This systematic review aimed to analyze the scientific production concerning the use of products in the treatment of wounds, published by REBEn from 1970 to 2003. We consulted all numbers of the journal published in the period, identifying 41 articles of interest. After an appraisal reading we included 11 papers in the sample. We identified a larger publication in the decade of 1990, prevailing authors of the attendance area, almost-experimental plan and experience repor. The studied products were papain, propolis, sugar, Unna boot, activated coal, transparent film, amniotic membrane, albumin, collagenase, hydrocolloid dressing, calcium alginate, anti-bacterial agents, essential greasing acids, viscose fibers and polyester. The findings demonstrated they denote positive effects of the use of the products.  相似文献

Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem-REBEn (Brazilian Journal of Nursing) is now 70 years old. It was created in 1932, and was initially called Anais de Enfermagem. Its main purpose was to be a communication link among Brazilian professionals of nursing. REBEn, which is directly linked to ABEn (Brazilian Association of Nursing), also has as its objective the publicizing of scientific production in different fields of knowledge which can be of interest for the nursing profession. The journal went through many difficulties before achieving the current status of most important publishing in the field of nursing in Brazil. The periodical was developed along many generations and has now achieved intellectual maturity which guaranteed its inclusion in the international indexation of scientific periodicals.  相似文献

The inquiry of this study is the beliefs related to the nursing professional in the first decades of this activity in Brazil. The investigation presupposes that some of these beliefs are still current. The objective is to point out the beliefs expressed by Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem (Brazilian Journal of Nursing) in 33 articles, during the period between 1932 (when the journal was created) and 1954. Five notions of the nursing professional were identified through the analyses of the symbology presented on the cover of the periodical--Egyptian mythology; ideal, science and art, inscribed in a triangle. The categories established for nurses were: self-forgetful, heroine, socially committed, mercenary and bad angel. Finally, the study proposes an interpretation to the ideas presented in the triangle.  相似文献

This is a qualitative study, using an exploratory approach, which has as its main aim to analyze and counterpoint central issues and personalities of the Brazilian Nursing Conferences and the editorials of the Brazilian Nursing Journal, from 1977 to 1987. It was analyzed 09 annuals and 24 editorials. The results show that the contents were aligned with the policy of the central ABEn. The leadership of Ana Nery School and USP Nursing School is evident in this period. Male nurses had no expressive participation in the nursing conferences, except those who were members of the PARTICIPACAO movement. We found only one editorial written by a male nurse. We observed changes in the central ABEn policy after 1984 provoked by the PARTICIPACAO movement and, influencing the change of subjects at the conferences, and the editorials of the REBEn.  相似文献

The American healthcare system is in need of fundamental change. With more than a decade of annual forums on quality improvement in healthcare and alarming statistics ranking medical errors among the top 10 causes of death in the United States, hospitals and health systems across the country are responding with a coordinated approach to quality improvement. Parkland Health & Hospital System believes the ideal public hospital system requires three critical components to achieve the Institute of Medicine's quality aims: (I) an emphasis on quality that is embraced by senior leadership, (2) careful measurement selection, and (3) the development of a robust infrastructure for outcomes research. This article describes Parkland's approach to each component and takes a look at selected processes and outcomes.  相似文献

ObjectiveTo evaluate stakeholders’ understanding and opinions of the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm); to identify factors affecting funding levels; and to explore the future use of IFFIm.MethodsBetween July and September 2015, we interviewed 33 individuals from 25 organizations identified as stakeholders in IFFIm. In total 22.5 hours of semi-structured interviews were recorded, transcribed and analysed using a framework method.FindingsStakeholders’ understanding of IFFIm’s financing mechanism and its outcomes varied and many stakeholders wanted more information. Participants highlighted that the change in the macro-economic environment following the 2008 financial crisis affected national policy in donor countries and subsequently the number of new commitments IFFIm received. Since Gavi is now seen as a successful and mature organization, participants stated that donors prefer to donate directly to Gavi. The pharmaceutical industry valued IFFIm for providing funding stability and flexibility. Other stakeholders valued IFFIm’s ability to access funds early and enable Gavi to increase vaccine coverage. Overall, stakeholders thought IFFIm was successful, but they had divergent views about IFFIm’s on-going role. Participants listed two issues where bond financing mechanisms may be suitable: emergency preparedness and outcome-based time-limited interventions.ConclusionThe benefit of pledging funds through IFFIm needs to be re-evaluated. There are potential uses for bond financing to raise funds for other global health issues, but these must be carefully considered against criteria to establish effectiveness, with quantifiable pre-defined outcome indicators to evaluate performance.  相似文献

This text, while considering nursing as a profession, makes evident, initially, a perspective to develop it: the one that proves that we are capable to transform at least the world of health which we live in. In order to do this I propose myself to know it as e world of work and of health practices which has been, as I debate, historically determined. Such practices, according to their evolution, are configured in capitalism as a service, what gives to it a special characteristic in this production process. The profession of nursing while a participant of the collective work develops, however, its own original task, which has been being defined within this context, based on its own work processes--of care taking, educating, managing, which, keeping in mind its economic, political and symbolic properties discussed in this paper, will be able to open the necessary fissures for the daily action of a project takes uses as a reference the interest of the health service user, represented by his health needs.  相似文献
