ObjectiveTo assess the impact of neonatal community outreach team led weaning of home oxygen on the duration of oxygen therapy in preterm infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia.MethodsA retrospective study.CriteriaThe criteria used for weaning of oxygen was <4% percentage of time spent at oxygen saturation (Sp02) <90% during the recording time of pulse oximetry.OutcomeThe impact on total duration of home oxygen and early discharge from hospital. In addition, a secondary outcome was to measuring hypoxic events during the weaning process.ResultsThe median duration of oxygen therapy was 47.5 days and the median length of stay in hospital was 76 days. The weaning of oxygen was not associated with hypoxic events during weaning.ConclusionNeonatal outreach team plays a significant role in reducing the duration of home oxygen treatment and early discharge from hospital.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to review the current home oxygen weaning programme used in the past 6 years by the Community Neonatal Nurses, in order to improve or maintain current practice. The study was done retrospectively, by reviewing data of infants discharged from the neonatal unit based in London, United Kingdom and weaned off oxygen by the Community Neonatal Nurses. At least 65/108 (60%) infants were weaned off home oxygen within the 1st year of life.  相似文献

目的:探索长期氧疗对慢性阻塞性肺疾病(COPD)血凝状态、内皮功能和肾功能的影响。方法:56例COPD患者,随机分成两组:(1)治疗组:30例,男性19例,女性11例,平均年龄(72.5±10.1)岁;(2)对照组:26例,男性14例,女性12例,平均年龄(73.9±9.5)岁。治疗组在出院后开始吸入申威8L压缩氧,吸入氧浓度(FIO2)29%,每日12h计1年。治疗前后常规检查肺功能(FEV1)、动脉血气,肝、肾功能、血沉(ESR)、血凝及血粘状态指标[D-二聚体、纤维蛋白原(FN)、血浆及全血粘滞度(高切、低切)、内皮素-1(ET-1)、血β2-微球蛋白]。结果:治疗组治疗后PaO2及SaO2增高(P<0.01),PCV、D-二聚体、血浆及全血粘度(高切和低切)均明显下降(P<(0.01);同时内皮功能也得到改善,ET-1下降。血肌酐降低(P<0.05);血β2-微球蛋白下降。对照组各指标均无变化(P>0.05)。两组治疗前后肝功能及尿素氮无显著差异(P>0.05)。结论:长期氧疗对改善COPD高凝状态、内皮功能和肾功能具有较好的疗效。  相似文献
