对中华眼科杂志的几点建议

中华眼科杂志是国内眼科界最具权威性的学术期刊 ,集眼科基础、实验及临床研究于一体 ,及时报道了我国眼科学各个不同时期的重大科研成果 ,充分反映了眼科学不同专业的学术成就 ;针对眼科专业的热点问题 ,每期均有重点内容 ,栏目内容翔实且多富于新意 ,这对指导我国眼科学的健康发展 ,促进国内外眼科学术交流做出了重要贡献。作为一名眼科医生 ,我喜欢、热爱中华眼科杂志 ,因为中华眼科杂志是我的良师益友 ,衷心希望该刊办得更好。为此 ,提出以下几点不成熟的建议 ,供参考。1.办好“临床病例病理讨论”栏目 :这类文章对眼科临床医生有重要参…     

中华眼科杂志1999至2004年载文被引分析研究

目的从文献引证的角度透视中华眼科杂志的学术水平和期刊质量。方法依据《中国生物医学期刊引文数据库》（CMCI）提供的资料和数据,采用文献计量学方法,对中华眼科杂志载文被CMCI来源期刊引用的情况进行统计分析及评价。结果单篇平均被引次数为4．17次,被引频次较高的论文数占载文量的多数。被引作者群分布在我国的32个省、直辖市、自治区,其中北京、广东、上海居前列。有354种期刊引用中华眼科杂志,被引率49．96％,自引率8．87％。结论中华眼科杂志所载论文质量和被引率均较高,已形成具有独立风格和特色且相对稳定的研究体系。该刊不仅是我国眼科学研究领域最重要的信息源之一,也是我国医学领域的主要核心期刊。     

继承和发展

今年是中华眼科杂志创刊60周年,是值得中国眼科界庆贺的一件大事.当新中国刚刚成立之时,我国一些著名眼科医师就在筹划,甚至自己筹款出版中国眼科界的一份杂志.1950年10月1日,中华眼科杂志正式创刊,宣告了中国眼科医师有了属于自己的专业杂志.虽然中华眼科杂志在我国"三年自然灾害"和"文革"期间两次停刊,但是历史又将机遇给了中华眼科杂志,从1978年"改革开放"之后的30年正是中华眼科杂志由复刊走向持续快速发展的时期.     

孜孜以求创新发展

回顾中华眼科杂志发展历程,很多事仍历历在目,记忆犹新.杂志的成长与我国眼科事业的发展历程息患相关,从历史的长河中拾起几朵浪花,让我们共同鉴证中华眼科杂志成长的历程. 中华眼科杂志经历了创刊初期的艰难,因3年自然灾害和10年动乱而两次停刊,直到1978年随着国家形势的好转,才得以复刊.在中华医学会领导的亲切关怀下、在广大眼科工作者的热切期盼中,在办刊人员的积极努力下,中华眼科杂志终于复刊.经过60年的风风雨雨,中华眼科杂志已经成为具有高度学术威信、引领眼科事业发展的优秀期刊.

我国眼外伤研究50年成就

在庆祝中华眼科杂志创刊60周年的时候,回顾过去,展望未来.60年来,经过一代又一代办刊人和广大眼科医师的努力,中华眼科杂志已经成为国内最具权威性的眼科专业杂志,形成了"敬业、惟真、奋进"的优良传统.现在,中华眼科杂志已经具备进一步发展为国内外知名的具有高度学术威信的眼科专业杂志的基础.要实现这一宏图,必须做艰苦的努力,应对前进道路上的各种挑战.要充分发挥编委会的集体作用,要继续提高编委会和编辑部全体人员的业务水平,要努力"创造"出优秀的高质量的学术论文,要遵守编辑的道德规范,要不断地听取全国眼科同道的意见、建议和批评,要加强国际合作,以促进中华眼科杂志的进步.

Nordisk ophthalmologisk tidsskrift 1889–1892

In the second half of the nineteenth century several ophthalmological journals appeared (Germany, England, France, United States). In the northern countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden) an initiative lead to ‘Nordisk ophthalmologisk Tidsskrift’ published in the scandinavian languages in the years 1889–92. The ‘driving force’ behind the journal was the first professor in Ophthalmology in Copenhagen, Dr. Edmund Hansen Grut. The purpose with this presentation is to give the background for the rise and fall of the journal which was an attempt to promote Nordic Ophthalmology. The authors turned out, however, to be mainly those involved as editors. The journal never gained broad acceptance and it simply stopped in 1892, without any closing remarks. In spite of its short life the journal should be remembered for the very first publication on the arcuate scotoma, the Bjerrum scotoma from 1889. Although shortlived the initiative was not in vain, as can be read in the preface to the very first volume of Acta ophthalmologica.     

