Nurses educated via this competency-based approach will be prepared to sit for national certification as a CNS in Public/Community Health, and to assume leadership roles in public health nursing.  相似文献

This paper explores the first issues encountered when establishing a method of service user involvement in the preparation of a cohort of mental health nursing students during their branch programme. The method involved the creation of a group of service users and students whose purpose was to jointly reflect upon mental health issues. To do this students are expected to use their experience from practice placements and the service users to use their experiences as recipients of mental health services. This approach is being investigated through research utilizing an evaluative case study with features of action research incorporated into the design. The findings to date, which concern the process of negotiation, pre-study attitudinal survey and the first group process, will be presented. This will offer mental health professionals the opportunity to gain insight into one approach of actively involving service users in programmes of higher education over a sustained period of time. Reflection on practice themes will include: collaborative strategy, evaluative case study, education, mental health nursing, reflection on practice, and service-user involvement.  相似文献

Abstract

The interprofessional clinical experience (ICE) was designed to introduce trainees to the roles of different healthcare professionals, provide an opportunity to participate in an interprofessional team, and familiarize trainees with caring for older adults in the nursing home setting. Healthcare trainees from seven professions (dentistry, medicine, nursing, nutrition, occupational therapy, optometry and social work) participated in ICE. This program consisted of individual patient interviews followed by a team meeting to develop a comprehensive care plan. To evaluate the impact of ICE on attitudinal change, the UCLA Geriatric Attitudes Scale and a post-experience assessment were used. The post-experience assessment evaluated the trainees’ perception of potential team members’ roles and attitudes about interprofessional team care of the older adult. Attitudes toward interprofessional teamwork and the older adult were generally positive. ICE is a novel program that allows trainees across healthcare professions to experience interprofessional teamwork in the nursing home setting.  相似文献
