Kyste dermoïde intraorbitaire : un cas

Dermoid cysts account for 3–4 % of primary orbital tumors. The intraorbital location is relatively rare. The authors report a case of a 12-year-old male with an intraorbital dermoid cyst revealed by progressive right proptosis. The imaging aspects (CT scan and MRI) were consistent with intraconic dermoid cyst. The tumor was extirpated via a subfrontal approach. Histopathologic examination confirmed the diagnosis of dermoid cyst. The authors discuss the clinical symptoms, radiological aspects, and management.     

Le lymphome primitif de la prostate: à propos d’un cas avec revue de la littérature

Primary lymphoma of the prostate is a rare malignancy. Patients initially present with local and general symptoms. A variety of treatments have been used, including prostatectomy, radiotherapy, or a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Reports in the literature reflect the poor outcome of prostatic lymphoma due to the fact that it is usually diagnosed late. We report the case of a 73-year-old patient who presented with urinary retention associated with persistent constipation and considerable weight loss. He was diabetic and reported a history of transitional cell carcinoma stage pT1, grade G3, which had been treated with transurethral resection and BCG therapy. Physical examination revealed a considerably enlarged prostate which was confirmed by imaging studies. Histological analysis of the tissue obtained on transrectal biopsy revealed a primary malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma, type B, of the prostate. The patient was treated with chemotherapy. Despite considerable reduction of the tumor size starting from the 3^rd week, the patient died the day after his 5^th course of chemotherapy.     

Une tumeur osseuse rare de la voûte crânienne : le fibrome chondromyxoïde. À propos d’un cas et revue de la littérature

Chondromyxoid fibroma is an uncommon benign bone tumor of cartilaginous origin. It is often located in long bone metaphysis. We report a case involving the left frontotemporal cranial vault in a 44-year-old woman. Fifteen cranial vault cases have been reported in the international literature. Surgical resection of the lesion with tumor-free margins is the key factor to cure it and avoid local recurrence.     

Utilisation d’un ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) dans un cas d’hypoxémie réfractaire associée à un traumatisme crânien grave

Traumatic brain injuries are fairly sensitive to hypoxia. For patient with associated lung and brain traumas, different means used to improve oxygen blood level are poorly described. We report the use of ECMO in a refractory hypoxemia occurred to a multitrauma young patient with neurological lesions.