加强学术道德规范,促进眼科学进一步发展

加强学术道德规范建设是我国眼科界具有必要性和紧迫性的大事。在我国眼科学快速发展的大好形势下,还存在着学术道德失范、学术风气不正的严重问题。我们应当在眼科学术活动中有针对性地采取切实有效的措施,规范学术行为,净化和树立良好的学术风气,促进我国眼科学术活动健康发展。中华医学会眼科学分会关于加强学术道德行为规范建设的规定,是加强学术道德行为规范的重要举措,值得全国眼科同道认真关注和严格执行。     

《眼底病》杂志引文统计分析与评价

应用文献计量学方法对《眼底病》杂志自创刊至更名前，共9年31期所刊论文进行统计分析，结果显示本刊平均载文量为主要论文18.03篇/期，引文平均值为6.54篇；我国眼底病著者主要以期刊（78.65%）作为信息的主要来源；引文语种主要是英文（58.39%）；中、英文期刊引文的半衰期分别为3.67年和8.42年。推荐4种中文期刊，6种英文期刊和1种日文期刊为本专业的核心期刊。本研究从侧面反映了我国眼科学眼底病专业的现状和动向，可供作者参考，并为信息学提供资料，也是对《眼底病》杂志的部分总结。 （中华眼底病杂志，1993，9：225-228）     

Using the Journal Club to teach and assess competence in practice-based learning and improvement: a literature review and recommendation for implementation

The traditional journal club has historically been used to teach residents about critically reading and reviewing the literature in order to improve patient care. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education competencies mandate requires that ophthalmology residency programs both teach and assess practice-based learning and improvement. A systematically conducted review of the literature regarding the use of the journal club in resident medical education was performed to define specific recommendations for implementation of a journal club tool. Selected best practices for a successful journal club were gleaned from the existing medical literature. These include the following: 1) the use of a structured review checklist, 2) explicit written learning objectives, and 3) a formalized meeting structure and process. The journal club might prove to be an excellent tool for the assessment of competencies like practice-based learning which may be difficult to assess by other means. Future study is necessary to determine if journal club can improve educational outcomes and promote lifelong competence in practice-based learning.     

The journal impact factor in ophthalmological publications

The journal impact factor, calculated annually by Thomson Scientific (Connecticut, USA), is widely used for many functions including the process of academic evaluation. This article reviews the current trend of the impact factor of journals dedicated to ophthalmology. Journals publishing a larger volume of articles on a broad range of topics, such as Archives of Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology, and Ophthalmology, rank at the top in this aspect, and the majority of journals from the Europe and Japan have a lower impact factor. It is desirable to keep in mind inherent drawbacks of the journal impact factor and to use it wisely when assessing a person for tenure or grant.

Ocular pneumoplethysmography after lens implantation

A series of letters in this journal discussed the safety of ocular pneumoplethysmography (OPG-Gee) in pseudophakic patients. In the interval since these letters, experience with OPG-Gee tests performed on 115 pseudophakic eyes demonstrated no ocular morbidity associated with these procedures.     

Avoiding predatory publishing for early-career ophthalmologists

This article aims at analyzing the impact of predatory publishing in ophthalmology, criteria to identify a legitimate journal, red flags of a predatory journal, sources, and checkpoints available before publishing scientific work in a standard ophthalmology journal. A retrospective review was performed and a list of suspected Ophthalmology predatory journals was extracted through four major so-called blacklists: Beall’s, Cabell’s, Manca’s, and Strinzel’s list. This list of journals was then cross-referenced with the UGC CARE and vetted whitelist of vision science journals to remove the legitimate journals. Moreover, as all the predatory journals are supposed to be open access, all possible types of open-access journals on the Scimago webpage were also searched. A gross estimate in terms of publication cost was searched for, and a list of authentic links to find out a legitimate journal was prepared. Additionally, the methodology by which these predatory journals penetrate legitimate indexes such as PubMed was also evaluated. A total of 51 ophthalmology predatory journals were enlisted. Thirty-eight out of 124 Ophthalmology journals listed on Scimago were open access, and the cost of publishing in predatory journals ranged from USD50–500, which is substantially lower than that in legitimate journals (USD 50–3000). A total of 13 open-access platforms exist, with 10 characteristic red flags to identify a predatory journal. These journals have penetrated legitimate indexes such as PubMed by similar-sounding names to the legitimate journals and have published articles with external funding, which needs indexing. Predatory publishing impacts the quality of research in every field, including Ophthalmology, and must be discouraged.
